"The apartment was charming - great location and wonderfully decorated. The owner, who lives upstairs was also charming, very helpful and extremely nice. The one drawback to the apartment is the heating, which is probably not an issue 90% of the time - however we happened to be there during one of the coldest periods of the year. The system broke down the 1st day so there was no heat or hot water, and it took a while after being fixed before there was sufficient heat. All in all, however, a very pleasant stay."
"Valentina was spacious, beautifully appointed, central and surprisingly quiet. We would like to stay there again!"
"We just returned from spending Thanksgiving in Rome where our son was spending a college semester studying abroad, and had the great fortune to discover Italy Perfect and Lisa Byrne as we were searching for an apartment. We were originally booked for another apartment through Italy Perfect, but due to an unexpected construction matter, Lisa informed us that we had the option of staying at the beautiful Valentina apartment near the Spanish Steps. We were staying for 11 nights, and were going to move to the 2 bedroom Renata apartment next door after the first 6 nights as some of our traveling companions were returning home, and we no longer needed the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The incredibly charming owner of the apartments arrived and offered to let us stay in the larger Valentina apartment for the entire 11 nights at no additional cost. The entire experience could not have been better. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and in the perfect location in Rome. High ceilings, fabulous antiques, beautiful carpets, new bathrooms with a jetted tub and heated towel racks, a working gas fireplace to enjoy a glass of wine beside, large windows that open to the beautiful streets below, and very functional kitchen and laundry. We celebrated Thanksgiving with 15 friends who also had children studying in Rome, and the apartment was perfect. The space easily accommodated the group. It is a truly special place. Everything is within walking distance. The street is a pedestrian street, so it was quiet at night time, except for the wonderful violinist out on the corner. Great restaurants of all price ranges are withing minutes of the apartment, as well as markets. Via Condotti is a very short block away with the most spectacular designer stores. The daily housekeeping by Nelly was a real treat. We really cannot say enough about how great Italy Perfect, Lisa, Marcella and the apartment all are. We will definitely contact Lisa again for our next trips to Italy, France or London. Many thanks for helping make our trip to Roma so special."

"We loved our visit to Florence and it was made even more enjoyable because the Strozzi was in the middle of everything. We could walk to everything and the nearby restaurants were great! The owners were so sweet and helpful and made us feel right at home. Would stay there again!"
"Just got back a couple weeks ago from a wonderful stay at the Valentina apartment. Working with Italy Perfect was, well, perfect. Lisa was very responsive to all of our questions and gave us plenty of useful information in preparation for our trip. The location was great. Even though it got quite crowded just a couple streets away, the area right by the apartment was always uncrowded and relatively quiet. Positives: Apartment was very spacious and clean. It had almost everything we needed (except for minor things like napkins and washcloths). Beds were very comfortable. Marcella, the woman who owns the apartment, lives in the same building and was very pleasant. There are a ton of restaurants and shops very near by, as well as a daily fruit and vegetable market just down the street. There is an elevator in the building which was quite welcome after long days filled with walking. It's small, only two people can fit. But the stairs weren't bad as an alternative, with the apartment being on the third floor. Negatives: The back bedroom got quite a lot of noise at night. We could hear the people walking and talking upstairs, and were also awakened by a dog barking, baby crying, and birds (of all things) in the middle of the night. This is not said to discourage anyone from staying here - I think these are typical noises you will encounter living in an apartment anywhere. I am just mentioning it to make sure future dwellers are prepared! Bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The smallest bedroom has a "loft", which is accessed by a ladder and really only has room for the mattress. I think it would be adventuresome for children, but quite undesirable for an adult. Additionally, the shower in the corresponding bathroom was TINY and did not get used at all by us. The apartment was a joy to come back to every night and we are so glad we chose to stay there. We would recommend the apartment without hesitation!"

