Enjoy

A spacious, quality apartment that is wonderful for a family stay in Rome. The location places you within walking distance of most of central Rome.

Location

Piazza del Popolo is nearby, the formal and spectacular entrance to Rome since medieval times. Just beyond are the Borghese Gardens for strolling and the Borghese Gallery museum. The immediate neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, but there are many restaurant choices within a block or two.

Exterior

The building is from the 1800s and is located on a quiet street with some nice architecture.

Interior

Spacious and bright, the Classico apartment combines clean design and complete amenities. The furniture is modern and classic in design. The living room has a sofa and two upholstered arm chairs. A sideboard holds a flat screen television with satellite reception for a few English language channels. A stereo CD player is also on the sideboard. The sofa unfolds to form a queen size sofa bed.

The kitchen is very large, bright and complete. The washer plus dryer is located in the kitchen, a nice feature since clothes dryers are hard to find in Rome vacation rentals. Enjoy preparing meals or serving take out from one of the nearby restaurants.

The master bedroom with Queen sized bed has an en suite bath with shower. Two twin bedrooms have single beds that can be joined. They share a large bathroom off the hallway that contains a Jacuzzi tub and step in shower.

Includes one hour of light housekeeping weekdays, except holidays.

Christmas in Rome Jan 2014

Thank you Italy Perfect for making our family's Christmas in Rome so special! Our greeter Daniella was exceptional! The Classico apartment was great for our family of 6. We appreciated the special touches such as the small Christmas tree & tablecloth. Buon Natale!

We thoroughly enjoyed Classico apt. We had plenty of room and great location. Greeter was very helpful and drivers as well.

Outstanding apartment for a family vacation Aug 2013

Outstanding accommodations - very spacious, very clean, and ideally located for seeing all of the sites of central Rome. While the apartment is located in a relatively quiet side street, due to its proximity to Piazza del Poppolo there were literally dozens of excellent eating options within a few blocks of the apartment. The air conditioners in the living room and each of the bedrooms were a god send given the heat wave while we were there. The pictures on the website are accurate but don't fully convey the amount of space in the apartment. It is on the 4th floor but there was an elevator. The greeter was very helpful and the transport service recommended by Italy Perfect for getting to the apartment from the airport (Marko and Stefano) worked out well - both rearranged their schedules when our flight was delayed by 18 hours and we were very thankful they were there when we finally arrived. We would definitely recommend the Classico for family travel (there were 5 of us with our two teenage children and my wife's father) and would highly recommend Italy Perfect to those contemplating renting an apartment in Rome.

Great stay at Classico apartment Jul 2013

We loved our stay at the Classico apartment. It is classified as "Spanish Steps" but actually it is much closer to Piazzo di Popoli (about two blocks away) while the Spanish steps are more like 4 or 5 "blocks". Nonetheless, we LOVED the location.. close to via del Corso which is closed for several hours a night and which we enjoyed nightly strolls on. Also, in the summer, there was a concert series on the Piazzo di Popoli which was fun. The street, despite its great location, is very quiet and there is virtually no street noise inside the apartment. The apartment is exactly as pictured and actually much more spacious than we had expected. Plenty of room for our family of 6 and the largest apartment we rented on our European tour (we also rented apartments in Paris and London). The information prior to arrival was very in depth and helpful, the greeter was lovely and professional and waiting in the apartment when we arrived from the train station and we also appreciated the nice welcome bottle of wine. All in all, a wonderful experience, and we have already recommended Italy Perfect to a friend traveling with her family to Italy later this summer. Also, we stumbled upon 54, a restaurant on the same block as the apartment. We walked in (not appropriately dressed and we offered to change, but the staff beckoned us to come in as is) and had the best meal we had while in Rome, with fantastic, friendly service. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend!

A great location in a quiet spot, yet close to Piazza del Popolo and transportation. Jun 2013

Our stay at "Classico" was excellent - a great location in a quiet spot, yet close to Piazza del Popolo and transportation. The apartment with three bedrooms was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. There were several great restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store.

