Casa San Vito

Casa San Vito

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa San Vito. We chose this villa because of its central location and the fact that it had three bedrooms as we were three couples traveling together. Italy Perfect was very helpful and provided good information for our stay in Italy and at Casa San Vito. Any time I had a question, it was answered promptly. The directions to the villa were helpful but I recommend the use of a GPS when traveling in Italy. We were warmly welcomed by the owners of the property. While Franca and Julio do not speak English, their charming son Francisco did and was always available to answer our questions. We visited the villa during the last of the wine picking and crush and were given a tour of the family winery and even some barrel tasting. The house itself was nicely furnished and very comfortable. It was always nice to come back after a day of exploring to enjoy peaceful evenings in front of the fire. The vistas and surrounding hills are lovely although we wish there had been an upper deck to sit and enjoy the scenery. There is, however, a nice patio with barbecue. We enjoyed reading the guest book and comments there at the property and found that information to be very informative. There were also baskets full of maps, travel books and menus from nearby restaurants for us to use. Curiously not mentioned anywhere was a lovely Fattoria just on down the gravel road, maybe a twenty minute walk from the villa. Fattoria Corzano e Paterno makes cheese and wine and there is a lovely tasting room. The central location of Casa San Vito was wonderful. It was very easy to travel to Florence, Sienna and many other Tuscan towns. It was also just pleasant to stay at the villa and enjoy the beautiful scenery and serenity of the Tuscan hills."

Villa Mare

Villa Mare

"The Villa Mare at San Montano is an amazingly beautiful and tranquil villa situated just outside Sorrento with quaint winding roads leading down to the sea. Waking up every morning to beautiful views of the Med and the Isle of Capri, and ending every evening with splendid sunsets was truly magical. Our hostess, Luciana, and her support staff were friendly and helpful."

"The accommodations were superior - the apartment a total surprise - beautifully decorated - conveniently located in the heart of Santa Croce - yet a peaceful, and most importantly, quiet haven after a day of sightseeing. Viewing the art was, of course, stunning, but so was the food. Would heartily recommend this heavenly oasis to anyone. Italy Perfect did a masterful job of providing information to make the stay in a foreign country easier."

"Our ten days in Florence were made even more wonderful by this amazing jewel of an apartment located in a clean, quiet and safe neighborhood just east of the city hub. Everything, and I really mean everything, was within easy walking distance which enabled us to experience Florence the very best way: on foot. As an added bonus to our daily walk, we were able to amble along beside the beautiful Arno going to and from the apartment. For the day trips we took (to Siena, Lucca, Borgo San Lorenzo and Rome) we were easily able to walk to both the train and bus stations. The apartment itself was immaculate and well furnished, and the greeter was very helpful in getting us oriented. She was also available for questions and suggestions throughout our stay which was a lifesaver when arranging for multiple cabs to the airport on the day of our departure! I will also add that the cost of the apartment was extremely reasonable, and Italy Perfect's prorating policy made planning easy and economical. All of the information that Italy Perfect sent in advance provided us with time-saving knowledge so that our time in Florence was spent doing things we wanted to do, not in trying to figure out how to navigate in a foriegn city. Grazie! The greeter provided us with many suggestions for dining and grocery shopping, so, again, we didn't waste time spinning our wheels. My favorite feature of the apartment: two full bathrooms! For two couples this streamlined our daily schedule immensely. I would highly, and without reservation, recommend the services of Italy Perfect, and will most certainly consider using them again myself when planning another trip abroad. Again, thank you for your professional attention to all the details."

"Our accommodations were outstanding. The landlord lives right across the hall and is very friendly and helpful in so many ways. The apartment is in an excellent and safe neighborhood. It is easy to get to any place of interest on foot. I would highly recommend to future guests the ristorante antico de cambi in Oltrano for the famous bistecca fiorentina. It is within easy walking distance. For a change of pace from wonderful italian food, there is a great japonese-italiano restaurant next to the neighborhood market at the end of Magenta Street. It is named Hoseki. The service of Italy Perfect is excellent; they think of everything that a tourist needs to know."

