Villa Poggio

Beautiful views across the Pesa Valley. Villa Poggio, with private pool and grounds, is a former farmhouse located down the road, about 100 yards from Castello Niccolo that manages the property.

The view across the Pesa Valley is quite beautiful and displays many personalities depending on the light and weather. It is surrounding by olive groves as well as vinyards that produce the grapes for the chianti classico wine produced by the property.

Exterior

This is an independent villa with a private pool (15 x 30 feet) and gym that has two apartments that are rented together except in low season. The barn has some table games.

Interior

The feeling in this property is welcoming and warm. Many windows admit natural light in abundance. The furnishings are a mixture of family antiques, oriental carpets together with modern conveniences.

On the main floor there is a spacious living room with a fire place, a separate sitting room, a large kitchen and also a dining room with a table that seats 8. A loggia off of the kitchen invites outdoor dining with a view of the valley. 

The main living room has a double sofa bed. Upstairs are three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a sitting room. 

The villa is great for a gathering of friends and family because the large bedrooms have their own seating area. And there is a sitting area separate from the living room on the ground floor.

On the ground level is a separate apartment with its own large living/dining room and a small kitchen. There are two separate sofa beds here.

There is a gym located on an outbuilding on the property. Mountain bikes available.

Optional cold breakfast buffet available in breakfast room at Castello up the road, reserved the day before, fee applies. Wine tasting, guided tours, a car with driver, baby sitting, cooking classes, a chef and yoga lessons, massages, and facials are also available at the castle.
