Wonderful roof top terrace.
Elegance, taste, amenities and views abound in this five star apartment that is a two minute walk to the Spanish Steps.
We have to use superlatives when it comes to the lovely Angelina apartment. The roof top terrace and balcony allow you to enjoy the timeless views of the Eternal City. Everything has been considered for lifetime memories of Rome.
The Spanish Steps location is so popular because it is very central. The graceful steps and the piazza are beautiful albeit usually bustling with visitors. From this location many of the important sites of Rome are within a 15 minute walking radius. Fine shops and restaurants abound in this district. Transportation is also easy from this home base. This street is closed to all but essential traffic; add the top floor location and street noise is not an issue.
The location is excellent, we used the market down the street several times and we enjoyed our morning cappuccio at the cafe two doors down.
There are many interesting sights in this immediate area that are easy to visit, great for curiosity lovers. Please see the paragraph after the detailed apartment description below.
The handsome marble-lined lobby leads right to a modern elevator that takes you to the top floor. There are no steps to get to the elevator or to the apartment. There is, however, a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop terrace.
Across the large living and dining area of the apartment are three French doors that open onto a full balcony with views of rooftops and the church across the street and you can look down into the street, too.
Lots of sunshine through the many windows, lovely in the morning for breakfast.
The living room is big enough for entertaining. It offers a sofa, a love seat and three arm chairs. The colors are quiet and rich. An oriental carpet echoes the reds in a large antique tapestry framed on the wall. Antique end tables, desk and chairs are upstaged by an impressive art deco cabinet. There are many fine pieces of art to appreciate. A corner cabinet hides a HD television set with USB port that has Satellite reception for English-language news. It also has a multi standard DVD player and a small selection of first-run movies (in Italian, but just put on English sub-titles). The dining table seats four and is just outside the small but complete kitchen. In the kitchen modern cabinetry holds everything you need for cooking and serving. There is a large refrigerator/freezer, drip and Italian coffee makers, microwave, gas stove top and oven.
The linens, dishes, and furniture are all excellent and enhance your stay. The photos on the website exactly represent the property.
The balcony has a table and a series of terra cotta planters all along the outside of the rail. You can enjoy a view of the facade of S. Andrea delle Frate church across the street, the little piazza below with a newsstand and the parade of people traveling to and from Piazza di Spagna.
From the entryway, a narrow, spiral stair case rises sixteen steps to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace has a rush mat cover to reduce the heat of the sun and terra cotta pots with green and flowering plants depending on the season. It is open on three sides, the fourth being painted with a unobtrusive fresco of the Roman skyline. Why focus on the fresco, when the real thing is just beyond? You can see St Peter`s dome, the Pantheon, the presidential palace, and the top of the spires on nearby Trinita di Monti church at the top of the Spanish Steps and more. A cafe table and four chairs are enough for all guests. Also, there is a stone sink and a small refrigerator. Keep your cocktail items where you need them!
There is a divine patio at the top of a spiral staircase, where you will want to have wine in the evening while you enjoy the view of St Peter's and the birds over the skyline, or coffee in the early morning.
The bedroom is well-sized, holding a queen sized bed, night stands, a television set and two closets. There is an en-suite bathroom. Next to the bathroom is a small room with more wonderful views. It houses the washing machine hidden inside a cabinet. It also contains a comfortable chair for a quiet place to read.
The sleeping loft is accessed by a pretty staircase that rises from the living room. There is just room for a French twin bed and cabinet on top of which is another television set. There is room to stand up and walk from one end of the bed to the other (i.e. the loft is larger than the bed itself).
The mater bedroom has an en-suite bathroom that is very nicely done offering a shower, toilet, bidet and a sink in marble.
The apartment was accurately advertised. extremely clean, well furnished and in a "to die for" location. no surprises.
Neighborhood sights and curiosities.Wandering this neighborhood is fun for curiosity seekers, art lovers and people watchers. The "Monster House" at Via Gregoriana 28 has windows and doors that are the mouths of monsters! The Spanish Steps are a great place to linger, appreciate the little art scene at the top, sit on the steps and watch, literally, the world go by. This is "fashion central" for Rome so if you stay a while you will see celebrities (really), gorgeously fashionable people, stunning models and fashion victims of all kinds. The opposite, it seems, is a reminder of mortality at the "Church of the Bones" right off Piazza Barberini where the bones of humble Capuchin monks have been used to decorate the chapels. In Piazza Barberini, find the celebrated Triton Fountain by the master sculptor Bernini and the small jewel of the Fountain of the Bees also by Bernini; the bee was the symbol of the Barberini family. Bernini lived in this neighborhood and the interesting little church of Sant`Andrea delle Fratte holds two Angel sculptures by him that were considered too beautiful for their intended location on the Bridge of Angels in front of Castel Sant`Angelo. The church has further charms: a lovely cloister with orange trees, its own saint and its own miracle. Then, topping the church, you see the exterior walls of the cupola designed by Bernini`s arch-rival Borromini in the baroque style in which the walls undulate like fabric. As you leave the church, look to the right down Via della Mercede to see a nice plaque to Bernini. Buy English-language newspapers from the news kiosk in front of the church. Walk down via della Mercede to find Piazza di San Silvestro a welcoming outdoor "living room". Facing the piazza is the little church of San Silvestro that has the relic of the head of St. John the Baptist; wander into the courtyard for a few minutes to enjoy the collection of ancient Roman artifacts. Fun to watch wedding parties. English Mass on Sundays. Walk one block from Piazza di San Silvestro towards the Via del Corso you can enter the soaring interior of the Galleria Alberto Sordi, a shopping mall in Art Nouveau style built in 1914. Now, this is what a shopping mall should look like! This lovely building faces Piazza Colonna, a monumental piazza that presents the marble column of Marcus Aurelius that has stood here since 193CE. This neighborhood allows you to experience some of the many fascinating layers of history and time that are typical of the Eternal City.