Renting through Italy Perfect was perfect and professional. We rented several other apartments in Rome and Florence, and Italy Perfect was by far the best.

We will use them again in Italy and France.

Classico, the "Classic" Roman apartment May 2013

We stayed at the Classico apartment in Rome for three nights. It was a beautiful apartment in a safe, quiet neighborhood. It is very spacious and comfortable. The location is near the Plaza Poppolo and close to the Spanish Steps. This area is desirable, safe and close to the Metro stop, taxi stands and the bus stop. The restaurants suggested by our lovely greeter, Daniela, were delicious and very fun, especially Fraschetteria Brunetti, which is just down the street a few doors from the apartment. The owner and his staff are fun, comical and the food is delicious.....especially the antipasto. It's a must see/eat at restaurant. As well as the suggested restaurant Hostaria al 31 nearby. Shopping near the apartment is fun as these are local shops and you feel like you are among the locals.

I would recommend this apartment for groups of 5 or more. It was very roomy, especially the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bathrooms for 4 people was delightful!

Classico was our third apartment we've rented through Italy Perfect in the last two years of visiting Italy. I would recommend this apartment and any of the apartments listed on Italy Perfect to any friend or family member.

Take note of the suggested driver, Stefano, on the website. If you need to hire him to take you to the apartment from the airport, drive you all the way to Florence or any surrounding city or a day trip of sightseeing outside the city of Rome, he is the person to contact. He is easy to reach by email. He is always on time and reliable. I have hired Stefano on all our trips to Italy and he is always pleasant, timely and VERY reliable. These are very important qualities when traveling abroad.

All in all, Italy Perfect has never let us down. We will always use this site.

Classico apartment was terrific. Apr 2013

Classico apartment was terrific. It was clean and comfy and - best of all - right in the middle of such a vibrant and fun neighborhood!! We walked from the apartment to many wonderful restaurants, pizza places, coffee shops and gelato shops. We were able to walk to many sites from there too! It was also fun just to walk up and down the streets leading into the Piazza del Popolo at night and people watch. It was a truly special vacation to a truly awesome city!

Amy MacIsaac, Bethesda, MD

LOVED IT! Apr 2013

Since moving to Europe we often rent apartments while traveling as a family in other cities. This was, by far, the best experience we had with renting. The website at Italy Perfect was extremely helpful and all the supporting information about the apartment was spelled out for you. Every recommendation they had, including the driver service from the airport, was perfect.

The location of this apartment is off the Piazzo di Popolo and quite central to everything. We ended up walking to most destinations, or an occasional taxi across town to other locations( we had a five year old with us). There is a great mix of restaurants in the immediate area depending on your needs. The apartment itself was large, clean, and comfortable. Great location off the main streets.

We had a wonderful week in Rome and have already recommended this company to our expat friends!

Sarah, American living in Vienna Austria

OK but not great Apr 2013

The apartment is adequate and on a side street in a good location. It is NOISY as Rome us a city that never sleeps! Impossible to get any rest if you leave the windows open.

The showers in the bathroom are pathetic....very small enclosures with no pressure and the temperature control impossible. Beds are relatively comfy.

Kitchen is good and has the basics for preparing simple meals. Lounge is small with poor reading lights. TV service has only BBC world for English speakers. Old stero system . No iPod dock. Given the high cost of a one week rental there could be more amenities

Wireless worked OK.

Apt is on 4th floor - there is a lift but can only hold 3 people at a time. Greater (Danielle) business like - driver Stephano prompt but grumpy.

