We were very happy with this apartment.
As comfortable as an English cottage, but in the heart of the historic center of Florence on the Piazza Santa Croce, this tranquil, quiet retreat will welcome you after your days adventures.
In the annex of a noble palazzo, the Casa Toscana apartment is as comfortable as an English cottage. The furnishings are luxurious and the position within the building, with the living room and twin bedroom facing the quiet inner courtyard, offers a tranquil retreat from the busy city.
Conveniently located in the heart of the historical center of Florence, in Piazza Santa Croce.
17-century building adjacent to Palazzo Antellesi.
On fourth floor (North American designation) of the building adjoining the Palazzo Santa Croce, this elegant apartment has traditional high ceilings and frescoes on the living room walls on either side of the working fireplace.
The apartment faces the internal courrtyard of the palazzo so does not experience the sounds of the piazza but, of course, there are no views of the beautiful piazza, either.

- Lovely apartments. Very comfortable and well appointed.
- We loved observing the daily life of the piazza starting with street cleaners, dog walkers, children going to school, the first tourists all the way till the after dinner strollers.
- One of the lowest spots in the city, note the high water marks on the buildings in the neighborhood -- on the second floor.
- The Santa Croce church with the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and more is worth a day.
- Additional fees for utilities that are charged according to use.
Our Guest Reviews
Wonderful Penthouse at Santa Croce Plaza
While we had high hopes for our family week in Florence with our 3 grown up children; Miravista clearly exceeded our expectations. It was a very comfortable, nicely understated decorated, with good 2 1/2 bathrooms and ample kitchen, sunny penthouse.
While it had a good modern elevator, other than the day we arrived and departed with the luggage, the 5 of us (age 63, 61, our children 34, 31 and 29) always preferred the fun of enjoying to walk up and down the 92 steps; particularly after a nice dinner.
Unfortunately, the weather was a bit cold as to enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the Plaza and the mountains; if it were spring or summer we would have spent long hours there...
Waking up and having a leisure breakfast in front of the large window and terrace overlooking the Plaza was a fantastic way to start the day.
The restaurant below was one of the best we had and at good prices; the owners and staff were incredibly friendly; we spent new year's eve with them.
The location was great; just a 3 block walk to most of the landmarks...and yet quiet enough from the bulk of the tourists.
Finally, the host was very educated and made our checkin / checkout a breeze.
In addition, Pat Byrne was incredibly friendly and efficient and was making sure our reservation, paperwork and itinerary was up to date....Thank you Pat & Madelyne!
Everything was wonderful.

Refuge in a Very Active Area
When we walked into crowded, noisy, Piazza Santa Croce on a warm sunny fall day, the first inclination was to say "Oh, no, we've made a bad choice." for accommodations. To our absolute delight, the apartment we rented did not open over the Piazza and the noise was minimal. The apartment was very well furnished and extremely comfortable. Other than a wonky microwave, things worked well. The only drawbacks were the odd location of a step in the bathroom and the step inside the door, possibly due to renovations and the only way to lay new pipes and wires. The top of the door frame to the kitchen is low, so anyone over 6 feet tall will need to be extra careful not to hit it with his/her head. The staff who welcomed us were helpful and thorough in explaining the instructions relevant to the property. We would definitely look at Italy Perfect for a future trip.

lovely stay at Casa Toscana
This apartment is in a perfect location for exploring Florence. It is spacious, and more than enough space for our family of four. Don't miss the Sant'Ambrogio market for lunch. Thanks to Italy Perfect for a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Toscana. Florence is an ideal base for touring and day trips. We loved the location of the apartment. The Piazza Santa Croce is beautiful and is convenient to everything with all the coffee shops, markets, and restaurants that are near. The apartment is well furnished and had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious.
Italy Perfect was great to deal with. We had to make a couple changes on our reservation and Lisa was very helpful. We would definitely rent from them again.

Great Placs and Location
This apartment has a terrific location and when Toscana and David are joined together it is great, Both these units are well stocked. We used the AC and the extra cost was not more than $45 euros

The location couldn't be better. Plenty of room for all five of us. Plus everyone had there own bath plus air conditioner in all rooms. Host were very accommodating and answered all questions. Only one flaw kitchen needed a few more items (soap for dishes and surfaces). Our six days couldn't have been better.

Our apartment was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and well equipped.
Our apartment was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and well equipped. It was located in a historic palazzo turned into apartments on the Piazza Santa Croce. Our interests were in history, art, and architecture so the location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and even manage one of our party in a wheelchair. There is a "super" market a few blocks away for anything from staples to fine wine. We ate well everyday in a restaurant near our morning excursions, so all over the historic area. Food was great everywhere. Our travel companions are world-class consumers of gelato and give world-class honors to the small gelateria around the corner, facing the convent associated with Santa Croce. The folks at Italy Perfect were very helpful. And, yes, I would certainly seek them out again and recommend them to friends.
We were in Casa Toscana for five nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment was very comfortable, and just as pictured - in fact the space was rather larger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen was very well-equipped with nice quality dishes, appliances and everything we needed to cook a festive Christmas dinner. The beds were comfortable, with nice linens and duvets. There was a large storage unit in the hallway for suitcases and coats. As the windows face into a courtyard, it was very quiet. The location, of course, can’t be beaten, right on Piazza Santa Croce, with an easy walk to all the sights and a score of good restaurants. We’d like to thank Francesca for making check in and check out so easy and for arranging a car to take us back to Bologna airport. The driver, Sergio, was very friendly and efficient. We hope to return and have already recommended the apartment to friends. Thanks also to ItalyPerfect for a smooth booking process. A couple of recommendations - Finisterrae on the other side of the square for breakfast pastries and delicious desserts, and Boccadama, right next to the apartment, for lunch or dinner.