Our Guest Reviews
Between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain is the most convenient place to stay!!! Myself, my mother and my brother very much enjoyed our week long stay! The apartment was just perfect in size, spacious and comfortable. The balcony and rooftop terrace, both with views, were so nice to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee watching the sunrise and an evening glass of wine watching the sunset. We had a fantastic time and we’re so greatful to be able to come back to a comfortable spacious apartment after a busy day of touring the beautiful city of Rome. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Hope to see you again next year!
Perfectly located for Historic Center
This was a last minute booking for us and turned out very well. The corner grocery provided everything we needed for breakfasts and stayed open till 10. We arrived late and they went out of their way to arrange transport from the airport and late check in. That first morning jet lag had us up at 5:30 and it was delightful to see the peach-toned city come to life as the sun rose. Breakfast coffee on the terrace was a wonderful introduction to our stay. Steps from Piazza Dj Spagna, and an easy walk to the Pantheon and Pzza Navona. All in all a great week.
My brother and I spent 5 days in Rome at the Angelina and it couldn’t have been better. The location is amazing. We walked to everything we wanted to see. The apartment is comfortable, clean, and even air conditioned! It has a lovely balcony that we had espresso on every morning. Our driver was at the airport as soon as we arrived and our greeter, who was very sweet and helpful, was at the apartment when we showed up. Everything was smooth and seamless. Highly recommended and would book again in a second. So many great restaurants nearby. Il Giordino at the Hotel Eden, though pricey, was our favourite meal we in Rome. So much so that we went twice. The communication with Italy Perfect was amazing. I would definitely recommend using them no matter what apartment you book.

We stayed at the Angelina and it was perfect. Super clean, tastefully decorated and fantastic location. The balcony was perfect for before dinner drinks and we could pick up our wine and cheese at a grocery store right on our block! We were so grateful for the excellent AC as it turned out Europe was having a heatwave during our vacation!
[We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay despite the heatwave! The Italy Perfect Team]
Another great stay in Rome/Angelina Apartment
This was my 5th time to rent the Angelina - great apartment and location!
Apartment is well kept with lovely furnishings - It also has a washing machine and drying racks on terrace - a real plus! I especailly enjoy the rooftop terrace and also terrace off living area. Greeter/Elvi was at apartment even though I arrived on early morning flight. Near by COOP [supermarket] and restaurants are most convenient.
I would highly recommend Italy Perfect when renting an apartment - they know the properties and are well managed and considerate of your needs.

The place was perfect with all the amenities you would need. Nice touch to start off our visit with coffee, wine and treats until we were able to go shopping. Great location, in the middle of everything. And quiet when the windows were closed. Lovely terrace and comfortable bed
Excellent apartment in the best location in Rome
This is our third apartment with Italy Perfect and as usual it was fabulous! We loved everything about it. So clean and very spacious. Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more. The location by the Spanish Steps is such a great area. Grocery store just around the corner. The street is busy, but very quiet at night. The outdoor space is very nice also. One of our favorite meals was at the restaurant right across the street. We also enjoyed Restaurant Edy. With it being our second time in Rome, we did an Appian Way bike tour with Top Rentals and it was one of our favorite things we did. When we come back to Rome, we hope to stay at Angelina again!

highly recommend Italy Perfect!
Italy Perfect is fantastic -- renting an apartment from them was the best decision of our trip to Rome. I am truly grateful to them! I heartily recommend Italy Perfect to anyone who is considering a trip to Italy.
(1) Truly excellent location. This is hard to know before you visit a city, but once we were in Rome, it became obvious that this property was selected by someone who knows the city block-by-block.
(2) Beautiful, clean and sunny apartment. The apartment was exactly as photographed and described online. It really is that nice. Lovely, private outdoor spaces that you can truly enjoy; quiet interior; well-furnished; easy-to-use clothes washer.
(3) Personal recommendations. Italy Perfect gave us excellent recommendations -- especially a tour guide. She MADE our trip. I can't overstate how much richer our visit to Rome was because of her stories and insight. Italy Perfect also arranged a driver (so thankful I wasn't driving thru that craziness) and had great ideas on making the trip fun and interesting for our kids and practical tips on visiting Rome.
(4) Well-organized. Everything about working with Italy Perfect was well-organized, from my first phone call through the time we left the apartment to return home. Their reservations and instructions for the apartment were all clear and easy and efficient.
I'm not usually a big review-writer. These people are truly exceptional!
[We are glad we could have been of so much service to you and that our recommendations made your trip even more wonderful! The Italy Perfect Team]
Lovely, comfortable apartment with a great location. The restaurant across the street and the one on our side of the street on the corner across from the church served such delicious food we returned to both again and again. On our side of the street to the right as you go out the door was a shop that served the most delicious sandwiches. Easy to walk to all of the sights and shops and we visited nightly the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon as they were so close. The bonus for me was the two Bernini angels in the church the street is named for. The kitchen was small but wonderfully efficient and well furnished, I was grateful our greeter left milk for us so we could immediately settle in with a cup of tea.
[Thank you Gwyn, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]