Note from Italy Perfect: So sorry the differences between this city-center apartment in an centuries-old building and what you are used to weren’t clear. Rome is a bustling city. Guests can close windows and use the electric fans or AC if they find it noisy. The showers are standard Italian sizes that will fit within relatively small bathrooms in city-sized apartments. True, that can be snug for some folks, that is why we provide photos of the showers in the photo tour. Water pressure throughout the historic center can indeed be tricky, ancient Roman aqueducts are still in use. Glad you found the location good, beds comfy, kitchen good, wireless working, and that you were able to watch BBC TV. The description notes that there are only “a few English-language channels". Elevators in old buildings are usually small because they are retrofit inside existing stairwells. The living room [lounge] size is as pictured in the photos and video. I guess it would be hard for you to believe, but for a city-center apartment in Rome, this is large. And, at €50 per person/night, a good value by Rome standards. That’s a thing about travel, you get to experience differences in the way people live in other countries, clearly you are used to large homes. I’m glad the greeter and driver were prompt and businesslike, sorry that they both failed to demonstrate the usual Italian warmth, but timeliness and professionalism are certainly better than neither.

Classico Jan 2013

Great location for seeing Rome, especially if you use the very convenient buses from Piazza del Popolo down towards Piazza Venezia. It's near the underground train too. Really you can walk to most of the central sights from here, but bus is good to save time and energy. We loved the walk over to St Peter's. The Tiber is just a few steps from the end of Via Angelo Brunetti and that gives this area a feeling of tranquillity quite unexpected for somewhere so central. Watch out for the wicked taxi drivers who lie in wait at Piazza del Popolo. We loved our apartment - light and airy and well appointed. Daniella who greeted had lots of good ideas about where to go especially places to eat. No problems while we were there and we felt well looked after and secure. Would definitely recommend Italy Perfect - in fact we have already mentioned it to a few friends. It just helps to know there is someone efficient and helpful at hand if the need arises.

Christmas in Rome Jan 2013

Wonderful apartment in a prime location. We needed accomodations for 6 and Classico was a great choice. The bedrooms are spread out so all have privacy. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom.

The location is excellent. We were close to everything including the metro and taxi stand near Piazzo del Popolo. Don't be afraid to use the metro - use google maps on your phone and you can find your way anywhere you want to go.

The streets were decorated in lights which added Christmas festivity to the atmosphere. Christmas is a fun time to experience Rome. We did a lot semi private tours that we scheduled ahead of time -Christmas day and the day after are National holidays so some things are closed.

The street that this apartment is on is very quiet even though it is in close proximity to everything. The residents in this apartment were also very quiet.

All appliances and fixtures worked well in the apartment. The wooden floors are warm on our feet and the big soaking tub was nice after a full day of walking around the city. There is also an operational elevator to the unit which is nice to come home to after touring.

The unit was clean and sunfilled in the morning. The greeter was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Having a nice place to stay really added to our wonderful vacation in Rome.Italy Perfect provides you with a detailed list of how to check in, who to contact. They supply a mini guide book of the area with restuarants and places to visit.

The owners were easy to work with by email.

I have recommended Italy Perfect to friends and will use them again for future visits.

Classico, Roma, Italy Jan 2013

We were a family of 5 and this apartment was large and perfect. The location, next to the Metro and walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and main shopping street was fantastic. This is a magnificent location for a large group as everyone in the group has freedom to walk anywhere. We had 3 teenagers who were happy to be independent and meander through the streets. The restaurants are amazing and within easy walking distance. We would have no hesitation in recommending Italy Perfect and their fabulous apartment. Stefano who meet us at the airport was truly efficient in getting us to our apartment. Overall our best holiday to date.

Happy Camper Nov 2012

First of all, booking was extremely easy. Pat was very helpful during selection of the apartment. We required two full bathrooms (i.e. toilet and shower in the same room!) Hard to find but Classico met that requirement. Greeter Daniela was extremely helpful upon arrival. Apt was clean and comfortable. Watch your head on low door when entering the kitchen if you are tall. Location is perfect for walking and Taxis right in Piazza del Popolo around corner when needed. Print out the business cards with the Apt address to show cabbies where you want to go.

