"We had a wonderful time on our recent trip to Florence.  The apartment (Tesoro) was great…no complaints.  There were three of us, so it was very spacious.  We loved having breakfast or a snack on the outdoor terrace, overlooking the courtyard and garden (we were blessed with fantastic weather, so we were able to take advantage of this outdoor space)…listening to the birds, and the sounds of the neighborhood.  The best thing about the apartment, in our opinion, is the location.  It is situated in a location that is within walking distance to so many sights and attractions.  If you like to walk, you can get anywhere in Florence from this location.  Also, the apartment’s owner was very gracious, warm and friendly when we met her upon our arrival and the day of our departure. We found it very easy to find our way around the city, and were able to locate convenience/grocery stores, and great restaurants in the area.  We tried to avoid anything that looked “touristy”, and that formula usually resulted in some great, authentic food with friendly service. Florence is a city that everyone should visit! "This little villa tucked off a side street and behind a locked gate was perfect for me. Very private and safe. Although not in Sorrento (a 25 minute walk away) it was in the adjoining town of Sant'Agata. Hotels and eateries very close. The hosts live next door and were very welcoming and helpful. Spacious, very clean, large rooms by Italian standards and beautiful. Easy 20 minute walk to center of Sant'Agata and market, bank, etc. if you want to buy food and cook while there. No view of the sea but its one block away and the lush, mature tropical garden surrounding the little villa more than makes up for it. Only minus is no internet and even with an aircard the tall foliage of the garden prevents a signal."

"My husband and I were in Italy to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The Bucine Loggetta exceeded our expectations. The setting was magnificent, our cottage was very comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The location was a little out of the way, but we had no difficulty getting to where we wanted to go. Our only disappointment was the weather- it was rainy and cool, so we were not able to utilize the terrace or the pool. We would recommend Italy Perfect highly."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vespucci. It is an excellent apartment, very well appointed with everything we needed, including lots of guide books and tips. The owner is a superb hostess, who was especially helpful in guiding us through the car parking ordeal when we arrived just minutes before a performance at Teatro Comunale. It might be nice to mention the proximity to Florence's main concert hall/opera house for those who might want to get tickets in advance. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet, but we were able to easily walk everywhere, even twice to Piazza Michaelangelo across the city. However if you want to spend a lot of time in the Santa Croce area, this is on the other side of town. We especially recommend the sculpture museum at the Bargello and the museum behind the Duomo. They are smaller, accessible and superb. We also enjoyed San Miniato, a church with a wonderful view of the city."

"I just had to drop you a note to THANK YOU for the marvellous villa. It was everything that I had imagined and even more.  The weather was superb for the week and we enjoyed more than one glass of wine on the patio. Francesco was very helpful and accommodating but we really didn't see much of him or his family.  We enjoyed our time in Florence - the bus was fantastic from Bottai - and we loved just exploring the area around San Casciano. Our time in Italy was just fantastic and finishing off our time at the Villa just seemed to be the icing on the cake.  I have no words to express our appreciation for having such a welcoming and comforting home base!  Who knows, our travels may take us to that area again. Thank you again, Lisa, for all of your assistance, your references and your answers to my many endless questions. "You can't go wrong at this apartment. Located a block from the Arno, it is spacious (by foreign apartment standards) and has an elevator which is somewhat rare.. ;-) Neighborhood restaurants and markets are all within blocks. The rail station is about 8 blocks. Main attractions are a little farther, but within walking disrtance if you're hearty. Or just have the folks at the corner coffee bar call a taxi for you. The owner is in the apartment across the hall so any problems or questions can be easily address. She teaches English at the University and is full of info and fun to talk to."

"We had a great time in the Michaela apartment for two weeks in April, 2010. The hosts, Miki and Franco, went out of their way to help us out. We did a lot of cooking in so they brought us extra pans, etc. If you do cook in a lot you can expect to have a utility bill when you leave. A reasonable bill, just expect it. Having an Internet connection on location was an extra plus. Great location, we walked everywhere. If you plan to visit a lot of museums look into the 'Friends of the Uffizi' card. It saves you standing in some long lines. Thank you for the nice feedback! Electricity and gas are charged separately for stays of more than a week as stated in the apartment information. The price for 7 nights or less includes a utility allowance to defray utility costs. These guests incurred modest utility charges for their 2 week stay. We apologize for any confusion over this. Lisa, Italy Perfect."

