The view was so nice, you could relax in the living room or study & look over the river.
Overlooking the Arno river, Amerigo’s Vista glows with old world elegance, a very spacious interior and large terrace, all housed in fine 19th century palazzo in the classic Florentine style.
Convenient location great for exploring Florence. The apartment is located along the Arno River in the prime location just one block from the Westin Excelsior Hotel, a 10 minute walk to upscale Via Tornabuoni and just over 5 minutes walk to the train station so exploring all of Florence is easy from this comfy home. It is situated at the corner of Lungarno Vespucci where it intersects with the Amerigo Vespucci bridge.
The Amerigo's Vista apartment is located in a fine 19th century palazzo in the classic Florentine style. The prime location along the Arno river is lovely. There is much to explore along the streets filled with shops and cafes as you meander along the river.
The apartment is very generously sized, plenty of room to enjoy and relax. It has been in the same family for many generations and truly feels like a home, not a bland vacation rental, with warm and personal touches throughout.
The large living room, dining room and study overlook the Arno river with nice views of the Bellosguardo and Arcetri hills. Endlessly gazing out the window enjoying the views.
The inviting living room is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing with a book and a cup of tea. There is non-working fireplace in the corner. The bookshelves have an interesting collection of art pieces collected over the years by the owners. The living room window overlooks the Arno river.
The large dining room, with views facing the Vespucci bridge, is a nice gathering spot for meals with family and friends, while you enjoy your stay in Florence. The dining table can expand to seat up to 10 people.
The large corner study is entered off the dining room. It has two sets of windows, both with river views. A large handsome desk and a cozy window seat as well as a trundle-style sofa bed that can be prepared as two single beds. There is a door to the office for privacy if guests are sleeping here. Good place for children to sleep.
The kitchen is in the center of the apartment. It is a true cook's kitchen, large for an Italian kitchen, with a very ample supply of dishes, utensils, pots and pans. There is plenty of countertop space for working, the farm table in the center of the room provides more workspace or a place to linger and socialize during meal preparation.
At the rear of the apartment is a large 500 square foot terrace. The terrace faces the buildings across a driveway. It is very large and pleasant to have so much outdoor space in such a central location. The patio furniture has a casual aspect. There is a new wrought iron and ceramic dining table that seats 8. You can imagine the many wonderful friends and families who have enjoyed social gatherings out on the terrace over the years! The terrace has two entrances, one is through the small third bedroom or the second queen bedded room.
The master bedroom is in the core of the apartment. It is large, with original vaulted brick ceiling. There is lots of storage with two dressers and a large armoire. The bedroom window faces an inner light well.
The second bedroom is at the back of the apartment and is decorated in sunny peach and yellow tones. It has a dresser and an armoire.
The third bedroom is also at the back of the apartment. It is a very small room, and also serves as a passage to the terrace or a dressing for the master bedroom. The antique single day bed is probably best for a child or a small person. There is an interesting collection of books in the shelves in this room, so you won't be starved for reading material.
The master bathroom is en suite. It has a large glass enclosed shower, separate tub, sink with marble counter and toilet. It has a window facing the light well and a window to the terrace.
The second bathroom is en suite with the second bedroom. It is a small bathroom with a shower squeezed into the corner, probably a tight fit for a large person. Sink and toilet.
A half bathroom in the foyer has a toilet and sink.

• Prime upscale location, very spacious apartment that can accommodate a crowd.
• Apartment has a homey feel, comfortable and with many personal touches of the owners who have had it for many generations.
• Large terrace is a bonus although terrace furniture is mis-matched. Table and chairs are high quality wrought iron, while other seating is older rattan. The terrace has no views other than the facing buildings but it is a very large and pleasant space. There is typical traffic noise for such a central location.
• Apartment is clean, well managed and organized. Owner's personal collections and art are interesting but if you don't like genteel bric-a-brac in every room, then this isn't the apartment for you.
Our Guest Reviews
My family used your apartment in Florence over the New Year holiday and really enjoyed it. You have a beautiful apartment in a terrific location.
I would highly recommend Italy Perfect! My husband and I worked with them before on a trip to Rome and there was no question to contact them again for the trip we took this year. We decided to bring all of our adult children - party of 6! We chose Amerigo's Vista for our group and loved the apartment! Our greeter was wonderful and very helpful. She showed us how to use appliances and the life saver washing machine! She went over the map of Florence and the neighborhood pointing out restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. We went with her suggestion about dinner and had a great outdoor dining experience across the Arno. We had snacks and wine on the terrace, enjoyed a pizza night and watched a movie for some down time!
[Thank you so much Karen, we are pleased you enjoyed staying at the Amerigo's Vista and look forward to welcoming you again! The Italy Perfect Team]
We LOVED the apartment. It was surprisingly large, with lots of room to spread out and have our own space.
We LOVED the apartment. It was surprisingly large, with lots of room to spread out and have our own space. The kitchen was great, great stove. The apt itself was very quiet and you could hear the dam on the Arno outside which was very relaxing. Very few night time drunks yelling- nice surprise on a holiday weekend. We actually spent quite a bit of time in the apartment bc the view outside was so nice, you could just relax in the living room or study, have a glass of wine and lookover the river to the church on the opposite side. It was also very easy to find- easy vehicle drop off and pick up right outside. We also let our kids wander on their own more than we would normally because the location was so easy to find- if they could get to the river they could easily find their way home.
The building was quiet. Some footsteps upstairs occasionally but nothing more. We enjoyed the back terrace quite a bit.
I could never figure out the heat but didn’t really try that hard. There were plenty of blankets so I wasn’t too worried. It got pretty cool a couple of days. It looked as if each room had an AC unit with its own remote.
Three keys provided so that was never a problem.
Originally our 13 yo was going to sleep in the little alcove between the master and porch but that wasn’t ideal so we found a folding bed and put it in the living room which worked out better for us. So we had our son in the back bedroom, one in study and one on living room. The fact that it had 2 and a half baths was also a blessing.
Maureen was there to greet us when we arrived and did a nice job acquainting is with everything. I would love to stay there again, in fact would love to rent it for a couple of months at some point. Thanks so much- great property!!!!
[Thank you for being our first guests at the Amerigo's Vista apartment. We're thrilled with your wonderful feedback, we are so happy you had a great stay. Sorry the instructions for turning on the heat weren't clear, we'll remedy that. Please come back again! The Italy Perfect Team]