For a fun lunch when you arrive try Fraschetteria Brunetti about 50 feet from the Classico entrance. Fun, noisy, family style, delicious, inexpensive (relatively). For really delicious lunch if in Trastevere find Le Mani in Pasta. We were the only non-Italian speaking people in the restaurant.

We used recommended car driver from airport and on 2 other mornings to get to guided tours on time. Failed to show the morning we were leaving. Fortunately we got 2 taxis around the corner and made our flights on time.

It was a fantastic Roman holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend Italy Perfect to anyone.

The Classico apartment was wonderful Jul 2012

The Classico apartment was wonderful. The location was excellent; close to the metro, wonderful restaurants, and walking distance to the Spanish Steps. The Leonardo Da Vinci museum was right on the Piazza Del Popolo and a cool thing to visit. Our favorite restaurant was a few doors down (forget the name) and there were many others to choose from.

I really appreciated the advance information Italy Perfect provided on traveling to Italy, from phone usage to things to see and places to eat in major tourist areas! Daniela, our greeter, was friendly and provided great information. We also took advantage of the recommended transit service from the airport, Stefano. Huge, clean van at at very reasonable price.

I would absolutely recommend Italy Perfect and this apartment!

The greeter was friendly, informative, and helpful Nov 2011

Overall, the Classico was a nice rental apartment, and the greeter, Daniela, was friendly, informative, and helpful (molto brava!). The apartment's location, one block from Piazza di Popolo, on a relatively quite street in historic Roma, Via Angelo Brunetti, could not be any better. Although modern, clean and spaceous enough for at least two couples or a family of four, the apartment lacks some charm. You know you're staying at a rental apartment, not someone's home.

There are so many good restaurants nearby that it's hard to pick only one. Of the many, I'd recommend the La Buca di Ripetta, only a block away on Via di Ripetta.

I would recommend this apartment and Italy Perfect.

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay, the location and found the greeter to be helpful and friendly. It is true that this is a dedicated vacation rental without personal items left behind by an owner. In fact, this is something many of our guests specifically request since many find it awkward to encounter someone else's personal belongings, such as knick-knacks on shelves or personal belongings in cupboards and drawers. Thank you so much for your recommendation and your business. Regards, Lisa

We had a lovely time in Rome Jul 2011

We had a lovely time in Rome.  The apartment was larger than expected - perfect for our group of six.  We will happily recommend your agency, and the Classico apartment in particular, to our friends.

Excellent Home Base for Discovering Rome May 2011

We stay in apartments all over the world, and Classico lived up to its description. A great place to experience Rome.

The location is perfect--quiet, but a block away bustling with Italian energy. Also, major sites are walkable.

Living room-bedroom-kitchen are very comfortable and convenient.

Our favorite restaurant was Gusto!

Fantastic Deal Jan 2011

My family and I rented this apartment over Christmas and New Year's, and couldn't have been happier. The apartment is large, spacious, and sunny, and was perfectly comfortable for 5 people. The location was wonderful, and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Tons of wonderful restaurants right in the neighborhood. An amazing deal compared to getting 3 hotel rooms. We loved this apartment. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding Rome Accommodations Nov 2010

We rented the Classico apartment for a week in October 2010, and were very happy with the accommodations! Classico is a three-bedroom apartment, and it worked out perfectly for our traveling group. Although we chose not to cook, Classico has a fully-equipped kitchen for those who may wish to test their culinary skills.

One bedroom is located at one end of the apartment, while two bedrooms are side-by-side at the other end of the apartment. All the bedrooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable.

Classico is in a perfect location! A very short walk from the Piazza Del Popolo and the Flaminio metro stop, but located on a quiet side street with no road noise. Many excellent restaurants are just a short walk away, as is excellent shopping on the Via Del Corso.

The Italy Perfect team provided extensive information about the surrounding area, including the location and hours of grocery markets. Be warned that these markets are not 24-hour, nor are they all open 7 days a week. Plan your grocery shopping accordingly!

Nearby restaurants that we enjoyed include Gusto and Pizza Re. There is also an excellent gelateria (gelato) very close by. There are many great restaurants within walking distance.