"This apartment was very clean, roomy and light-filled.There are many great books, umbrellas, a spare room for luggage, and a great kitchen. The wifi worked well and we had 2 computers with us. The location next to the river was beautiful and within 2 blocks we found a great supermarket, butcher, and deli. Within 10 minutes (walking) were many great restaurants. Our hosts were very helpful and concerned that we were happy. As Italy Perfect recommends, travel with ear plugs. This is a noisy city, either with traffic and pedestrian noise or adjacent apartment noise due to very old building structure. We could hear a good bit of noise from the apartment above but the ear plugs worked well for sleeping. We cooked 2 delicious meals and the kitchen and roominess of the apartment made my husband, myself, and our adult daughter perfectly content. Although the apartment is located towards the perimeter of the city, if we got too tired we took a taxi. They were everywhere, professional and reasonably priced (under 10 euro from the Duomo). Il Latini was a fun, good place for dinner. Unfortunately the others are not coming to mind. The best gelato is across the 2nd bridge. Wish I could have some now! Ciao for now."

"The location was excellent. We visited a lot of sites and walked to all of them. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, even though we did not spend a great deal of time in it. The owner was very helpful. It is nice to get information from someone in the city. The cell phone in the apartment was not used often but it was a great idea and did come in handy."

Serenata

"My wife and I absolutely loved the apartment, the location of the apartment, and Venice. We had visited Venice a few years ago; however we were only there a few days and always wanted to make it back for a longer stay. It worked out perfect for us, because we were fortunate to experience Carnivale for half of our week in Venice and then just like someone flipped a switch, Carnivale was over and we were able to enjoy Venice without the crowds. My wife and I first visited Italy about five years ago and this was our third trip back. We both love visiting Italy not only because of the beauty of the Country, the history, the architecture, the art, but also because the Italian people we have met and come in contact with are so kind and friendly. We were really not expecting the disorganized and brusk reception that we received in Venice from the apartment greeter. I have to say that we were very pleased with the service we received from Italy Perfect and we could not have been happier with Serenata. Serenata is truly a gem of an apartment for visiting Venice, the location could not have been better in our opinion, the furnishings and accommodations made it our little home away from home that we became very attached to. When we visit Venice again we would definitely book Serenata, although perhaps we might request a different greeter."

"We loved our visit to Florence and it was made even more enjoyable because the Strozzi was in the middle of everything. We could walk to everything and the nearby restaurants were great! The owners were so sweet and helpful and made us feel right at home. Would stay there again!"

Strozzi

Strozzi

"My daughter and I spent a wonderful week in Florence and our stay in the Strozzi apartment made is a comfortable one. It was nice to have a living area and separate bedroom with spacious bathroom and even a dressing area. Strozzi faces an inner courtyard which is quieter than facing the street. There were a couple of evenings, when people staying across the courtyard from us played their music very loudly but it really didn't bother us since we liked that kind of music! We felt very secure at Strozzi knowing that we were in a building with an outside locking door, down a hall with its own locking door and on the third floor (U.S.). The elevator came in handy when we came and went with our luggage, but other days we used the stairs and convinced ourselves that we were walking off all of the great food we were eating. The apartment is very centrally located and we walked to everything we wanted to see with no problem. We took advantage of the use of the mobile phone and it worked well for our needs. There were only a few small problems we encountered. There are three computers in the shared area, however only one was able to get internet access. The other two seemed to need reconfiguring. Also, we could not get the printer to work when we wanted to print out boarding passes. The other small issue was with the kitchenette. Instead of a kitchen, Strozzi has a four-burner stove, sink and small fridge located in the living area in a large armoire-like cabinet. The two back burners didn't work and neither did the fridge. There is however a fridge located in the dressing area that did work. If you intend to do any meal preperation at all, the cooking facilities at Strozzi may not be enough. There was no work surface area and it was a bit tricky to juggle various kitchen chores at once. Over all, we had a fantastic visit and would definitely use Italy Perfect again. The comfort and convenience of a centrally located apartment beats out a hotel every time. [Sorry this guest had a problem with the printer in the little computer room, it has been fixed. Our personal review of Strozzi states "Kitchenette is suited to light meal preparation since there is no counter space" which this guest might have overlooked. Sorry that there was a misunderstanding during the check in process about the stove & fridge, possibly due to a language barrier. The small refrigerator has since been removed to make room for a microwave. The dressing room has a full size refrigerator with separate freezer compartment. All 4 stove burners work but switching on all 4 at once can cause the circuit breaker to trip which is standard in most Italian homes, same as not being able to operate two energy hungry appliances such as the washing machine and a hairdryer in almost all Italy properties, explained in detail in the confirmation materials.  Lisa, Italy Perfect]"

"The apartment was located in a very quiet area and an easy walk to the city center. The owner was so helpful in getting us settled in the apartment and also with information on the city. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable for 2 couples. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip. Italy Perfect provided all the information we needed prior to the trip and we will use them again for our future visits to Italy."

