"This was our first trip to Italy and this apartment in Florence couldn't have been more perfect. The location is wonderful! The apartment beautiful, sunny and large. Miki and Franco couldn't have been nicer! The location of this apartment is very centrally located, and we walked everywhere we wanted to go. Anything you want to see or buy is right there. We would love to return to this apartment. Our experience with Italy Perfect was outstanding! The service and information Pat and Lisa provide made our trip much easier - thank you so much!!"
"Casetta Bonsi was perfect for our week stay in Florence. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Even though it is cozy for 4, it worked out well. The sleeping option is great - the sofa turns into two separate single beds, easy to arrange, easy to put away. The owner, Maurizio, was extremely gracious and gave us a thorough tour of the house. The welcome gift of wine, fruit, goodies and flowers was greatly appreciated after a day of travel. Their info list has great suggestions. The high-end market is only 5 minutes away. There's an ATM just down the hill. We always ate breakfast at the house and even cooked a few dinners. We found the kitchen fully-stocked and extremely clean. Everything was extremely clean and welcoming. Casetta is up a steep hill - not appropriate for all, but great for keeping down the crowds and for working off the gelato.
The location couldn't be better. We loved wandering the Oltrarno neighborhood. Great sites, craftsmen stores, window shopping with not so many tourists. Fabulous gelato and restaurants near by. We especially enjoyed La Casalinga and Il Cantinone (you need reservations). Golden View Open Bar, just down the hill, is more expensive but has great food, amazing views (reserve a window table for a view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio) and jazz most nights in one of the dining rooms. Don't miss the Brancacci Chapel with Masaccio's frecoes (reservations required). The church is also interesting with fabulous perspective art. We found the Florence Card invaluable to avoid lines and to save money. There's the added benefit that we went into some sites for a quick visit that we would have skipped had they not been free.
Italy Perfect was amazing. Lisa helped me select Casetta and gave me loads of useful suggestions. The materials Italy Perfect sends after you reserve with them are thorough and very practical (using a phone, what to expect).
Casetta Bonsi is a great house in the perfect location. We highly recommend staying in Casetta Bonsi - near all the sites, but in a "real" neighborhood in a real house."
"My wife, Linda, and I had a wonderful stay in Venice and that the Serenata apartment was exactly as you depicted/described it - great location, nice facilities and the Altana - how fun! Paola was friendly, helpful and a real asset to getting us started - she met us (in the rain and windy chill) at the Zacaria stop when we arrived, helped us roll our luggage to the apartment and took time after familiarization to walk us to the grocery store and show us her personal choice for pizza slices - and even shared some stories with us as we walked along - such greeting really helps - please thank her for us.A great time and I will not hesitate to recommend Italy Perfect to friends looking for such lodging choices in Italy."

"Solare is the perfect choice if you want a sunny, beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, comfortable, well equipped accommodation within walking distance of just about everything you want to see and do in Florence. The owner is a wonderfully warm, thorough and extremely helpful woman whose primary concern is that of the comfort of her guests. She welcomed me with a generous gift basket of Tuscan "goodies" which was unexpected and sincerely appreciated. I felt very safe here and loved the sense of being part of the neighborhood - especially visiting the little cafe next door in the morning for cappucino. Yes, the apartment is on the top floor and making it up 4 flights of stairs at the end of a long day can be daunting but the reward at the top is worth the effort! I would recommend Solare to anyone looking for an economical (not to mention spacious and comfortable) alternative to an expensive hotel room. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with me, Chiara. It was, by far, one of the best vacations I've ever had."

"Italy Perfect made planning our trip to Italy much easier! I always got prompt answers to questions, the info sent to us was very helpful and both accommodations worked out great for us! We also stayed in a pensione, a 5 star hotel and a 2 star hotel in various Italian cities. By far our favorite places to stay were the two apts. we rented ; the Strozzi in Florence and the Via Veneto in Rome.Having quiet, peaceful, but pretty, places to stay where we could spread out and relax after long days of walking, eating and sightseeing was great. Having windows you could open at night was wonderful for me. The washer in both places cut down on clothes we needed to bring (leaving much more room in our suitcases for gifts we brought back).I read the other reviews and went to several places they recommended. Our recommendations in Florence include: For dinner: Trattoria Sostanza, Via del Porcellana 25/r, 39-055-212-691. Reservations needed- order the chicken, beef and artichoke omelet. Also Trattoria 4 Leoni, Via del Vellutini 1/r, Piazza della Passera, 39-055-218-562, reservations recommended. Order the gnocchi. Find Grom for gelato and anywhere in Florence for the best cappuccino in the world!"

