It was a perfect choice -- an excellent and safe location, very comfortable and fully equipped.
A charming nest in the middle of Florence, this lofted studio has high ceilings and a gracious, comfortable living room with a gorgeous fresco reminding you that you are in the City of Art!
Since the 1300s, before the Renaissance, this neighborhood around Via Tornabuoni has been part of the center of commerce and activity in Florence. Narrow, wandering streets depart from the grid-pattern of the ancient Roman colony a few streets away toward the Duomo, the iconic Cathedral of Florence, city of flowers.
The palazzo, a handsome building from the early 1300s, was built by a Florentine merchant who grew wealthy from the spice trade. It would have housed his offices and, on the upper floors, his family. In the 1800s, many painters` atleliers were established in the building which is probably the reason many of the apartments, Nido included, have large windows for natural light. The famous painter Ingres once had a studio here.
As you enter the vestibule of the apartment, you are drawn into the living room with its large windows that fill the apartment with light. The windows overlook the neighboring buildings with the the sky above.
Feel at home with the large, three cushion sofa that pulls out into a double bed and two armchairs all elegantly furnished in cream, which beautifully contrasts the rich brown of the parquet flooring. Reminding you that you are in the city of art, a very pretty fresco represents a loggia with arches, which looks out onto an imaginary garden. Birds sit in the branches of the trees.
There is a round dining table and a spacious cupboard. A set of decorated sliding door conceals the kitchenette which is fully equipped.
The apartment has an armored door, independent heating, air conditioning, satellite TV and telephone (hi speed internet) and buzzer, electric-stove, oven, fridge and a washing machine and comes supplied with two complete sets of linen.

A wooden staircase leads up to the balcony-bedroom with its prints on the walls and elegant furniture. Exposed sections of the medieval stone structure of the building remind you of the more than 700 years of history of this place in Florence. At the end of the balcony, a mirrored door leads into the spacious wardrobe. The bed is a dual-king, it can be prepared as two singles on request.
A recess off the living room leads off to the bathroom (with shower), on the left and to a laundry-room on the right.

Nido Loft Apartment
The apartment is beautiful and is in a great location! The apartment is well maintained and equipped. We loved the central location and quiet setting. For a short stay for two people, this apartment is ideal! Our greeter Christina was great and welcoming and informative! Pat from Italy Perfect called us a few days before to be sure we were all set for our arrival! We will definitely recommend Italy Perfect to our friends and are looking forward to returning to Florence in the future! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We've recently returned from a week's stay in the Nido apartment in Florence and had a wonderful time. The apartment is extremely well located in the city center and convenient all of the sights. It's only a 5 minute walk to the station, but is quiet and feels quite safe tucked away on a small street without too much foot traffic. We were able to enjoy several day trips around the area by taking the train from SMN and one day we rented a car from an agency located just behind the St Regis Hotel - a quick walk from the apartment.
As far as the apartment itself, we found it very comfortable and even without a full kitchen, there was more than enough for us to prepare breakfast before heading out or an aperitivo in the evenings before dinner. There's a new Pam City Market just around the corner, and while we wouldn't recommend it for real grocery shopping it's definitely adequate for picking up some water or the basics. The shower in the bathroom was pretty narrow but the water pressure was excellent so we really didn't mind. Our only issue was due to the extreme heat in the city (33-35C) the air conditioning was inadequate to reach the loft sleeping area. The main floor of the apartment was quite cool and if we wanted, we could have slept on the pullout sofa comfortably. However, as soon as we contacted the team from Italy Perfect a fan was brought over to help circulate the air up the the loft. This is one of the things we love about renting through IP as opposed to one of those other apartment rental agencies - they never fail to resolve any issue quickly and efficiently. All things considered, we highly recommend the Nido Apartment and know we will return again.

Review for the Nido apartment in Florence.
We stayed at the Nido loft apartment in Florence for 6 nights. The apartment was very spacious, open and airy. It had a small kitchen and a very good size bathroom. The furnishings were nice clean and comfortable. As far as the location, it was in the center of the city. All historic sites, shopping and restaurants were within walking distance. The service also was great. In addition to the staff in Florence, we particularly enjoyed working with Pat at Italy Perfect. She always took our phone calls, even when we called her from Italy and she answered all of our questions. We would strongly recommend Italy Perfect and staying in this apartment.

A Phenomenal Little Gem in the Center of Florence
I was very blessed to find Italy Perfect to assist with my eight week stay in Florence. As a single visitor looking for a comfortable studio with full amenities (including air conditioning, gloriously fast wifi, hot water, washing machine, and optimal location), I could not have been more lucky with my apartment.
It is perfect for one-two people (any more and it might be more cramped, although the sofa does pull out into an additional bed!). While it has all of the excellent amenities above, it truly shines because of its location. The property is a five minute walk from the Duomo, ten minutes from the Palazzo and Ponte Vecchio and the Ufizi, near a convenient bridge to Altruano on the other side of the Arno, and twelve minutes from Piazza San Marco, five minutes from the SMN train station, directly behind Plaza de La Republica and the Palazzo Strozzi. You cannot find a safer, more convenient neighborhood replete with grocery stores and clothing shops alike. It is a high rent district frequented by tourists, but the vibrance and noise at night is comforting and inviting rather than distracting.
The property also shines because of Laura and her dedicated administrative team. She was the perfect landlady who was very reasonable with pricing and calculated all of her utility costs with me to make sure I understood each charge before moving to the next. Whenever I made a request of her, she fulfilled it within 24 hours, and was always accessible by email and phone. I could not have had a more delightful experience, and even though the rent is comparatively expensive, pay knowing that you get your full money's worth and that all amenities will be handled professionally, efficiently, and fairly without any stress or fuss.
Lovely and quiet
The unit has been lovely and quiet. Thank you again for all your help. For me Florence has been amazing.
Just a quick note to say thanks so much. The apt was great and worked out really well - was super cute and the location was ideal. Was happy to have AC as it was hot in Florence. I am thrilled to have learned about your company and will use and recommend you again.
Ciao for now
Loved it but fix the internet which is very very slow at times. They need more bandwidth. The location is wonderful, we were only blocks from everything we did. We did day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Senna, Volterra and Cinue terra so we were only minutes from the train station.
Thank you for your attention to detail!
I have already told as many friends as possible how wonderful our Italy Perfect holiday was in every way! Thank you for your attention to detail! We loved your restaurant recomendations both in Florence and Rome!
An Exceptional Experience
My husband and I stayed at the Nido apartment for a month in Sept/Oct 2013. It was a perfect choice -- an excellent and safe location, very comfortable and fully equipped. It's a small apartment but it never felt cramped because it has such high ceilings and great light. Noise was a rare distraction. Our stay got off on a positive note when we met Cristiana, our greeter, who was fully prepared with accurate paperwork and full explanations about the apartment. Over the course of our stay, she was most responsive to all of our questions. This was impressive since we had heard horror stories from multiple friends who had rented through other agents and received poor levels of service. In fact, even in the early planning stages of our trip, the folks at Italy Perfect always responded quickly and thoroughly to my questions. There are 3 trattorias within the block of the apartment. Our favorite was Trattoria Marione. Other terrific restaurants included Da Sergio (Oltrarno) and Trattoria Antico Fattore on via Lambertesca. And if you like opera or classical music, don't miss St. Mark's English Church on via Maggio -- wonderful performances in an intimate setting. We highly recommend Italy Perfect (and have already encouraged two friends to check the site out). We look forward to returning to Italy soon and, without question, would rent through Italy Perfect. They are real pros. I really miss Florence and know that this apartment was an important part of my overall love affair with the city.
