For a rare Venetian experience, Palazzo Tiziano offers the chance to stay in an entirely private 16th-century palazzo in Venice’s coveted San Marco neighborhood. This elegant four-story palazzo exudes history while also boasting every modern convenience for a comfortable stay. The perfect finishing touch is the altana, a traditional Venetian terrace, where you can gaze over the rooftops of Venice. Just beyond the 12th-century bell tower of the San Samuele church you’ll even spot the Grand Canal nearby.

Exterior

The history of Venice is in the very walls of Palazzo Tiziano, a traditional 16th century palazzo that was home to generations of Venetian noblemen. The exterior of this four-story building is graced with historic features like its bifora windows with their double arches and columns dating from the 14th-15th centuries. The entrance to the palazzo is from a quiet residential street and the building features a secured electronic front door lock and video doorbell.

Interior

Step inside the stately entrance lobby where a striking marble floor and antique décor set the tone for an exquisite stay at Palazzo Tiziano. Climb the marble staircase to the second floor where you’ll find a gorgeous kitchen. Smooth modern cabinets and exposed wooden beams lead the eye to the arched bifora window with its historic column. A counter under the window is a lovely spot to start your day in Venice with a homemade cappuccino.

From the kitchen, a doorway opens to the living room, which also features the same striking exposed wooden beams from the 1500s and a welcoming blend of antique and contemporary décor. Light fills this long room from windows on both sides of the palazzo making it a lovely spot for relaxing or dining at home at the stylish Armani dining table.

Follow the steps up to the third floor where you’ll find bedroom 1 with exposed wooden beams, lovely built-in closets and full en suite bathroom. The bedroom 2 is equally charming with its view overlooking the rooftops of Venice. Nearby is a second full bathroom.

The fourth floor features a cozy den with slanted wooden beams. Thanks to the sofa bed and a third full bathroom, you can transform the den into an additional sleeping space. Follow the short staircase up to the wooden roof terrace where you’ll love taking in the panoramic views over Venice.