"We really enjoyed our time in Michaela. We were just so relieved and thankful to come to Michaela with the nice welcome from Franco and Miki, the wine, the water in the refrigerator, the kitchen so useful and efficient. Marco was also so helpful especially as he told us that we could go to the Academia for free on Tuesday nights. So we saw the David that night! We would so highly recommend the studio. If any one ever wants to email a person who stayed in Michaela, you can give them my email address as I would be glad to recommend the place. The extra touches like a hair dryer, some shampoo, soap, bathrobe, even the nice decorations made the place so homey. And since the place in Rome was not as nice, we felt so comfortable in Florence."
"Just wanted you to know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa San Vito the end of May. Francesco and his family are lovely. I also appreciated the help you gave during the process. Everything went exactly as expected."
"Stefano & Marco where great, as well as Gianlucca. Thank you. Collins Family "
"We stayed at the pasquino apartment over the Easter break. We were thrilled with the location. It was an easy walk to anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go, the Vatican, campo dei fiori, piazza navona, Fontana di trevi, just to name a few. We especially loved the wide and great choice of restaurants in our immediate area. Our favourite was ristorante Pasquino. By far, one of the best ice creams we had was at Frigidarium, also, a very short walk from the apartment. Could it have been any more perfect? We miss being at "our apartment" and given the opportunity, we would definitely stay there again.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we love that neighborhood, too. Please come again! The Italy Perfect Team"
"We never got over how wonderful the apartment was--its size, its comfort and its marvelous kitchen. There were no differences in the way it had been pictured and described. The palatial feel of the entryway was a wonderful surprise. The location is absolutely perfect. The Ponte Vecchio is an easy ten minutes away, Santa Maria Novella is 3 minutes in the opposite direction, the Piazza della Repubblica is very close. The position of the apartment with its generous windows looks down upon crossroads that are lively but not intrusive. You get a real feel for the neighborhood. Our hosts had many excellent recommendations for local restaurants and shops. We highly recommend skipping some of the pricey gourmet shops on the Tornabuoni and going to Pegna, a gourmet and everyday grocery store on via dello Studio, 8. We recommend the cashmere shop G. B. Frugone on Via delle Belle Donne, 35, just a few steps from the apartment. We would absolutely recommend this apartment and our gracious hosts. They are wonderful and warm people."
"We stayed in Florence in November 2012, and rented Casseta Bonsi. We arrived by train from Sorrento. We got a cab from the train station, just a short ride to the apartment. The owner was great and showed us around. It was nice to be able to spread out and overall the apartment was quiet, except there were some ladies at an adjacent apartment that were quite loud into the night. But that is not the fault of Casseta Bonsi. There is a sweet little terrace but we spent 95% of our time outside of the apartment we never used it. The shower was a bit tricky, I found myself fiddling with the water temp quite a bit even though we followed the directions of the owner precisely. The owners left us a nice bottle of wine and pastries, as well as flowers in the rooms. Very nice. Dined at a restaurant called Open Bar (right around the corner) and it was delicious. A super short walk to the Ponte Vecchio and over the river to other sights. Would stay in that location again for sure. Italy Perfect was very thorough and helpful with all my questions, I would definitely book with them again."
"The apartment is delightful, well-furnished, clean, tidy and virtually soundproofed. Looking out the window at the gondolas gliding by was perfection for us. We loved the subtle Christmas decorations, including the tiny lighted tree dusted with snow. The kitchen had exactly what we needed for a light supper after a long day and large lunch. Within walking distance is Alle Testiere, superb food (primarily)in an intimate setting. We found a fabulous American guide, 20 year resident of Venice, Michael Broderick (venicescapes.org), whom the LA Times named the best guide in Venice. Rick Steves too. We agree and want to take all of his well-informed and researched tours. We would stay here again in a minute -- Paola was charming, patient, and gave us a great deal of info and confidence in our plans. We recommend you all heartily to all our friends! But, we want first dibs on Serenata! You worked with us beautifully to fashion our spontaneous last-minute trip to Venice for Christmas and New Year. Unforgettable. Thank you so much -- Pat and Doc"
"We found our accomodation in Florence to be of the highest standard. We were met by the oner who was charming and very helpful and surprised us by leaving lots of lovely goodies which we were certainly not expecting. We loved the fact that, being on the top floor we had lovely views over the rooftops to the Tuscan hills. Bear in mind that this is a typical Italian apartment and there is no lift, we are in our mid sixties and pretty fit but if you struggle with stairs then this apartment would not be for you! We liked the location, we were on minutes from the central market where we went to meet up with the locals and to buy some beautiful homemade Italian ready meals. There were also some very good eating places in the market area. We used local transport and the SITA buses to travel around and found it all very easy, most people spoke English and were very eager to help you. We thought the service from Italy Perfect was fantastic, whenever I e-mailed Lisa with a query she would get back to me very quickly with good advice. All in all our holiday was fantastic and we would whole heartedly recommend Italy Perfect."

