"My husband and I spent 4 nights in this apartment in April 2018 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We absolutely enjoyed our stay, including the panoramic 360 views from the bedroom, the sunny terrace and convenient location. When we arrived we were greeted by Christiana and she explained everything clearly from how to use the antique elevator, to how to make italian coffee. Very clean and well stocked. The location was great with lots of good restaurants very close by as well as a great grocery and a wine store. We walked everywhere as the Uffizi was just across the river, Pite palace and Boboli gardens was around the corner. Really everything we wanted to do was minutes away, it would be hard to beat this location. The fact that the apartment is across the river meant that it was quieter at night, which we loved. We even walked to the train station twice, once to catch our wine tour bus, and once when we left, pulling our suitcases with us. In the apartment we found a very complete booklet with recommended restaurants, tours and shops. We tried several of the recommended places and were never disappointed and very pleased to be off the touristy choices. We loved that we could do some laundry as we made Florence the middle stop in our Italy tour between Rome and Venice. The bed was super comfy and roomy. We enjoyed relaxing in the little living room in the evenings when we were not on the terrace or eating out. This is an apartment with real character, and not a modern hotel. So, there were some compromises and challenges. We were somewhat surprised by the very narrow staircase up to the bedroom. This made the trip down to the bathroom in the middle of the night bit hairy, but the views offset the inconvenience. The antique elevator was charming but we did have to climb all 4 flights of stairs once when another resident did not properly close all the elevator doors (all 3 doors must be closed to allow operation). The bathroom was tiny and the only place we could plug in the iron was in the bathroom, which slowed us down a bit. We also did get bit by a few mosquitos as we slept with the windows open the first night, after which we used the little plug in mosquito repellers and slept with the air on as it had gotten quite warm. As long as you understand these challenges up front and are comfortable with them, you will love your stay in the Torella apartment. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in Florence!"

"The apartment was perfect for two couples. Each couple had their own separate spaces (both could be closed off completely from the rest of the apartment) which made it seem like there were two apartments in one. It was ideal. The decor felt like we were in the countryside - cozy and welcoming. The location was excellent and we were never 10 minutes away from anything. "We all loved the Elegante apartment. Lovely furniture, artwork, space, and light. Our suggestions for some small improvements - include a few blankets to use on the couch or when the quilts are too warm, provide written instructions for the washer and dryer, and include CNN on all televisions. We very much appreciated the coffee, milk, cookies, and ice cream provided in the kitchen."

"This apartment is a perfect location with beautiful views of Florence, the river and the hills in all directions. We were glad we had the opportunity to stay 4 days with such a perspective on Florence. It is, as described, a cozy apartment. We found it clean and well maintained. The kitchen is minimal, and the lighting in it is poor, so it is not a place to do a lot of cooking. This may not be important to many short-term renters. For us, it would mean we would not try to return for more than a period of a few days. The fabulous bedroom requires the negotiation of a steep flight of narrow stairs, and can be a significant challenge to some people. (Difficult at night as the bathroom is on the main floor.)In summary, we thank you for making this lovely little tower available to us. We think a special note should be made on the website mentioning the potential challenges of both sets of stairs inside the apartment for some guests. [Thank you very much for your comments. So sorry you missed the information and photos in our advertisement that describe and show the small kitchen and the narrow steps to the bedroom. What a memorable & wonderful time had in Roma!! It is our very first visit to this awesome city. Being in this location & the beautiful Pasquino apartment made a big difference!! Such great shops & restaurants...the Frigidarium & the Insalata Ricca are big favorites. Thank you Italy Perfect (Pat & Kelly) for making all the arrangements for us. Thank you Giuseppe for welcoming us!! When we see another opportunity to visit Rome, we would love to stay here again!

