Beautiful Views of the Treasures of Florence
- Name: Diana
- Sleeps: 2
- Bedrooms: 1
- Bathrooms: 2
- Price: SALE €2770/week, 3 nights minimum
My husband and I stayed in the Diana for one week and considered never leaving.
The wow factor is high at Diana with especially spacious, luminous and very lovely interiors and incredible views of the Duomo and San Gaetano church that you will remember for a lifetime.
Experience living in a true palace and walking to all the sights in this city treasured for its art. This apartment is especially large and luminous with comfortable and gracious living room with a view of the Duomo that you will remember for a lifetime.
If you are a larger party, there are several vacation rental apartments within this same building.
The location is excellent, right on Piazza Antinori. There is bound to be some traffic noise in this bustling district, but your 5th floor location will mitigate that. And, after all, you are in a city. This also means that there is a shop for each and everything you need or want in the neighborhood. This quarter of Florence has been home to important Florentine families since the mid 1600s.
The building has retained a clean and simple aspect that is reminiscent of the Renaissance period when it was first built. Renovated over the centuries, the building acquired its present appearance in the mid 1700s.
High in the Palazzo , on the fifth floor (American designation), the Diana apartment is bright and spacious. The foyer is large and even has a window. A gold with blue theme carries through from the foyer to the very large living room that has two windows with views of the dome of the cathedral of Florence as well as of Giotto`s beautiful bell tower. In the foreground is the fascinating facade of San Gaetano the only baroque church in Florence, allowing you to appreciate, up close, the many decorative and architectural elements that typify that architectural style.
Two large sofas and an upholstered armchair accommodate guests. Antique prints are hung on the walls and the fireplace is a focal point although it no longer works. An antique porcelain heating stove is another pretty decorative element.
The kitchen is small but fully equipped. A breakfast bar runs under the window and has it`s own private view of the details of the facade of San Gaetano.
There is a washer and dryer in a closet off the entry foyer.
Pause at the window to marvel at the view of the dome of the cathedral that has stood proudly over Florence since 1445 when this small city thrived as a republic governed by its merchants. The aroma of fresh espresso coffee beckons you into the kitchen where your wonderful mate is laying out fresh cornetti (croissants) from an early trip to the nearby bakery. Shall we climb the dome this morning? Or shall we stroll through the Boboli gardens and find that dwarf on a turtle?

Our Guest Reviews
It really was great!
The Diana Apartment was a highlight! Thank you for your great work!
Perfect spot in Center of town
We stayed here for a month in October 2018. The immense living room is great for hanging out and watching Sat and local TV. Hint: bring your Amazon fire stick - the internet is fast enough to support it and you can just plug it in the TV.
The bathrooms are very well set up. A large walk in shower in the ensuite for the MBR. The other bathroom has a tub shower. The bedding is excellent.
The kitchen is a bit small but worked out just fine for us. The only negative thing is that there's really no place to put any groceries as all of the cabinets and drawers are full. This is a common thing in these sort of apartments - you just have to move stuff around a bit to free up some space.
The staff in the building is excellent, from the doorman to the cleaning staff. One advantage of this building is that the management company office is on a lower floor of the building.
The street is full of high-end stores (in case you have a need for some expensive items from Hermes their store is right outside) and is essentially closed off to traffic almost all the time by virtue of a bollard that pops up. However the nearby intersection is a popular short-cut for buses etc so that's a noise source. So as the description says, it sometimes noisy outside - Friday and Saturday nights were generally noisier late into the evening and buskers (some quite good) often set up on those nights on the steps of the church across the street. But these are things you'll find pretty much anywhere in the Centro Storico (Central historic district).
So all in all we'd stay here again and probably will do so in 2019.

The apartment was even nicer that it looked in the photos
Such a great apartment, great location in the midst of the historic center of Florence. Convenient to everything you might want to visit - Duomo, Uffizi, Accademia, shopping, Mercado, restaurants - all within easy walking distance. The apartment was even nicer that it looked in the photos - extremely spacious, very comfortable, perfect for two people who want a little extra room to spread out. The amenities were very thoughtful, with a few extra touches like a bottle of Prosecco in the refrigerator for our first night! We enjoyed being greeted each day with a big smile, by Massimo, our doorman.
We would definitely return here again!

