It's heaven on earth
A stunning, vast estate in the unspolied southeastern Tuscan countryside. Unparalled views and tranquil olive orchards characterize the La Foce estate. The property is large and is comprised of several groupings of villas and apartments spread across over 2000 acres of agricultural land. The main building, where the welcome office is located, was once the private villa of the owners. The formal English-style gardens, that date back to the 1920`s, are a beautiful counterpoint to the open vistas and natural beauty of the magical Mediterranean countryside. This enchanting property is located in the Val d`Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Val d`Orcia is a special part of Tuscany with picture-postcard views of rolling hills dotted with cypress trees, and famous for its wines and olive oil. The upper areas of the estate are woodlands, the lower are olive orchards and wheat fields. Conveniently located between Florence and Rome it is a reasonable drive from either direction via the A1 highway. Excursions to the well-known medieval towns are easy, whether you enjoy wine-tasting, savoring the riches of Tuscan cuisine, bike riding, hiking, or simply lounging by the pool you can savor the best that Tuscany has to offer. Imagine a leisurely morning over a cup of cappuccino, followed by lunch and wine tasting in Montalcino, a visit to the Etruscan ruins nearby, back for a late afternoon dip in the pool, cocktails at sunset and homemade pizza prepared by the on-site housekeeper (chef services with advance arrangement) or dinner at one of the many country restaurants nearby.
This set of apartments is located in handsome stone building a 5- minute drive from the main villa where the welcome office is located. Before becoming a farm building that housed several families that worked on the estate, it was a medieval fortress now converted to six luxury vacation apartments. Each apartment is named after the farming families that once lived there. A central courtyard is planted with a fragrant lime tree, lavender and roses. In the courtyard are several stairways which lead up to the apartments, all located on second floor (first floor European designation). Patio furniture is in the garden during summer months for enjoying meals outdoors. A communal dining room on the ground floor and professional kitchen is available with advance arrangement for cooking classes, large group dinners or meetings (fee applies). Also on the ground floor is a communal office where the WiFi router is located, and a self-service laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.

Our Guest Reviews
Loved La Foce Tiglio!
Our 1st visit to Tuscany was a dream and a must return to La Foce Tiglio! This amazing stone farmhouse was a true experience of Tuscan life with gorgeous grounds and views. Our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable, well equipped with everything needed when we arrived and for our 3 night stay.....we only wish we had friends with us to enjoy this experience and wished we could have stayed longer. Lorena was most helpful and gracious helping us with directions to wine tasting, beautiful hilltop village exploring, wonderful restaurants and assistance when we most needed help-car trouble!! When in a foreign country for the 1st time, it is reassuring to know that a local is there for you, thank you Lorena! The location of La Foce is convenient to visit the walled hilltop villages, all within 20-60 minutes. Restaurants are 5-10 minutes close by. We enjoyed a true Tuscan homemade dinner, provided by our hosts and felt very welcomed and well taken care of. The vast grounds of La Foce are so relaxing, so beautiful and we look forward in spending a longer stay there next visit. Our visit was beyond our expectations, thank you!
[Thank you Laura and Mark, we are happy you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again! The Italy Perfect Team]
La Foce Perfect
When it came time to book our Tuscany countryside lodging, I contacted Italy Perfect. I booked a Rome apartment 7 years ago and loved the ease of working with Lisa and team. Like the apartment in Rome, the lodging was amazing. The location is postcard perfect, the host Lorena a doll and the accommodations were clean and roomy for our group of 6. The property is perfect for all ages with a pool that has an incredible view of the rolling hills. Try to be onsite for the most beautiful sunsets. The proximity to every town small and large is manageable. Montepulciano is a must for the scenery, wine and food.
Thanks again Italy Perfect for making the daunting task of finding the perfect lodging so easy.
Italy Perfect deserves that name!
Perfect information, perfect service, perfect vacation!
I have lived in Rome, Italy for two years many years ago and have spent a great deal of time there. I found the Italy Perfect website, knowing exactly what I wanted. Italy Perfect was able to give me a great deal of detailed information about the rental apartment. Their notes prior to our leaving were extremely detailed and helpful. I will certainly return to them in the future. I am completely confident that anyplace rented through Italy Perfect will be...perfect!
Heaven on earth
We recently stayed at La Foce. Our family of 4 was in Beco and my mother stayed in Tiglio. La Foce is an extraordinary destination, and the apartments there are beautiful. They are located in a historic farmhouse on the estate, and are a lovely combination of old Tuscan feel and modern comforts. Our apartment was very comfortable, with a great kitchen and living areas. We were there in June and even though the weather had been very hot in Rome and Venice, it was so pleasant in the hills at La Foce, and we were amazed to be able to sleep with windows open at night. The estate has stunning views with olive orchards, woods and gardens. When combined with the views of the surrounding landscape – cypress trees, ancient hilltop towns and Monte Amiata in the distance – you feel as if you are in a movie. The staff at La Foce is gracious and welcoming, the food is wonderful, and the garden tour should not be missed. Finally, its location is perfect for day trips to any number of beautiful towns. We highly recommend La Foce for an unforgettable trip.