"The tower bedroom is a spectacular treat. At night there is a panoramic view of the beautifully illuminated city monuments. The terrace is perfect for wine-o'clock. "Our stay in this apartment was fantastic. Family of 4. Plenty of space to relax when we needed to. Top floor. The location turned out to be fantastic. Somewhat centrally located but just outside the tourist-y core enough to not have to deal with extensive crowds and noise. Felt like we were within a 20 minute walk of everything. The street the apartment is on has numerous restaurants and gelaterias. Also a grocery store that had enough of the basics for us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I found everyone I dealt with Italy Perfect was nice and very helpful. This apartment and the preparation materials that Italy Perfect provided were essential to what ended up being our best family trip ever. I say that truly. "My wife and I have rented numerous properties in Europe on vacation and the Prisco apartment ranks as one of the best. It was spacious, clean, very well equiped and beautifully located. The owners who welcomed us were extremely helpful with recommendations for places to dine nearby and shop for provisions. The bakery, vitually at the front door, was excellent. Overall, a wonderful time. We've rented from Italy Perfect before and will do so again. We have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so. "Our apartment was very comfortable and of a good size. Clean and well maintained. But what stood out the most was the view. We had an incredible view of the entire Santa Croce area and sitting on the patio at night was wonderful. And if you want to be in good shape don't take the small elevator since walking up and down the 4-5 floors offset much of the eating we did. Nice place and great location. "We spent two weeks living in the "little house" on Piazza de Bonsi, and loved every minute of our stay. Maurizio and Gabriella welcomed us warmly, and we happily settled right in. The house goes back many centuries, but it has been nicely renovated and is very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. The living room has a big dining table, and the kitchen is perfectly adequate for cooking if you wish. The neighborhood is lovely, but be prepared to walk up a fairly steep hill (Costa dei Magnoli) when you head home after a day visiting all the sights! The location is great, however, and you can walk to all the main tourist areas easily. The Casetta was always quiet at night, which we loved. You can see the tower of the Signoria from the lovely balcony upstairs. It was too cold for us to use it but we imagine it is heavenly in warmer weather. Our only negative was that the shower never got hot, and vacillated between lukewarm and cold. We never could figure out whether it was just a quirk of the Italian bathroom (which otherwise is wonderful and apparently recently renovated), or if we did something wrong in its use. Other than that, we felt it was a perfect stay and we'd happily go back any time. Recommended sites to visit, in addition to all the "must see" sites of Florence: the nearby church of Santa Felicita with its magnificent Pontormo painting, recently restored; Santa Croce, where Michelangelo and many other Italian greats are buried; the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, full of amazing artworks, Santo Spirito and Santa Maria del Carmine (both nearby), the Bardini gardens, and the Bargello Museum. SO many great restaurants, of course, but we loved the Trattoria Antico Fattore for delicious and authentic Tuscan cuisine. Cafe JR, just opposite the Pitti Palace, makes beautifully "decorated" cappuccinos in the morning. If you are shopping for jewelry, stay off the touristy Ponte Vecchio and head to a little shop on Via Lambertesca, 20/r, very near the bridge--the shop is called Matassini and they are a family-owned, old-world Florentine jeweler with good prices and beautiful jewelry of all kinds! "My wife and I have been to Florence dozens of times. The location of the Alcove apartment at Piazza S. Croce is great. We have stayed in this lovely old building a few times...during the hot summer, so we did not know how it would be in the winter (mid-March). What we found was warm and cozy inside the Alcove and crisp and breezy outside...with much fewer people on the streets, in the piazzas and in even the best restaurants at lunch. This apartment, S. Croce Alcove, is exceptional. Well planned, delightfully furnished rooms with easy access to multiple bathrooms. Everything was immaculate. There is a small private balcony in the rear which I found useful as a get away occasionally. Jean and I have nothing but great things to say about our stay. "My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here with Italy Perfect. Within minutes by foot are all the major sites. Shopping and restaurants all close by. The apartment was surprisingly quiet given the location. Greeters were very helpful and provided all the little things to get us started! "Our flight from London was delayed due to poor weather. Because the delay stretched from an hour to an hour and a half, and finally to two plus hours, we were unable to provide our greeter with much useful information about how late we would be arriving at the flat. But our greeter had been checking on the status of our flight all evening and the flat was warm and inviting when we finally arrived. We appreciated such attention to detail.The flat is large, comfortable, and the owner has clearly taken time and care in decorating it. It is perfectly located—you are close enough to the Spanish steps to benefit from the limit on traffic, but far enough away to feel like you are in a neighborhood. "Centrally located and easy walks to most everything in the city; Vatican, Borghese Gallery, Colossuem, Spanish Steps, Trastevere, Trevi Fountain, and one block off another main shopping street Via Cola di Rienzo. The apartment worked well for our family of 7. We would definitely return. Owner and her staff were great to work with."