We've found the "perfect" in Italy Perfect
This was our fourth time staying with Italy Perfect and our first time at the Diana Apartment. I simply can't say enough about what a fantastic apartment this was for the two of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and felt at home in this spectacular apartment. The location is so convenient to everything in Florence - we walked everywhere, even to San Miniato al Monte for a magnificent sunset. We loved the view of the Duomo from the bedroom and living room windows - it was like our own art installation! We didn't experience any issues with noise from the street, but February was a pretty quiet time in the city in general. One afternoon there was a violinist playing in the piazza, but the sound was muted and actually quite pleasant. The doorman was a pleasure, with his smiling face ready to greet us whenever we ventured out during the day and helping us with pre-arranged deliveries. The only negative would be if you're looking for a true dining area as the kitchen is tiny and there's a table placed awkwardly in the living room. However, this was not an issue for us as we enjoyed breakfast or a snack at the kitchen counter on stools overlooking the beautiful San Gaetano church. The kitchen was just fine for making coffee and prepping simple meals and was well stocked with pots and kitchen gadgets. The comfortable bed, sofas made for lounging and 2 well appointed bathrooms left us wanting for nothing. We are definitely looking forward to our next trip to Florence and to returning to the Diana Apartment!

Apartment with stunning views and great amenities
The Diana is a terrific apartment with lots to offer. One, location. It is right on the main shopping street of Florence and since part of the time there is no traffic allowed, it's a great quiet location. Two, the view. Anytime you can see the view of the Duomo out of all of your windows, it is a win. The minute we walked in the door, we knew we picked the right place. Our hosts were gracious, nearby and explained everything thoroughly as well as leaving us a guide to everything. There is a doorman during the day which is a nice perk if you need someone to call a cab, etc. The apt. itself was very comfortable with 2 bathrooms, a huge living space and a decent kitchen. It is large for a one bedroom but it does have a pull out couch in the living room if you need it.
The heating was easy to adjust and understand - which says a lot since we have struggled in the past with cold apartments. We loved working with Italy Perfect as well - it is our third or fourth apt. with them.

This place was absolutely perfect! So spacious and beautiful. The views out the windows were spectacular. At night, a couple of different times, women were playing the violin on the steps of the chapel below. We opened up the windows as the beautiful music floated through the air. The location was absolutely perfect to walk everywhere. We would most definitely want to stay at this beautiful apartment again!

Diana Apartment, Florence Italy - a real gem!
My husband and I rented the Diana apartment for 16 days in September for a fabulous trip to Florence for our 25th anniversary. The Diana is located in the historic center, walking distance to everything including nearby grocery stores. The street was particularly quiet as it had been blocked to thru traffic. The concierge was incredibly kind and helpful in finding us a priest to perform a wedding vow renewal to make the trip a complete success.
The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable - perfect for such a lengthy stay. The views of the Duomo and San Gaetano church were incredible. The kitchen worked well for cooking light meals. In fact, it was so well stocked, we hardly ate out. The greeter and staff were always available and ready to help. We had one issue at night where the outside door would not unlock via the automatic key entry, but we were able to get our greeter on the phone immediately and use the other manual key they had provided. That was the extent of any problems. Everything else went smoothly. Staying at Diana was truly like living as a local in Florence. It was beautiful. We were sad to leave.
We particularly loved the location and the spaciousness of the apartment. The air conditioner worked well as it was very hot in Italy when we were there. The location was superb. The Diana is in a building with a doorman during the day. This was a real bonus. Having someone to ask questions and having the extra layer of security was something we really enjoyed.
Staying at the Diana apartment was a pleasure. I would stay in the Diana again without a doubt. This is our second time booking with Italy Perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The last time we were at the Prisco apartment and that was fabulous too. We ended up at the Diana because the Prisco wasn't available this time around and it turned out even better. Italy Perfect is definitely my first choice for luxury rentals in Florence. We'll be back! Thank you, Lisa!
A beautiful stay!
Our apartment in Florence was wonderful. It had 2 on suites and was very accommodating,
We especially loved the location of the apartment!
All was great!
Rooms with a view!
This is a fabulous place to stay in Florence!! I want to go back already! Fifth floor, excellent views of the Duomo and city.
Location is within walking distance to everything. Staying on the "Rodeo Drive" of Florence was comfortable and glamorous and active enough so that you feel part of the city without too much disturbance. Easy grocery not too far walking....everything easy. The apartment itself was well appointed, comfortable and roomy. Loved the large windows and light.
Only down side was the outside spotlight like fixture that was right outside of the windows and not quite eliminated by the curtains at night.
I had a great stay.....everyone affiliated with this apartment was polite, helpful, timely and I definitely would recommend this accommodation and Italy Perfect.
[Thank you so much! Sorry to hear about the spotlight, wish you had mentioned to the manager to have it immediately fixed. The Italy Perfect Team]
Wonderful apartment and location
This apartment was perfectly located: a quiet area very close to all the main attractions. The apartment was very spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious (the master bath is really nice) and the amount of storage in each room was beyond what we usually expect. The kitchen was large and well appointed - certainly could have cooked large meals in there (but with the Mercato Centrale just a few blocks away, you could just pick up great meals to enjoy in the apartment). Massimiliano (the doorman) was gracious and warm, the building was extremely secure, and it was a pleasure to be greeted by the peace of Piazza Antinori (not to mention the great coffee shop a block away) each morning. We would recommend this apartment (and return) in a heartbeat.
