Beautiful place. It's a palace.
Elegant and spacious home in an area in the center of Rome known for fine, eclectic architecture featuring many palazzi of the Art Nouveau style.
This special neighborhood has many attractions. A five minute walk from the monumental Piazza del Popolo, this street is one block from one of the best shopping streets in Rome, Via Cola di Rienzo that also has cafes and restaurants along its length. The neighborhood was developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s with wide, tree-lined streets reminiscent of the boulevards of Paris. Romans and visitors appreciate the proximity to the popular historical center while being able to escape the crowds in the narrow streets. It is five minute walk to the Lepanto subway station.
Set back from the street and screened by a large tree, the building has three apartments. The Elegante apartment is on the 2nd floor European designation (3rd floor North American); the elevator starts one floor up, approximately 20 steps up from the entry level.
Across the street is a hotel, a handy place to pick up tours and taxis, even breakfast in the hotel cafe that has a nice sidewalk presence in warm weather.
The building of the Elegante apartment was annexed to one of the prettiest Art Nouveau buildings 100 years ago, so from the living room and dining room you can see some nice architectural elements of that, original building.
The grand entrance shows many of the fine elements found throughout the apartment, beautiful floors, large windows, good light, fine art, elegant furniture and space.
To the right of the entrance are the public rooms, the large living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room has two areas, a parlor-like entry with chairs, table and tall bureau with a hidden television and the second area has facing sofas and antique side-pieces. Two large windows overlook the neighboring garden. Looking up at the high ceilings, you find artistic plasterwork with many pretty discoveries.
The dining room, also bright from a large window, also has a beautiful, hand-blown Murano glass chandelier and lovely golden Chinese panel. The table seats eight. The apartment is furnished with china of a quality for entertaining.
Across from the dining room is a large, brand new, high quality kitchen. It has a complete set of appliances and cooking equipment. It also contains a washer and a dryer.
Living room and dining room are air conditioned.
On the other side of the entrance is an L-shaped hallway that passes two bedrooms on the right. One has a king sized bed and a small hallway that leads to a single bedroom and bath. The next room on the main hallway is the largest bathroom. Turn right in front of the master bedroom door, the floor turns to warm wood and passes three bedrooms, including the master, on the left and the third bathroom on the right.
The master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the street, screened by a large tree, so you can`t really see the hotel across the street. But to the right you can see some fine Art Nouveau palazzi. The king sized bed is a rarity in Italy. In the two additional bedrooms the two single beds can be combined to form a large bed that is almost the width of a king.
The largest bathroom is across the hall from the master bedroom, it has modern fixtures and a shower over tub. The second bathroom is across the hall from the second and third bedrooms. It has a large step-in shower. Heated towel racks and hairdryers in all bathrooms.
In summary, 2 bedrooms have king sized beds, 2 bedrooms have two singles that may be combined to form, effectively a king sized bed and then 1 single bedroom. Three full bathrooms.
All bedrooms are air conditioned.
Special attention has been paid to beds that have hypoallergenic mattresses and bedding. Quality linens. Blackout curtains allow you to manage jet lag. Paint is organic.

Our Guest Reviews
Glorious Rome, glorious apartment
The apartment was simply lovely, with large sunny rooms, elegantly appointed in a very convenient and beautiful neighborhood. The Italy Perfect contact was gracious, professional and a perfect hostess as she outfitted our kitchen with delicious provisions of wine and fruit as a welcome gift. The space absorbed the company of niece, friends, sister, and cousin very easily. We even had a dinner party with more family, the dining room is lovely and the kitchen worked with cousin and two sous-chef nieces. Recommend to all whom I talk to!

Elegante in Rome
Italy Perfect and Pat were a pleasure to work with. We decided to stay at Elegante in Rome, which is a terrific apartment - well located, beautifully furnished, spacious, spotless, with good air conditioning in all the bedrooms and living room and dining room, modern bathrooms, and just down the block from a terrific Gelateria. What more can you ask? The neighborhood is great, quiet and off the beaten tourist track, but within walking distance of many of the important sites in Rome. There are lots of really good restaurants in the neighborhood, so we were able to walk to all our dinners. Favorite restaurants were La Zanzara, Il Sorpasso and especially Del Frate. Found a couple of good grocery stores nearby as well, though have to admit the apartment was better stocked upon our arrival than any other vacation rental we've used. Thanks, Pat and Italy Perfect!
We shared this large apartment with another couple for a little over a week (most of it under our friend's name). The location is in a quiet and mostly residential part of Rome (see below) yet easily accessible to restaurants, transportation, and a short walk from some of the classic Roman locales. There is an NH hotel across the street. We went to a different restaurant each evening, all within a short walking distance; there are many to choose from with good reviews. We had stayed on that side of the Tevere in the past and encouraged our friends, who were unfamiliar with it. They are now sold on it.
The apartment itself is large and comfortable and could easily accommodate more than our four. The bedrooms are well-sized, air conditioned, and the strong windows provide insulation from any street noise, if necessary. It is also well appointed, with handsome floors, bathroom fixtures and art. The kitchen is fine as well, and has all necessary equipment, dishes, soap, etc. We do not mind stairs, but a renter should be aware that it is much easier to walk up than to use the elevator (which we never figured out, anyway). Similarly it is beneficial to pay in Euros for the apartment whenever possible.

This was a great space for our group of friends. There was more than enough room for us all. The apartment is lovely. The help and information from Italy Perfect was very detailed and helpful. Loved the pesto we found there!
Gorgeous Italian home near Vatican
This home was so beautiful and so well located. We could walk to everything we needed to. Very comfortable beds and great bathrooms. They even stocked us with food!
Apartment is in very good order, neat and clean, nicely decorated, not over refurbished and more than enough space for 8 of us. Great area as to visit the various must sees in Rome. Also a lot of good restaurants, bars, bakeries, grocery stores in walking distance. One of the best gelaterias 5 mins by foot... Last but not least very friendly, flexible and helpful host.
We had six people, two couples, each with a kid. Apt had good space for all of us. Overall layout was good. We had beautiful spring weather so no issues with temps, windows often open. Everything worked well and nicely maintained, bathrooms fine. Water pressure reasonable with plenty of hot water. Washing machine worked well and was used several times. Apt located between the Tiber and Vatican. 5 min walk to Piazza del Popolo. Located in a more quiet residential area although it is directly across from a busy hotel which made for some louder nights with windows open. Nice little cafes, gelato and grocery store 1-2 blocks away. Our greeter was lovely and the basket of goodies and wine appreciated. Enjoyed working with Italy Perfect.

Beautiful, classic, very functional, perfect location, spacious, quiet
2 families stayed for 4 days at New Year. It was very spacious, in a quiet location and perfect location to go and walk over the river into the more touristy areas, as well as next to the Vatican. The contact for the apartment was very helpful, made bookings for us in advance, very quick to respond with a query and excellent English. [Thank you so much for your kind review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and our service. Please remember Perfect Experiences for your next trip. The Italy Perfect Team}
Beautiful apartment in great location
We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment! It was very clean and in a great Location We walked everywhere, even to the Colosseum . We had nine people total and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped-we cooked Christmas dinner and sat all together in the dining room. There was a washer and separate dryer-not a common thing in Italy. Barbara greeted us and was available to help anytime. I will definitely stay here next time and check out the other properties from Italy Perfect.
