We love the Oltrarno area of Florence, just on the other side of the Ponte Vecchio bridge but only a few minutes walk from the bustling downtown area. A calmer atmosphere pervades this area, with wonderful restaurants, artisan workshops carrying on centuries-old traditions of art restoration, gilding, jewelry making, bespoke shoemakers and antique shops. We think you’ll love this area too and the special location of the Felicita apartment on picturesque Piazza Santa Felicita.

Totally renovated to the highest standard, everything is top quality from beautiful marble counter-tops and comfortable seating to details including high quality mattresses on the beds. Excellent light through large windows and a terrace as well. Table and chairs for the terrace will be there in a month, so you can look forward to breakfast on the terrace or toasting the sunset while listening to church bells ring throughout the city, a sound that is music to Florentine ears.

You are truly minutes walk from just about everything Florence has to offer. The Pitti Palace, Uffizi Gallery, Duomo, Medici Chapels are a very short stroll. Farther afield try a vigorous walk up to Museo Bardini and the Bardini Gardens, one of the Oltrarno areas most special museums in our opinion, or venture even further up to Forte di Belvedere (sadly famous for where Kanye West & Kim Kardashian said their vows, a dubious distinction!), or all the way up to Piazzale Michelangelo where the fantastic city views never fail to impress.

A great feature of the Felicita apartment is the super layout, with bedrooms and bathrooms to one side of the foyer and the living room with open plan kitchen and terrace on the other. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, another nice feature. The décor is tasteful, serene and high quality.