"The accommodations were amazing. Great location and setting. My brother and I probably enjoyed sightseeing and sleeping in the most (we are university students). As previously stated, the location and neighborhood were wonderful and there were really no problems or drawbacks whatsoever. The landlord/owner was very nice and helpful with all of our questions and had great patience and understanding despite our lack of ability to speak or understand most of the Italian language. Thank you very much."

"This was the perfect apartment for me while I studied Italian in Florence. Loved the location, quiet and cleanliness."
"We just returned home from a fabulous two weeks in Italy. Casa San Vito was perfect. Its location was great for our sightseeing excursions and its ambiance was perfect for the end of the day wind down. The information you provide was extremely helpful. Thanks again for all your help."

"We enjoyed our stay at your property in Rome. The location was ideal. It was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again she we return to Rome. The ONLY thing I would like to see change is the extra cost for electricity. We were out all day most days and only ate dinner in one evening, yet we still exceeded to allotted use of electricity and had to leave money to cover extra use at our departure. The guests before us also incurred extra electricity costs. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Delighted you enjoyed your stay. Sorry it was hot. On balance you did have good air conditioning;-) In the information we provided, there is a long and probably somewhat tedious explanation of utility costs in Italy and how to conserve, for example, by turning off the a/c while you are away. In brief, the cost of electricity is astronomical in Italy so the allowance method helps enlist the guests’ participation in conservation. Italy Perfect."
"We were delighted with the apartment, the location on a darling alley w/all sorts of restaurants, a grocery store and the Piazza right around the corner. We walked everywhere from our home base. Nothing is out of reach by foot from this location. Would recommend it to anyone! Plenty of space for children if you were so inclined."
"Our hosts were wonderful, the location of the apartment perfect. The apartment itself was all that we could hope for. No negatives."
"This was our second stay at the beautiful Casetta and hopefully not our last. We truly feel at home there and this is thanks to the thoughtfulness of Maurizio and Gabrielle, our wonderful hosts who think of all the things required to make a traveller's stay comfortable. Our special treats on arrival were very much appreciated. Casetta Bonsi is also one of the cleanest apartments we have ever stayed in. It is handy to have the kitchen with its many untensils to cook in if the occasion arises, and also the washing machine. There are also many restaurants and cafes to choose from within walking distance, but if you do want to cook there is a supermarket just down the hill with a very wide range including much fresh Tuscan produce. There is also a very good gelataria near the supermarket as well. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and we enjoyed walking to the Bardini & Boboli Gardens, which are just up the hill. There is a little terrace in the Bardini Gardens where you can get a coffee or wine and look out over a terrific view of Florence. We walked everywhere from the Casetta. There is so much to see and do and it is especially rewarding to get out early and investigate the city before it becomes crowded. If you enjoy art, a visit to the Convent of San Marco to see the Fra Angelico paintings was very enjoyable. We got there first thing when it opened and had the place to ourselves for some time. The short bus trip up the hill to Fiesole is also good to do on a clear day. The Santa Croce Basilica is also amazing and the attached leather school interesting to visit. We highly recommend Casetta Bonsi and dream of returning in the future. Thank you also to Italy Perfect for all your valued assistance."
