Imagine awakening in this riverfront luxury apartment, situated perfectly in the heart of romantic Florence with multiple terraces and expansive views over the Arno all the way to the Duomo.

Location

Stay in a Renaissance palazzo directly across the river from the Uffizi Gallery, Florence`s most famous museum.

Exterior

The building blends with its Renaissance-age neighbors with the grey stone "pietra serena" accenting its classical proportions. The building is locked and has a doorman during business hours.

Interior

The bright and modern Corvetta penthouse apartment offers fine living in an optimum Florence historic center location. The apartment is remarkably bright and airy with two terraces and a viewing perch too.

On entering the apartment walk up a flight of stairs (approximately 10 steps) to the open plan living and dining room. The living room has two sofas and views to the larger of the two terraces through wide sliding glass door. The walled terrace has impressive views of the Florentine hills above, with a glimpse of beautiful San Miniato church at the top of the hill.

Attractive decorative accessories enhance the room. The open modern kitchen adjoins the living-dining room. A French door adjacent to the kitchen leads out to the second smaller terrace. This little terrace opens at the opposite end to the master bedroom. With its top floor position and many windows and delightful outdoor space we found the Corvetta apartment a restful and very sunny retreat in a prime Florence location.

The first bedroom is on one side of the living room. It has attractive original beamed ceilings that add historic character. A wall of sliding glass windows lead out to a little outdoor area with a spiral staircase where you can enjoying fantastic views of Florence. Although there is no place to sit up here it is delightful that the architects figured out a way to provide access to the remarkable views.

On the other side of the living room, thus providing good privacy for two couples, is the second bedroom. A glass door from the bedroom opens to the little terrace that leads to the kitchen. Enjoy some of the best views in Florence from the bedroom`s window, which overlooks the Arno river, Ponte Vecchio and Vasari Corridor which was Lorenzo de` Medici`s private raised walkway from the Pitti Palace to the ruling Medici family`s offices at what is now the Uffizi Museum.

Next to the second bedroom is a study with a single daybed, desk, closet, dresser and a large window which faces the bigger terrace. This makes for a great solution if you are working remotely. Since the bathrooms are ensuite to the other two bedrooms, the guest who sleeps in the study will share one of the en suite bathrooms.
