La Foce Vespa was much than we expected.
Enjoy
A stunning, vast estate in the unspolied southeastern Tuscan countryside. Unparalled views and tranquil olive orchards characterize the La Foce estate. The property is large and is comprised of several groupings of villas and apartments spread across over 2000 acres of agricultural land. The main building, where the welcome office is located, was once the private villa of the owners. The formal English-style gardens, that date back to the 1920`s, are a beautiful counterpoint to the open vistas and natural beauty of the magical Mediterranean countryside. This enchanting property is located in the Val d`Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Location
The Val d`Orcia is a special part of Tuscany with picture-postcard views of rolling hills dotted with cypress trees, and famous for its wines and olive oil. The upper areas of the estate are woodlands, the lower are olive orchards and wheat fields. Conveniently located between Florence and Rome it is a reasonable drive from either direction via the A1 highway. Excursions to the well-known medieval towns are easy, whether you enjoy wine-tasting, savoring the riches of Tuscan cuisine, bike riding, hiking, or simply lounging by the pool you can savor the best that Tuscany has to offer. Imagine a leisurely morning over a cup of cappuccino, followed by lunch and wine tasting in Montalcino, a visit to the Etruscan ruins nearby, back for a late afternoon dip in the pool, cocktails at sunset and homemade pizza prepared by the on-site housekeeper (chef services with advance arrangement) or dinner at one of the many country restaurants nearby.
Exterior
This set of apartments is located in handsome stone building a 5- minute drive from the main villa where the welcome office is located. Before becoming a farm building that housed several families that worked on the estate, it was a medieval fortress now converted to six luxury vacation apartments. Each apartment is named after the farming families that once lived there. A central courtyard is planted with a fragrant lime tree, lavender and roses. In the courtyard are several stairways which lead up to the apartments, all located on second floor (first floor European designation). Patio furniture is in the garden during summer months for enjoying meals outdoors. A communal dining room on the ground floor and professional kitchen is available with advance arrangement for cooking classes, large group dinners or meetings (fee applies). Also on the ground floor is a communal office that has a printer, and a self-service laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.

Our Guest Reviews
La Foce Perfect
When it came time to book our Tuscany countryside lodging, I contacted Italy Perfect. I booked a Rome apartment 7 years ago and loved the ease of working with Lisa and team. Like the apartment in Rome, the lodging was amazing. The location is postcard perfect, the host Lorena a doll and the accommodations were clean and roomy for our group of 6. The property is perfect for all ages with a pool that has an incredible view of the rolling hills. Try to be onsite for the most beautiful sunsets. The proximity to every town small and large is manageable. Montepulciano is a must for the scenery, wine and food.
Thanks again Italy Perfect for making the daunting task of finding the perfect lodging so easy.
The apartment was exceptional!
La Foce Vespa was much than we expected. We loved the county side views and the apartment was exceptional. The staff made us feel at home. I highly recommend La Foce Vespa.
[Thank you Paul! The Italy Perfect Team]
Amazing
We (parents and 3 kids, 7-11 years old) had a fantastic trip to Tuscany in July 2016. La Foce was a perfect base for exploring the region, and just as wonderful for relaxing in between adventures. The pool is nicer than the photos suggest, and is set in between a playground area for kids and a panoramic Tuscan countryside vista. Highly recommended for families. Make sure to sign up for the gelato-making class when you arrive.
[Thank you Mark, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]
Italy Perfect deserves that name!
Perfect information, perfect service, perfect vacation!
I have lived in Rome, Italy for two years many years ago and have spent a great deal of time there. I found the Italy Perfect website, knowing exactly what I wanted. Italy Perfect was able to give me a great deal of detailed information about the rental apartment. Their notes prior to our leaving were extremely detailed and helpful. I will certainly return to them in the future. I am completely confident that anyplace rented through Italy Perfect will be...perfect!
One of the most beautiful places ever
We recently stayed at La Foce. Our family of 4 was in Beco and my mother stayed in Tiglio. La Foce is an extraordinary destination, and the apartments there are beautiful. They are located in a historic farmhouse on the estate, and are a lovely combination of old Tuscan feel and modern comforts. Our apartment was very comfortable, with a great kitchen and living areas. We were there in June and even though the weather had been very hot in Rome and Venice, it was so pleasant in the hills at La Foce, and we were amazed to be able to sleep with windows open at night. The estate has stunning views with olive orchards, woods and gardens. When combined with the views of the surrounding landscape – cypress trees, ancient hilltop towns and Monte Amiata in the distance – you feel as if you are in a movie. The staff at La Foce is gracious and welcoming, the food is wonderful, and the garden tour should not be missed. Finally, its location is perfect for day trips to any number of beautiful towns. We highly recommend La Foce for an unforgettable trip.