"My wife Katie and I had the good fortune to stay at the Tesoro apartment, Santa Croce, Florence. We would both like to extend our thanks to you and your staff on making this our first trip to Italy so memorable. The apartment was everything and more that the photographs promised it would be and we cannot recommend it highly enough to anybody who might be considering a similar trip. In particular we would like to express our thanks to Elisabetta who went out of her way to assist us on our arrival."

"I just wanted to follow up and tell you what an amazing visit we had in Florence and how much we enjoyed staying in the Strozzi apartment. Miki and Franco were wonderful and helpful hosts. What a beautiful apartment and what an amazing location! It couldn't have been better. It was also a very nice convenience to have the washing machine. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were probably the best away from home I have ever slept on. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that we loved it and were not ready to leave! When we return to Florence, we will be in touch! Thanks so much. Casa San Vito

Casa San Vito

"Casa San Vito was the upper floor of a two-level building, with the lower level being for storage and possibly winemaking. It was clean, functional, reasonable value, and the lack of air conditioning wasn't a problem as it stayed cool and there was a fan. The location was quite good - a few minutes drive on a paved road from the village of Romita, and only several hundred metres in on a gravel road. The only drawback is that it wasn't designed to enable you to enjoy a view of the vineyards; there is no balcony and the ground level patio is between two adjacent villas. The service from the family and ItalyPerfect was very good.  "

"I wanted to thank you for my Italian holiday, which was indeed perfect. Casa San Vito so lived up to expectations, exactly the degree of comfort and charm that I wished for. The Pesetelli's were, of course, charming and helpful, and oh, the beauty of the countryside! To open the shutters and see that landscape each morning was blissful. You provided an exceptionally thorough and helpful orientation. Quite extraordinary in how comprehensive it was.  I hope that I will be fortunate enough to return and can require your assistance again! "We enjoyed Casa San Vito very much. The house is very comfortable and there were only a few very minor issues to dealt with (the halogen ceiling track lights are too hot for the dimmer and circuitry to handle so they sometimes burned out or went off and on. Francesco, the owner's very helpful son, tried to remedy this problem but the lighting issue has to be retooled to be effective.) The views were unbelievably beautiful. We found this house very comfortable for 4 people and there was even a small extra bedroom for one or two more guests (perhaps children.) All the furniture is fine, not fancy but very adequate. The kitchen was well enough equipped for simple meals. The bed linens were very pleasant(changed weekly)and the bathrooms are more than adequate. The house was spotless. Here are the things to be aware of: The road to the cottage is dirt and rocks so be careful with a low standing vehicle. Your undercarriage will be hit.Often. You need to be prepared to drive quite a ways to the Co-op[grocery store] in San Casciano or Tavernelle. But you will find them to be outstanding supermarkets. We loved the mini mart in nearby La Romita which met many immediate needs. Driving in Tuscany can be hair raising and their poor road signs added to our sometime frustration. A GPS is very helpful. But if you like hair pin turns on mountain roads with gorgeous views you will be in heaven. Italy Perfect was fine to deal with although they really did not give any written instructions about using the television when we wanted occasionally to get the English language news. This would be easy to amend if they chose to improve that services. There are bees and gnats on the patio bring insect repellent. Now that I have listed the problems, let me say that the cheerfulness of the owners made up for some of these deficiencies. They were a wonderful family whom we thoroughly enjoyed. "We had a lovely stay at Casa San Vito. The location proved to be very convenient to Florence, the Chianti region and Sienna. We did a fair amount of cooking at the house, and the kitchen was more than edequate, with plenty of space, cooking utensils and dishes available. The outdoor table and chairs were the perfect setting to enojoy our feasts with wine we had aquired on our daily visits to the surrounding area. One of our favorite activities was a cooking school in Florence and visiting all the various small towns and vineyards in Chianti. Although it was very warm in Italy the week we were there, the temperature at the house was considerably cooler with it's hill top location and breeze. Fans were provided for our bedrooms. Overall, we had a great week and very good experience with Italy Perfect and Casa San Vito. We would definitely use this service again."