"Dear Pat; just to say, if I haven't done so before, how much we enjoyed our stay in via Bocca di Leone, very many thanks for your help with that. And also for the children's Rome guide, there is some good stuff in there which our 8 year old son liked (and indeed plenty of things which I liked!). Kind regards and best wishes Tom Thomas Howells Publisher www.blueguides.com"
"My daughter and I spent a wonderful week in Florence and our stay in the Strozzi apartment made is a comfortable one. It was nice to have a living area and separate bedroom with spacious bathroom and even a dressing area. Strozzi faces an inner courtyard which is quieter than facing the street. There were a couple of evenings, when people staying across the courtyard from us played their music very loudly but it really didn't bother us since we liked that kind of music! We felt very secure at Strozzi knowing that we were in a building with an outside locking door, down a hall with its own locking door and on the third floor (U.S.). The elevator came in handy when we came and went with our luggage, but other days we used the stairs and convinced ourselves that we were walking off all of the great food we were eating. The apartment is very centrally located and we walked to everything we wanted to see with no problem. We took advantage of the use of the mobile phone and it worked well for our needs. There were only a few small problems we encountered. There are three computers in the shared area, however only one was able to get internet access. The other two seemed to need reconfiguring. Also, we could not get the printer to work when we wanted to print out boarding passes. The other small issue was with the kitchenette. Instead of a kitchen, Strozzi has a four-burner stove, sink and small fridge located in the living area in a large armoire-like cabinet. The two back burners didn't work and neither did the fridge. There is however a fridge located in the dressing area that did work. If you intend to do any meal preperation at all, the cooking facilities at Strozzi may not be enough. There was no work surface area and it was a bit tricky to juggle various kitchen chores at once. Over all, we had a fantastic visit and would definitely use Italy Perfect again. The comfort and convenience of a centrally located apartment beats out a hotel every time. [Sorry this guest had a problem with the printer in the little computer room, it has been fixed. Our personal review of Strozzi states "Kitchenette is suited to light meal preparation since there is no counter space" which this guest might have overlooked. Sorry that there was a misunderstanding during the check in process about the stove & fridge, possibly due to a language barrier. The small refrigerator has since been removed to make room for a microwave. The dressing room has a full size refrigerator with separate freezer compartment. All 4 stove burners work but switching on all 4 at once can cause the circuit breaker to trip which is standard in most Italian homes, same as not being able to operate two energy hungry appliances such as the washing machine and a hairdryer in almost all Italy properties, explained in detail in the confirmation materials. "The apartment was located in a very quiet area and an easy walk to the city center. The owner was so helpful in getting us settled in the apartment and also with information on the city. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable for 2 couples. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip. Italy Perfect provided all the information we needed prior to the trip and we will use them again for our future visits to Italy."

"The apartment is perfectly located. We were able to walk everywhere. Since we spent a great deal of time across the river, as well, Landini felt like "the heart of Rome" in terms of location. Mr Parafen is a gem. He took us on a brief walking tour of the neighborhood when we arrived, pointing out good restaurants, banks, the local grocery store, etc. This was extremely helpful. One minor inconvenience is that there are only two keys to the apartment. There are three bedrooms, it'd be nice to have at least one set per couple. We had to plan around the key situation. Some nice fluffy towels, instead of the worn, scratchy ones would nice. Also, there were no blankets on the beds or anywhere to be found. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the luxurious feel of the Landini building. It's a romantic, charming place to stay. Cheryl"
"We loved the location of our apartment in Rome. Very near Piazza del Popolo and The Spanish Steps, we walked everywhere -- even walked to Vatican City. The apartment was small but cozy with modern conveniences in a great, old neighborhood. Christina, our greeter, was outstanding."

"A wonderful apartment in a perfect location to enjoy Rome. Apartment beautifully furnished with a balcony off the living room that is to die for. Every mordern convience you will need . The owner prepared a list of resturants for us and we tried several with much success. Really no complaints except hot water takes a while to arrive in the showers. If you are use to luxury this fits the bill. We rented through Italy Perfect and Pat Byrne a total professional."
"We loved the Tesoro apartment. It is big, beautiful and located in the perfect place. The Piazza Santa Croce is right out the door and it is central to everything. We walked everywhere. We especially enjoyed the welcome "treats" and having all of the books on Florence and Italy to read and reference."

