"It was perfect, love the place. Would go back 100 times to that beautiful, pleasant place. No complaints.
I would recommend to anyone. The owner was nice. Love the place. [We agree! The Italy Perfect Team]
"The apartment is located in a perfect position, close to Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. There is also a very good supermarket really nearby. We enjoyed our staying very much, the place feels homey, it is very spacious and it is equipped with new appliances, it is full of light, bed are super comfy and so is the sofa. The only problem was we could not stay longer!"
"While we had high hopes for our family week in Florence with our 3 grown up children; Miravista clearly exceeded our expectations. It was a very comfortable, nicely understated decorated, with good 2 1/2 bathrooms and ample kitchen, sunny penthouse. While it had a good modern elevator, other than the day we arrived and departed with the luggage, the 5 of us (age 63, 61, our children 34, 31 and 29) always preferred the fun of enjoying to walk up and down the 92 steps; particularly after a nice dinner. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit cold as to enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the Plaza and the mountains; if it were spring or summer we would have spent long hours there... Waking up and having a leisure breakfast in front of the large window and terrace overlooking the Plaza was a fantastic way to start the day. The restaurant below was one of the best we had and at good prices; the owners and staff were incredibly friendly; we spent new year's eve with them. The location was great; just a 3 block walk to most of the landmarks...and yet quiet enough from the bulk of the tourists. Finally, the host was very educated and made our checkin / checkout a breeze. In addition, Pat Byrne was incredibly friendly and efficient and was making sure our reservation, paperwork and itinerary was up to date....Thank you Pat & Madelyne!
"A week at Italy Perfect's Villa Sole was definitely a Perfect family vacation. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. There was plenty of room for our family of twelve, and the accommodations were lovely. The views were magnificent, particularly the sunsets over the Bay of Naples with Capri and Ischia in the distance. There are even lemon trees on the property with an abundance of fruit to admire and possibly pick. We found the area very convenient for our needs. We did rent a car for necessary grocery runs, etc., but the cab service (through Persico) was convenient, and the boat we had prearranged was able to pick us up at the dock at Marina della Lobra, a short, pleasant walk from the Villa. That small port also includes a few restaurants and a convenience story that is amazing -- both for the variety of items they sell and for how helpful the owners/clerks are. They even called a cab for our sons one day! Our greeter, Tina, was helpful and extremely pleasant. She was quick to respond to our questions and requests . The owners were more than accommodating, even stopping by to bring chocolate eggs to our young granddaughter during her birthday celebration. The breakfast and 2 dinners prepared by the in-house chef were delicious with all fresh, local ingredients and baked goods -- definitely a plus with little children. Our experience with Italy Perfect was very positive. Lisa, our salesperson , was responsive and enabled us to get a good sense of the villa. I would, however, suggest that anyone renting for the first time (as I was) carefully read the details on-line about the specific property, as the contracts vary greatly in areas of security deposits, cleaning, washers and dryers, etc. Overall our stay at Villa Sole was a beautiful family escape, and my wish is that we can all return some day. "This was a great location for our family group of 6. The best part was the easy access to the Gelateria dei Neri, best in Florence. The grocery was a few blocks. There were several excellent restaurants in the immediate area, but our favorite was the Acqua al 2 (get the blueberry steak). Florence is very walkable and this apartment was on the edge of the tourist area. It was fun watching the crowds in the Piazza. They were a little noisy at times but the bedrooms are in the back away from the noise. Our greeter was helpful in getting us oriented. She also pointed to a driver who came at 4:30 AM to get us to the airport in Florence for the flight home. [Thank you for your great review! We are glad that you had an amazing stay! "Our family of 4 loved staying in this apartment. There was a lot of space, especially for European accommodations. The location and view is fantastic. We will stay here again. [We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to working with you again! The Italy Perfect Team]
"This 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment south of the Arno is perfectly located for a visit to Florence. It is within walking distance of the Ponte Vecchio and all the hustle and bustle of Florence, yet it is removed enough to provide for quiet evenings and great nights' sleep. The apartment is clean, fully equipped, and large. The staff both locally, the greeter, and the staff in the United States, with whom we booked, were extremely helpful and very accessible. This is a five star accommodation and we will highly recommend it to anyone and everyone we know traveling to Florence. [Thank you for your kind review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to working with you again. The Italy Perfect Team]
