This bright, welcoming apartment with elevator is by the Ponte Vecchio, the ancient pedestrian bridge that spans the Arno river where you can shop in the stores on the bridge itself. This area is considered the center of Florence being steps from the Uffizi, Piazza Signoria and the Duomo while being at the entrance of the popular Oltrarno area with the Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens and many more wonderful sites. Piazza Santo Spirito nearby hosts a farmer’s market weekday mornings.
Exterior
The large terrace is the most charming feature of the apartment. Large and well maintained, it has well-tended potted plants and a bistro table with two chairs and 2 folding lounge chairs. On sunny days you can extend a canvas awning over most of the length of the terrace. Enjoy the tolling of church bells while you sip your coffee in the morning.
Interior
The open living room, dining area and kitchen are bright with three sets of double glass doors with dual-paned glass for sound control. Comfortable seating and good lighting. Pieces of antique furniture echo history.
The kitchen is modern, small but complete. The dining table can seat 4.
The bedroom is also bright with double glass doors opening onto a “juliet balcony”. Good lighting and a divisible king bed.