"Fabulous, large apartment in the middle of a great neighborhood! The apartment was breath-takingly beautiful! And the attention to detail was so gratiously appreciated. We hosted a family wedding and this apartment served all of our needs. Lots of thoughtful details. Very comfortable. Beautiful layout for ourselves and any guests. We'd like to think that it is our Roma home away from home!!"
"Valentina apartment exceeded our expectations. The location, in a "pedestrian only" area near the Spanish Steps, has to be one of the best in Rome. Restaurants, caffes, wine shops and groceries are a short walk. Naturally our wives were ecstatic when they realized the exclusive shops of Via Condotti were just a few meters from our door. The sparkling clean interior is very well appointed with many pieces from the owner's family home. Although in a busy area, with no autos, it was very quiet for sleeping. The owner, who lives two floors above, and her assistant were very attentive. We are already planning a return stay at the Valentina apartment in 2010."
"September 27 - October 3, 2009 The Landini Apartment was very spacious and clean and perfectly located. We enjoyed the terrace of the apartment, the weather was perfect and it was a great place to read a book and drink a glass of wine or two after a day of sight seeing. Our favourite eating and drinking hole was the Campo d'Fiori which is only a five minute walk away. There is market there during the day which has all the fresh fruit and vegetables and other Italian delights you would need. Only one minor comment I would make is there were no cakes of soap so you may need to bring some for your first day. Other wise the apartment was great and I would recommend it to anyone."
"We were apprehensive renting an apartment: unsure of the the quality of the accomodations! Imagine our surprise at arriving at the Renata apt. in Rome. The location is spectacular: walking distance to wonderful shopping, sights, restaurants, and grocery stores! The apartment exceeded our expectations: 2-bedroom, 2 washrooms for a family of four. Perfect kitchen and washer facilities(no dryer). The owner was hospitable and helpful; her housekeeper, provides daily cleaning services which is important when staying for a week in an apt. Ranked 8/10."
"We stayed at Renata near the Spanish Steps for 5 days at the end of Sept. 2009. We loved the apartment. It was modern, good size, and extremely well located. We enjoyed walking the very safe, well lighted, neighborhood and found good restaurants and a market within two blocks. Marcella, the owner and greeter, was extremely cordial and helpful with our questions. We walked to the Vatican and took the Metro to farther away attractions. My only suggestion is to let guests know that private cars cannot enter this area, as we found out when we tried to return to pick up luggage on our departure date. Not a problem as cabs are readily available. I have recommended you extremely friendly website and services to numerous people already and will certainly use Italy Perfect for future services. Thanks again."
"Casa Rossa was everything we dreamed it would be. This was our first trip to Italy and I cannot imagine that it could be bettered. The villa was perfect for four, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Nicely appointed kitchen, fantastic fireplace with olive wood to burn. The sitting areas are nicer than they appear in the photos. The ceilings are typical Tuscan beamed - bonus. The terrace. Wow. Over 180 degree views of the countryside, olive groves, vineyards, just stunning. The location half way between Florence and Siena was perfect, loads of smaller towns to go and see too. Certainly would recommend going to any of the markets in the smaller towns - San Casciano, Poggibonsi, Tavernalle. Favourite restaurant close by is Cantinetta del Nonno in San Casciano - I think on Via Machiavelli - outstanding house wine there too! Francesco and his family looked after us very well without interfering. It was the grape harvest when we were there and they showed us the operations willingly. Complimentary wine and olive oil on our arrival was a lovely welcome. I would rent through Italy Perfect again - good prompt service, thorough instructions and advice."

"The apartment was very large and very nice. The Frescos on the wall were lovely. Our host was not available on the day we arrived so she sent a friend over until she could get there the next day. He did not fully explain how to operate everything and it wasn't until the next day when our host got there that we were able to operate all appliances. The location was WONDERFUL! Our only problem: When we entered the apartment, it was aparent that someone/many people had been smoking in that apartment. I'm sure it is a no smoking apartment and if one smoked you should have used the little balcony. However the smell was awful until we could get the windows open...every single time we came in the apartment. The smell went away eventually only to be battled the next time we closed all the windows and came back later. The apartment could also have used more lighting..it was quite dark in there at night..made reading difficult. Having said that...there were plenty of towels, the apartment was well stocked and TWO bathrooms was wonderful! [We are delighted to hear that the Davis' enjoyed the apartment and location but sorry to hear about the smoke smell. We assume that perhaps previous guests might have ignored the no-smoking policy which is hard to enforce if guests are not considerate. We will ask the owner to review the lighting and supplement it as needed. Lisa Italy Perfect]"
"We spent a month in Italy this year and the highlight was the time we spent in this beautiful apartment in Rome, the lovely garden court yard was fantastic and great to spend time relaxing with my family. The location was brilliant only a few metres from the main shopping district of Rome which my wife thoroughly enjoyed. I cannot stress how wonderful our stay was and how well we were received and treated by the owner of the apartment. The whole process went to plan flawlessly and at every stage of the process everyone was helpful. A big thanks to all. Best regards David"
"We just got back from Italy. We were very happy with our accommodations in Rome and in Tuscany. At Casa San Vito we enjoyed meeting Francesco and his family. The house was perfect and of course we loved Tuscany. I have told numerous people about your website and recommended accommodations. Hopefully we can do it again sometime perhaps in Paris."