Wear comfortable shoes (avoid the white tennis shoes labeling you as a tourist). The cobblestone streets will do a number on your feet and legs if you are not appropriately attired! Cushioned insoles (Dr. Scholls) worked very well for us.

Purchase a Roma Pass online [ http://www.romapass.it/p.aspx?t=index ] before you leave home, and pick it up at the Tourist office at the Rome airport upon your arrival. The pass gives you free metro service for three days, and free admission to two attractions, with discount admissions to other attractions. Additionally, you do not have to wait in a line to buy tickets at the Coliseum! This, in itself, makes the Roma Pass worth the money, believe me.

As a tip – when you use the Roma Pass card to gain entry to the Metro, just place the card on the small reading surface at the turnstile; you don’t insert the card into the card slot.

If you wish to visit the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, purchase your tickets online beforehand! Then, bypass the huge line and enter the portal for advance ticket holders. The line to purchase tickets for the Vatican Museum was easily several blocks long on the day of our visit. We, on the other hand, strolled right in at our appointed time.

If you bank with a larger bank (Bank of America, in our case), you can order foreign currency to be delivered to your home prior to your trip. We did this, and it worked very well for us. If you plan to use an ATM in Italy, be sure to change your PIN to four numeric digits before you leave home. Of course, also inform your bank that you will be in Italy, so that your foreign transactions will be approved.

If you plan to use American credit cards, we have found the Capital One is the only card that does NOT impose a foreign transaction fee on foreign charges. The exchange rates imposed by Capital One are also more favorable than other credit card companies. Again, inform your credit card company of your travel plans. We paid cash for all of our meals, and only used credit cards for large souvenir purchases.

Definitely plan a day trip to Florence via train. Trenitalia allows you to book EuroStar train tickets online, and receive the tickets before you leave home. Be sure that your destination station in Florence is Firenze Santa Maria Novella, as there is another train station in Florence that is not located near the downtown district. Make sure you reserve tickets on the Eurostar, as opposed to the local (much slower) trains. Spend a couple extra Euros and buy seats in first-class.

After you visit the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence to view Michelangelo’s David, be sure to visit the open air marketplace. The leather coats are lovely, and are very reasonably priced. You will see many beautiful items that will never be exported outside of Italy, and your credit cards are readily accepted. Stock up while you’re there!

We used Rosetta Stone to learn some Italian before we left home, but it really wasn’t necessary. Most everyone we encountered spoke English, and were pleased that we tried to communicate in Italian. Most restaurant menus were in Italian and English, so the language barrier was never a problem.

If you are arriving on an early morning flight, you should reserve your apartment starting on the previous day, so that you may proceed directly to your apartment upon your arrival in Rome. If this is not possible due to the apartment booking schedule, we recommend the Hilton hotel at the FCO airport. The hotel is actually connected to the airport, and is an easy walk. We rented rooms for the day, so that we could sleep and clean up before we met our Italy Perfect greeter at the apartment at 1800.

The Italy Perfect staff was very helpful during all phases of our trip, and we are very pleased that we chose the Italy Perfect team to provide our accommodations.

The Classico was lovely...spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Jan 2010

We were in Rome for the Christmas holidays with our 4 adult children, aged 20-26 and stayed in the Classico for 7 nights. The accommodations exceeded our expectations and the photos on the website. The Classico was lovely...spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Perfect for 6 with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Daniela our greeter was kind and very helpful..she even brought over a festive holiday tablecloth for us to use.

The location...minutes form the Piazza Popolo, the metro, Spanish Steps...was ideal. The building was very quiet..we never heard anyone.

We would highly recommend La Buca di Ripetta Trattoria , just around the corner on the Via di Ripetta,36. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner there...delicious food, intimate, with great service !

I've been spreading the word to my friends about "the Classico" and Italy Perfect. We'd love to repeat the experience !