"We loved the location of our apartment in Rome. Very near Piazza del Popolo and The Spanish Steps, we walked everywhere -- even walked to Vatican City. The apartment was small but cozy with modern conveniences in a great, old neighborhood. Christina, our greeter, was outstanding."

"We loved the Tesoro apartment. It is big, beautiful and located in the perfect place. The Piazza Santa Croce is right out the door and it is central to everything. We walked everywhere. We especially enjoyed the welcome "treats" and having all of the books on Florence and Italy to read and reference."

Casa Rossa

Casa Rossa

"Casa Rossa was everything we dreamed it would be. This was our first trip to Italy and I cannot imagine that it could be bettered. The villa was perfect for four, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Nicely appointed kitchen, fantastic fireplace with olive wood to burn. The sitting areas are nicer than they appear in the photos. The ceilings are typical Tuscan beamed - bonus. The terrace. Wow. Over 180 degree views of the countryside, olive groves, vineyards, just stunning. The location half way between Florence and Siena was perfect, loads of smaller towns to go and see too. Certainly would recommend going to any of the markets in the smaller towns - San Casciano, Poggibonsi, Tavernalle. Favourite restaurant close by is Cantinetta del Nonno in San Casciano - I think on Via Machiavelli - outstanding house wine there too! Francesco and his family looked after us very well without interfering. It was the grape harvest when we were there and they showed us the operations willingly. Complimentary wine and olive oil on our arrival was a lovely welcome. I would rent through Italy Perfect again - good prompt service, thorough instructions and advice."

"The apartment was very large and very nice. The Frescos on the wall were lovely. Our host was not available on the day we arrived so she sent a friend over until she could get there the next day. He did not fully explain how to operate everything and it wasn't until the next day when our host got there that we were able to operate all appliances. The location was WONDERFUL! Our only problem: When we entered the apartment, it was aparent that someone/many people had been smoking in that apartment. I'm sure it is a no smoking apartment and if one smoked you should have used the little balcony. However the smell was awful until we could get the windows open...every single time we came in the apartment. The smell went away eventually only to be battled the next time we closed all the windows and came back later. The apartment could also have used more lighting..it was quite dark in there at night..made reading difficult. Having said that...there were plenty of towels, the apartment was well stocked and TWO bathrooms was wonderful! [We are delighted to hear that the Davis' enjoyed the apartment and location but sorry to hear about the smoke smell. We assume that perhaps previous guests might have ignored the no-smoking policy which is hard to enforce if guests are not considerate. We will ask the owner to review the lighting and supplement it as needed. Lisa Italy Perfect]"

"We just got back from Italy.  We were very happy with our accommodations in Rome and in Tuscany. At Casa San Vito we enjoyed meeting Francesco and his family. The house was perfect and of course we loved Tuscany. I have told numerous people about your website and recommended accommodations.  Hopefully we can do it again sometime perhaps in Paris."

"Time flies and I have been very remiss in not writing earlier to say how much Liz and I enjoyed our holiday on Serenata a month ago. It was everything that your brochure said it was, and some more so. It was hard to fault it - except perhaps the lack of basic kitchen equipment such as scales, measuring jugs, etc.. We especially enjoyed the roof terrace and spent a lot of time there looking down on the gondoliers, etc on the pathway below. [I’ll mention the lack of a scale and measuring jugs to the owner; I know she cooks when she is in Venice. I’ve seen Italians cook, they do it all by estimate amd measures at hand, so maybe that’s why those items are missing. My Italian-Italian cook book doesn’t use precise measurements: big spoon, little spoon, a glass-full or a small cup, a fist. a thumb... pb]"

"The location and apartment itself couldn't have been better. The 3 of us were quite comfortable, and the second bathroom down the hall was very handy. We appreciated having the internet and wireless available. The location was great, right in the heart of the city center. The only drawback was the noise. We kept our windows open because it was warm, rather than use the air conditioning. The noise late at night from the other apartments was significant. Bring your earplugs or shut the doors! We were met arrival and well oriented. I had private Italian lessons for a week at Istituto Italiano nearby and it was great. [In addition to the bathroom off the Strozzi bedroom there is an extra bathroom for the exclusive use of Strozzi or Prisco apartment guests down a private hall. You are likely to hear the neighbors when guests & the other building residents have their windows open, as you would anywhere in the world where there is close quarters, an adjustment for travelers who are accustomed to living in private, standalone houses.