"Thinking about booking this apartment? Do it now! Alcove apartment is a very spacious home located overlooking Piazza Santa Croce. The apartment is very accommodating for 6 - 8 guests. Every space is comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linens and pillows are plush. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all amazing, so no one will feel slighted. The one bedroom cannot convert the twin beds to one bed, but the room is still very spacious and the bathroom has a great shower. All of the bedrooms are on the quiet side of the apartment, even though we didn't find the crowds on the Piazza to be noisy at all. The kitchen is very well stocked. The laundry room with separate washer and dryer is a real plus. The location is a good one if you enjoy this side of the river; an easy walk to the train station and all of the Florence attractions. Check in/out was very easy and the utilities were reasonable for our 21 night stay. Some recommendations in/around the Santa Croce area: Boccadama is located on the lower level of the palace and serves very good lasagna and pear ravioli; a great place to crash for dinner at the end of a long day. There is also a Conad (small grocery store chain Corso dei Tintori, 10/R, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy ) around the corner (behind the building) that is not mentioned in the information book; perhaps it's newer. It's a City version, but still good in a pinch. Foody Farm (next to Conad) was really good for a non-Italian meal; the menu was really interesting and the food was delicious (casual night out). The Gallery (2 minute walk) has a great apertivo that starts at 6:30PM. For $10-$12 you get a cocktail and a very good buffet with hot and cold food items. Inferno (Via de' Pepi 9R – Firenze) was excellent and filled with locals. We tried a little of everything. The entrees and salads are not necessarily prepared in a traditional way, but amazing. This is the place to get Seafood. I would recommend Inferno for a nice night out. OK, let's talk gelato. I am by no means an expert, but I have been in Florence nearly a dozen times and I would say, hands down, Dei Neri is the best gelato in Florence (Neri, 9, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy). Good news - it's a really quick walk from the apartment! They have a great yogurt gelato and their ricotta cream with pistachio topping is my favorite! Lisa Byrne is still the best in the business and you will not be disappointed with her service, prices, and accommodations! [Thank you so much for your lovely review and recommendations, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again! The Italy Perfect Team]
"My sister and I recently spent a week in Florence and we LOVED this spacious, light-filled apartment. It's in a perfect location on the quiet side of the Arno where excellent restaurants, lovely shops and peaceful neighborhood streets abound. Yet it's in easy walking distance to just about everything. The views over the Arno, and including the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi, are heavenly and quintessentially Florentine. The apartment is comfortably furnished with high quality furniture, linens and appointments. We really lacked for nothing. Instructions from our greeter were thorough and a written packet with map, directions and suggestions is in the apartment. The building is very secure with a doorman on duty weekdays and is relatively quiet, especially given that this apartment is on the top floor. I have rented apartments in Italy before, but this one is at the top of the list. Highly recommended. [Thank you Deborah, we are happy you enjoyed staying at the Caravella and hope to welcome you again! The Italy Perfect Team]
"We've just returned from a week at Villa Mare and it was heaven. Plenty of room to relax, and a terrific location, perfectly situated between Sorrento and Positano. We rented a car in Sorrento and drove ourselves around locally (we would suggest hiring a driver for Positano or Amalfi. And make sure not to rent a giant passenger van, as it will be too unwieldy for an inexperienced driver on those narrow, winding roads). We toured Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello, did a day trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum (leave early in the morning to avoid gnarly traffic), and took a day trip to Capri. We also spent a day scuba diving with Punta Campanella diving- they're located right in the marina at Marina Lobrano and it was an easy walk. But our favorite days were those we spent down by the beach, walking to Marina Lobrano for dinner (have the gnocci at San Michele) and breakfast (Angelo's is great), and relaxing on the beautiful terrace. Massa Lubrense is a beautiful town and we so enjoyed walking around the square, even going to the grocery store was interesting and fun. The villa was perfect for our family of 6, had everything we needed and more, and we were lulled to sleep each night by the sound of waves right below us. We could not have asked for a better location, or more beautiful sunsets. [Thank you Meredith, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in Caravella in Florence. The location was wonderful. Quiet, beautiful, close to wonderful attractions on each side of the river. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great to cook in and well stocked with anything needed for meal prep. Wonderful views! We would stay there again. [Thank you Barrett, we are pleased you enjoyed staying at the Caravella! The Italy Perfect Team]
"I can't say enough good things about our apartment in Florence, our trip was fabulous and the location of this apartment was ideal. Really one of the best locations and best vacations ever.
