Apartment in Palazzo Santa Croce
My family of 10 stayed in two apartments in this apartment building. One family of 5 stayed in the S. Croce Tosca. There were three bedrooms, a livingroom/diningroom area . two bathrooms, and a very functional kitchen with a long, rustic, dining table for informal dining. The apartment also had a washer and dryer. Very comfortable after staying in hotels in London and Rome.
Visitors should be aware that these apartments are owned by different people, therefore, charges in addition to the rental fee differ. Some will charge for wifi and others will not. You will be charged for utilities, but it was fair.
[All of the apartments in this building are owned by the same family. The guest is referring to apartments elsewhere in Florence where another member of her family stayed and that had wifi included in the price. Italy Perfect]
Since some of the apartments are occupied by permanent residents, the info sheet asks visitors to be considerate. Children need to be reminded to keep their voices down in the stairways and to step lightly in the apartments.
This apartment building is well-situated. There are shops, a market, San Clemente Church [Santa Croce], and outdoor cafes around the palazzo. I appreciated the taxi station a few steps away from the front door. Apartments in the back of the building are quieter because the ones in front face the square. Fun to people watch.
Ideal for families with children at least 10 years old. This is strictly an apartment situation with no concierge, restaurant, etc.
Italy Perfect was most helpful.
The apartment at Santa Croce surpassed our expectations---The square provided a wonderful setting to enjoy the beauty and energy of Florence--the staff in the building provided superior service---The apartment was very comfortable but the elevator was quite small---Having windows above the square provided an outstanding way to see and hear all activity---Having windows look out on the square is a "must."
The location was perfect!
The location was perfect! Central to everything. Great, hip coffe/bar just steps away. The apartment was spacious with air conditioning in every room (a must when it's 95 degrees). Fully serviceable kitchen which we actually used a couple of nights (food stores just a few blocks away). The property manager was very professional, reminding us that utilities were extra (20 euros a day). I wish she had told us that we had to provide our own toilet paper, however! We ate at a couple of restaurants they suggested --one awesome, one terrible. Parking was super easy. The Piazza Santa Croce was having an event durfing our stay so I don't know the normal level of noise. It is a gathering place. Overall, very happy and we would stay there again. The sofa bed was comfortable. The master bedroom was a great size. The other two bedrooms had no exterior windows (the one window opened onto a pipe) but the kids didn't mind. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for 6 people.
Super Apartment Great Location
The whole family was happy and comfy in this apartment.
Everything was enjoyable
Smooth arrival, good instructions made it easy. Apartment was just as pictured, everything was enjoyable. Liked the views of the piazza from the living roo and kitchen windows. Italy Perfect's good information prepared us for the noise from the piazza at night the the master bedroom gets, not a big problem but could be bothersome if you're a light sleeper. Aside from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was very well located.
The apartment was very well located. We appreciated the good location and the useful information provided in advance from Italy Perfect. This was our third trip to Italy and first time booking with Italy Perfect. We will absolutely book with Italy Perfect again based on their good service. Thanks, David.
The most beautiful apartment in the world.
Oh my gosh, the trip was the most beautiful experience we could have asked for. Wonderful!!! Thank you for your services! I would go back tonight if I had the chance. The Medici Apartment in Florence is simply the most beautiful apartment in the world. Perfect for our big group. Stately and palatial, with every accommodation we could want. Huge windows open onto the square where excitement and life take place before your eyes. Felt like living in a Renaissance Palace!!! Renee, who manages the Pallazzo, was so wonderful and kind and warm. We most enjoyed the sights, the activity on the Piazza, the local cafes in the Ambrogio (sp?) neighborhood, the art, the palatial, restful apartment. The art, the art, the art!
Noise was an issue but we got a system down of using the air conditioners and fans at night to drown out the partying on the square. It turned out fine and we got used to the system of windows closed and white noise on. No other drawbacks or problems at all - everything was truly perfect. The noise wouldn't have bothered us if we didn't have to be up in the AM with the kids, if we could have slept late like the locals it would have been fine.
perfect, the perfect location - walked everywhere and best gellati in the world was only two blocks away. the Medici Apartment is right in the middle of things - the ONLY place to stay in Florence is what we all decided. The Ambrogio neighborhood was perfect, very authentic and no tourists, The Standa market was perfect - we went there daily to get food to cook in our apartment every night. We ate out only once and enjoyed great dinners around the huge dining room table. The leather school behind Santa Croce was wonderful!
Tips: Try to live like a local, get off the beaten path, book museum tickets ahead of time from home to avoid lines. Your service was wonderful and thorough and helpful in every way. Seriously.
Miravista was light and lovely
We rented two apartments in Palazzo Santa Croce from July 2nd to the 16th and spent 6 weeks in Italy overall. It was a marvelous trip and we have returned highly recommending staying in apartments to our friends.
We loved and would certainly return to apartments in Florence, particularly Miravista which was light and lovely, and had the wonderful terrace.
Donatello was grand
The Palazzo Santa Croce was the perfect base for our daily wanderings through Florence. Donatello was grand and more than large enough for the four of us.