"The Strozzi apartment in Florence was a real highlight of our month-long trip through Europe. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. It was a short walk from the train station. But it was also a short walk to everything else in Florence. I was initially concerned that it would be noisy based on the location. But the windows open to the back of the building and it proved to the be the most comfortable and quietest of all our accomodations. In addition to a large bed in the master bedroom, there are two twin beds as part of the fold out sofa for our two children. The kitchen is a little unusual because there is a small stove and sink in a cabinet in the living room and the refrigerator is in the walk-in closet between the master bedroom and bathroom. But we ate most of our meals out and it worked well for the few meals we had at the apartment. Part of the apartment's comfort was the well functioning air conditioning. It worked quiet and effective. I would highly recommend the Strozzi apartment to anyone visiting Florence and I hope we can return soon. Brian Goncher PS we made a great search of the best gelato in Florence. There are lot of great shops to choose from, but we found Perche No! to have the best overall gelato. Have fun with your own search."

"Visiting Tuscany is always a great pleasure but having the opportunity to live in an original farmhouse such as Casa San Vito for a week made the trip to this region truly memorable. The house was charming because it was so well kept, spotless and filled with family heirlooms. One could sense immediately the pride that Francesco, Franca and Julio took in this home. Everything possible was done to make us comfortable and it was marvelous to have so much space. Our trip was enhanced by the personal touches such as gifts of wine from the family winery. The grapes were growing just outside our windows, so we knew exactly where the wine came from! Casa San Vito is central to the Chianti Road, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano and Florence. We had a wonderful time exploring the neighbourhood as well as the countryside and were rewarded with magnificent views of this amazing country. The views for the framhouse were breathtaking. Franca and Francesco were always willing to give directions and advice on where to go and what to see. Their recommendations provided us with opportunities to see and do things we would not have done on our own. We were fortunate to dine at La Tenda Rossa in Cerbaia and the food was extraordinary. A trip to Radda in Chianti and the town of San Casciano is well worth the time. July is very hot in Italy, but despite the heat, Casa San Vito remained very cool and the large windows which provided a cross draft helped to keep us cool! I would recommend Casa San Vito to anyone who wishes to see Tuscany in a very different way; like a local instead of a tourist. I hope to return again in the near future. An amazing holiday!"

"We had a FABULOUS time in Florence (despite the 95 degree heat.....yikes!) and we loved the Strozzi apartment itself as well as the location! Miki and her husband were very nice people and we enjoyed meeting them. We will be sure to spread the word about Italy Perfect and the Strozzi apartment. We loved this place! The location was fabulous, very close/within walking distance to shopping, great restaurants, tourist attractions. The king size bed was quite comfortable. During our visit Florence was in the middle of a heatwave, but we were very comfortable in the air-conditioning of this apartment. We ate at restaurants during our visit, but one could easily make small, basic meals in the kitchenette. Quiet/convenient location. Small but dependable elevator. Would not recommend this place if you're traveling with children."

"Casa Rossa was amazing! The views off the terrace were breathtaking. It was really nice having a home base in the most beautiful part of Tuscany to go home to every night. I highly recommend a GPS, program the address prior to arriving for places like supermarket, gas, tourism spots, etc. Also, make sure you stop by the restaurants in San Casciano. By far the best food we ate was there."

"We stayed in this apartment for six nights at the end of a fourteen night stay throughout Italy. As we were staying in hotels the freedom of the apartment was most welcome. The location within a short walking distance from the main railway station was beneficial as it allowed the opportunity to journey beyond Florence on short day excursions. The location was very convenient to most of the main city attractions and to restaurants and shopping which are just at your doorstep. The service provided on our arrival was both welcoming and informative. The free and unlimited access to the internet was without doubt a bonus. If we had any complaints it was with the cooking facilities and whilst we were warned about this on reading previous comments, we were disappointed that the facility was so limited as one of the reasons for selecting an apartment was to have the facility of eating in on occasions however this would not put us off recommending this property to others. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable end to our holiday."

"I was in Florence for a week by myself and Michaela was perfect for me. I know Florence very well and the location is within walking distance of everything and very close to the main tourist sites. The apartment itself is very quiet and private, the bathroom is clean and modern, free computer access and printing is available, and Miki and Franco couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. I would definitely return to Michaela if I were in Florence again by myself."