"A wonderful time was spent at Villa Sole...truly a perfect location. We, as a large family of ten, could go visit the surrounding areas but always retreat back to our beautiful villa at day's end. It is immaculately cared for by the wonderful caretaker daily and the best meals ever were made for us by the chefs. The owners are wonderful, caring people that take great pride in their beautiful home and are available whenever needed. I can only wish we could have had more time there and would recommend it to any one looking for a place to relax and see the best sunsets possible...right from your own terrace. PS...three great restaurants are within walking distance! [Thank you Judith, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]"
"This was our fourth stay with Italy Perfect and second in Florence. That alone should speak to our satisfaction with our stays. This apartment is great for us but also has a second bedroom and complete second bath. The furnishings were quite nice, the bed we used ( master) was very comfortable. The kitchen was complete and large by most European standards. A dishwasher and washer with dryer built in also were quite nice to have. The building overlooking the Arno, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio were postcard fantasy shots. there is good security with locking doors and a door man during the day. Excellent apartment, excellent location and excellent value. [Thank you so much Jack, we are happy you enjoyed your stay, please come again! The Italy Perfect Team]"
"My wife and I have been to Florence dozens of times. The location of the Alcove apartment at Piazza S. Croce is great. We have stayed in this lovely old building a few times...during the hot summer, so we did not know how it would be in the winter (mid-March). What we found was warm and cozy inside the Alcove and crisp and breezy outside...with much fewer people on the streets, in the piazzas and in even the best restaurants at lunch. This apartment, S. Croce Alcove, is exceptional. Well planned, delightfully furnished rooms with easy access to multiple bathrooms. Everything was immaculate. There is a small private balcony in the rear which I found useful as a get away occasionally. Jean and I have nothing but great things to say about our stay. Dave [Thank you very much Dave for your review, we are pleased that you had a wonderfull stay! The Italy Perfect Team]
"This was our third time staying at this property. We stayed at Villa Mare twice and Villa Sole(upstairs property) once. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful. The house was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The sunsets from our large patio were spectacular! The views of Capri and Ischia were breathtaking. We enjoyed our walks on the beach and to the nearby restaurants at the quaint Marina della Lobra. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We found this to be a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. It was easy enough to drive from here to Sorrento or other towns along the Amalfi coast. Massa Lubrense was a welcome respite from the busy tourist filled areas of other Italian cities. Being able to book the reservation and make payments in American dollars with a reputable person like Pat Byrne was one of the reasons we keep using Italy Perfect! [Thank you Rosanna, we are delighted you had a wonderful time and look forward to welcoming you again! The Italy Perfect Team]"
"We couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Caravella apartment. The view is timeless, across the river to the famous buildings, spires and domes of the city. The furnishings top quality. Apartment in excellent shape. Overall very comfortable. The service of Italy Perfect and the onsite staff, well, perfect!"
"The accommodations were good and in a great location. Easy walking to many places of interest. We were fortunate in that the weekend we were there, there was a concert in the square in front of Santa Croce featuring the world renown tenor Placido Domingo. We got to watch and listen from our apartment balcony. Probably at least ten thousand ticket buyers as we took it all in for free. Great timing.
"When we rented the apartment in Florence we had no idea just how much it would enhance our stay. Each day we returned to our HOME with appetizers in hand. Then we would sit on our private terrace, enjoying wonderful italian cheeses and wine while discussing our day. We were traveling with 2 twenty year olds and had we all returned to separate hotel rooms our experience would not have been shared or enjoyed nearly as much. We will travel this way from now on. [Thank you so much, Mary. Your appetizers on the terrace sound delicious. Nice to enjoy with your 20 year olds rather than be separated. Please come again! The Italy Perfect Team]
"We had a marvelous time staying at Villa Mare. Lisa from Italy Perfect was so helpful and informative. Enjoyed a day trip to Capri. Would love to come back and stay again at Villa Mare."