Out of 10 stars, we'd give this apartment a 15! Jan 2010

Our Classico apartment was PERFECT! Clean, spacious, comfortable, everything we needed. Perfectly located near Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps, and also close to a major bus stop. We were close to shopping and restaurants. There's a wonderful restaurant just a few doors down - "59" - right on via Angelo Brunetti, with great service and delicious food. Great area - beautiful building. We would highly recommend it! SO much better than staying in a hotel. It felt like we were coming home every night. Daniela, the greeter, is a lovely person -so welcoming, helpful and accomodating. Out of 10 stars, we'd give this apartment a 15!

You have a believer in the Jordans. Nov 2009

Just returned home from Roma last night. It was great! We have been several times but with our grown daughters it was special. All worked well at the apartment. The greeter pointed out the Fraschettia and Pizza Rey down the street. Both were handy with good fun food. The apartment location worked out well. We were able to walk most times. The welcome wine and water were nice also. You have a believer in the Jordans. Don’t be surprised if you receive additional calls from us and our friends.

Great location! Two short blocks from Piazza de Populo and metro. Spanish steps, Via Condottl, Trevi, Pantheon, all close by. Numerous dining locations of all types and prices. We were walking to most sites since location is so convenient. City tour stop close by for orientation and on/off "taxi" usage. Weather was perfect and the apt. was delightful. It met every expectation. Well maintained and almost home away from home. Highly recommend. Contact staff here and in Roma were most attentive.

The accommodations fit our needs and the location was perfect. Aug 2009

I can’t begin to tell you how enjoyable our stay was. The accommodations fit our needs and the location was perfect. I think that the location was the most desirable. Being close to restaurants and shops and the availability of taxis at the Piazza de Popolo, we could not have asked for a better location. The small restaurant on the street provided us with good company and excellent food. We also enjoyed Le Fric, a restaurant that had the best food in Italy. The apartment was walking distance from all of the sight which in return allowed us to get a better view of Rome. If we came back to Rome we would definitely consider the same accommodations for our trip. Good Times Jun 2009
Enjoyed the apartment and was a good location, near alimentari and taxi stand in Piazza del Popolo. Appreciated Italy Perfect service and all the info that was sent to us prior to our arrival in Italy regarding rentals and services in Italy. Couldn't get wireless internet to work [now fixed] while we were there and the dishwasher didn't work because it blew the circuit breaker. We reset but still didn't work. Had trouble phoning the contact person for the apt [Figuring out international dialing prefixes when phoning from a U.S. cell phone within Italy can be confusing, instructions are included with confirmation - Lisa], but the fault may lie with the old Roman apartments and unreliable wifi in Italy. Otherwise we really appreciated having a washing machine for our laundry and a fantastic, up-to-date kitchen for cooking.

The apartment was, as advertised, great! May 2009
The apartment was, as advertised, great! It was clean and well equipped for our stay. It was very quiet and we rarely saw or heard any neighbors. We had a nice week staying with our two adult children and touring the sites around Rome. The apartment is in an area that has easy access to transportation (bus & subway) and a number of good restaurants within close walking distance. Weather was perfect. Thanks, Jim

Perfect Apartment, Perfect Location Mar 2009
The Classico apartment was exactly what we wanted for our Rome stay. A perfect apartment in a perfect location. Everything was so clean and well maintained. Your website was so accurate, the photos completely represented the apartment so that we knew exactly what to expect. And the neighborhood could not have worked out better for us, we loved it! Thank you also for all the wonderfully detailed materials on Rome. We would recommend Italy Perfect without hesitation.

Can't wait to return! Feb 2009
We are so happy to have found Italy Perfect. My husband, mother, brother-in-law, sister & I spent a glorious week in the Classico apartment. It was the vacation of a lifetime and I'm so glad we chose such an ideal apartment for our stay. The neighborhood was a treasure, all the sites were within walking distance and we felt so special returning "home" each day to the comfortable Classico apartment. Thank you for all the tips too. Everything went so smoothly.
