Rallo was lovely, close to EVERYTHING and very well managed.
The very comfortable, charming and remarkably bright Rallo enjoys large French doors that overlook private gardens just across the narrow street. Centrally located, this is a terrific apartment!
A roomy and bright two bedroom apartment in the center of Florence, ideally suited for two couples or families.
Since the 1300s, before the Renaissance, this neighborhood around Via Tornabuoni has been part of the center of commerce and activity in Florence. Narrow, wandering streets depart from the grid-pattern of the ancient Roman colony a few streets away toward the Duomo, the iconic Cathedral of Florence, city of flowers.
The palazzo, a handsome building from the early 1300s, was built by a Florentine merchant who grew wealthy from the spice trade. It would have housed his offices and, on the upper floors, his family. In the 1800s, many painters` atleliers were established in the building which is probably the reason many of the apartments, Rallo included, have large windows for natural light. The famous painter Ingres once had a studio in this palazzo.
On the traditional "piano nobile" that, in Italian palazzos is where the finest rooms are located. The apartment opens into a small entry vestibule with a small armoire for storing street wear.
The living room is bright and furnished for comfort. A really pleasant feature are the large French doors that overlook attractive private gardens just across the narrow street. Enjoy views of the trees and gardens year-round. A round dining table seats four. There is a sofa and two upholstered armchairs. Another window at the far end of the living room further illuminates the room. The furnishings are old world traditional style. There are handsome herringbone pattern hardwood floors throughout, a feature we don`t typically see in Florence. A bureau in the corner and a flat-screen TV that receives a few English-language news stations are in the corner.
The kitchen is fully-furnished with a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, microwave, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster. The window overlooks the narrow street one floor below.
The master bedroom is entered off the living room. It is quite large and also has nice views of the private gardens across street. A sweet feature is the closed off doorway on the far side of the bedroom, now faux painted with a scenic`view` of the countryside. The dual-queen bed can be prepared together or as two singles. A large built-in closet-cupboard provides ample storage for your clothes. A writing table in the corner is handy if you need a workspace. The adjoining bathroom is older but spacious with tub with shower attachment that can be hooked up high above the tub and a shower curtain to contain the water when showering, a toilet, sink and bidet.
Cross back through the apartment, through the living room, past the kitchen to reach the other bedroom. This is a good layout for two couple since the living room between provides space and privacy. The second bedroom is smaller than the master, with a dual-queen bed that can be made up together or as two single beds. A wall of cupboards-closets in this bedroom too provides lots of storage space. The cupboards are faux painted in an amusing style. The adjoining bathroom has a tub with shower attachment and a curtain, toilet, sink, bidet. This bathroom is also older.
The apartment has an armored door, independent heating, air conditioning, telephone, WiFi and buzzer.

Our Guest Reviews
We could not have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, service and communication with everyone at ItalyPerfect was exceptional. The apartment was ideally located on a very quiet street in an amazing neighborhood. The home was spacious, extremely clean, and the ideal place for my family of four. I highly recommend it and hope to go back again soon.

Florence should always be a Yes!
My husband & I stayed at the Rallo apartment with another couple. This was our second time in Florence and I wanted to be more centrally located than our prior stay in Santa Crocé. This was definitely a great option. Each couple had their own master suite and the kitchen and living area was quite large for an Italian apartment . The apartment had everything we needed and was in a great location to be able to walk wherever we wanted to go. I would never stay in a small hotel room when you have the option to stay in a spacious apartment.

Great apartment in Florence
This is a very comfortable, well located apartment in Florence, plenty of privacy for 4 people. Definitely recommend!

Florence - a great beginning!
What a wonderful way to begin our two weeks in Italy - we spent our first three nights at "Rallo". Although the bathrooms are a bit out-of-date, the rest of the accommodations were nice and very comfortable for our stay. I would caution, though, about the noise in the secondary bedroom. Even with all windows closed, it was far too noisy for a good night's sleep. On our third night, we moved one of the mattresses from the "noisy" room to the floor of the Master bedroom - nice and quiet in there, but a bit crowded for three people! And please know that the mattresses in both rooms are not as soft/plush as what we're used to in the states and these where a bit more austere than most!
The location was wonderful and we were within walking distance of everything - never a need for transportation and a great way to walk off all the calories we were consuming (which were many - who says pasta's not for lunch AND dinner?). We highly recommend "Walks of Italy" for touring. Much smaller groups than most tour companies, lots of options to choose from, wonderful guides. Go early - avoid the crowds, which were considerable later in the day!
Italy Perfect was wonderful to work with - thank you for helping to make our trip memorable!

Love Rallo - the second time around!
We stayed in Rallo two years ago and when we decided to return to Florence, we were adamant about staying there again. The apartment is lovely and in a perfect location to walk to all the major sites. The apartment is well-appointed, clean and charming. You do have to be willing to deal with some noise, especially on weekend nights, but it is worth it to be so central in the city.
The local hosts were very pleasant and willing to help in any way. We were a little cold this year, and Christiana offered to bring us some space heaters.
Rallo is convenient, comfortable (we are a family of four) and a pleasant place to enjoy the beauty and art of Florence.
Lovely and quiet
The unit has been lovely and quiet. Thank you again for all your help. For me Florence has been amazing.
Just a quick note to say thanks so much. The apt was great and worked out really well - was super cute and the location was ideal. Was happy to have AC as it was hot in Florence. I am thrilled to have learned about your company and will use and recommend you again.
Ciao for now
We had a wonderful stay in Florence at Rallo. The apartment is well appointed and in a safe neighborhood, which made for a relaxing stay. We loved opening the large windows at the end of the day, and sitting in the comfortable living room. Both bedrooms have plenty of room, and are filled with antiques and comfortable beds. Two large bathrooms felt luxurious compared to staying in a small hotel room! The neighborhood was easily accessible and close to wonderful restaurants. Our favorite morning (and evening!) coffee bar was right around the corner--Cafe Giacosa; my husband delighted in discovering that it was the birthplace of the Negroni cocktail! We highly recommend Rallo, and we hope to stay there again!

Rallo was lovely, close to EVERYTHING and very well managed
Just a note to say that we had another great experience with an Italy Perfect apartment.
Rallo was lovely, close to EVERYTHING and very well managed.
Christiana [concierge service] was right there when we arrived and we had several occasions to use their services:
we had them print tickets for the Uffizi for us and we also took a car tour of the Chianti region.
This was done very last minute and we really appreciated that she could put something together
I want to thank you for the nice job you do on the written material you provide for each apartment.
I read in your narrative about the Officina Profuma on Via La Scalla and we went, never realizing
what an incredible place it would be!! Even my husband and son were impressed with the
architecture and grandeur of it all.
So, another great trip (even though Florence was terribly crowded) full of good food, wine and
fun with our children.
