- Bathrooms: 7
- Price: High Season €10,000/week
Lush gardens, stunning views invite you to enjoy all that the enchanting Amalfi Coast has to offer.
Mediterranean villa with expansive sea views and lush grounds filled with palm trees, bougainvillea, olive groves and redolent with the scent of lavender, lemons, rosemary. Refined decor inside and manicured lawns create a thoroughly relaxing environment for enjoying the best of the Amalfi Coast.
Marvelously positioned on a hill overlooking the timeless sea, Vista Serena is a classically elegant villa in a world class location between Sorrento and Positano. Carved from local volcanic rock, the 3-story house welcomes you to relax in the Mediterranean sun.
The location is ideal for day trips to Sorrento, Positano, Capri, Ravello and Pompeii but your favorite moments might just be time spent at Vista Serena, enjoying the 'dolce far ninete', the Italian expression which means the 'sweetness of doing nothing'.
A special aspect is the proximity of an excellent trattoria and a mini-mart/cafe only a 2 block walk from the villa.
For a bit of exercise there are hikes to enjoy down to the sea which takes about 1 hour or up on the trails of Monte Amato. Also, about 100 meters just outside the gate of Vista Serena, is a lovely park "Antico Parco dei Principe". It has a large public swimming pool with a high slide that kids love. You can also access a hiking trail from this park that goes up the mountain and then connects with the "Path of the Gods". This hike takes you along the dramatic and historic coastline for many miles and walkers/runners find this trail an ideal destination.
A gorgeous 30 minute drive will find you in Positano or Nerano where you can shop, eat and soak up the sun at the beach. Positano has a sandy beach, a vibrant little town with shops and restaurants. Nerano is small, intimate and beautiful with great restaurants....know that the beach in Nerano is composed of small stones, not sand.
The sweet housekeeper tends to guests and the house with loving care, exuding Italian warmth. She is available to cook for you if you like (fee applies).
Vista Serena villa is located in Piano di Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast, about a 15 minute drive to Sorrento.
Multiple seating areas to enjoy, whether overlooking the sparkling waters of Tyrrhenian sea to gaze out at I Galli, the trio of small islands below, or lounging on the shady patio. During summer the pool provides hours of refreshing enjoyment.
The villa is located off on a small road, only about 2 blocks off a major street so it is easy to find. It entered through a remote controlled gate where you'll find ample parking.
For larger groups Vista Serena can be rented in conjunction with Vista Flora which is located about 150 yards away elsewhere on the estate and is accessed through a separate entrance off the road. You can also walk between the two properties through a path along the olive groves.
Furnished in fresh colors of the sea and sun, the cheerful interiors offer old world elegance and timeless style. The ground floor has a large double living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom.
Off the living room is a large shaded patio with seating where you can read, socialize and enjoy the serene location. Gaze across the grounds to the timeless Mediterranean.
A second outdoor area off the the kitchen is the loggia where you can toast your Italian adventure while dining "at home".
The living room has two sofas, an arm chair, a chaise longue and a fireplace. It is open to the second seating area with 2 sofas and a TV which receives a few English language news channels.
The eat-in kitchen is fully furnished with refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes. A table in the kitchen can accommodate six.
French doors off the kitchen open to the dining loggia where two round dining tables can accommodate 8 people per table.

Our Guest Reviews
Absolutely fantastic experience!
From start to finish, our experience with Italy Perfect was perfect. Our stay was a family reunion of 11 people, including a 4.5 year old. There was plenty of room for our group. The grounds are absolutely impeccable - i am involved with golf course management and i have never seen such perfect grass and landscaping. The support staff that came every day did a very good job keeping our place neat. We had asked for snacks and breakfast materials to be there upon our arrival and all was there in great shape. One evening we used a local cook that our greeter arranged and that meal was the best i had in all of Italy. We loved having the pool to cool off after our excursions and it was great having a washing machine there, especially since we had already been travelling for a week. Our greeter was of immense help, particularly as she arranged transportation from the Naples airport at midnight for one of our group. She answered many of our questions over the week and was of immense help. The location was a bit of a challenge for those not used to driving in italy, but once we got the hang of it, it was fine. It fact there was a religious festival (St. Andrew)going on down the street for a few days while we were there, which added to our fun. The views from the decks and the main lawn are absolutely to die for and many evenings were spent overlooking the islands. The dining areas were perfect and the plates/cutlery and glasses were fabulous. Some of the details in the room were so thoughtful - there were wash clothes provided for us Americans, who are used to them, and fresh bars of Dove soap when we arrived. There is good hiking up the hill behind the place and the view from the very top is worth the effort. There are a few restaurants nearby but we weren't exactly clear on where they were - perhaps a little more clarity on that - and some info on when the nearby mini market is open/closed. I absolutely would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. And, i would recommend Italy Perfect for their service; hope to try to use them again in another place.
Beyond perfect, a dream come true! Paradise. Pat was excellent and very helpful.

November is Super in Sorrento
It took some convincing by my bro in law that November would be great. Better than great. Grand. Weather was warm, restaurants available, lovely grounds were still green. They were harvesting the olives by hand on the property. We used the recommended driver for outings around the peninsula and were glad for him. Enjoyed little walks around the area and hanging out in Sorrento a bit, too. This was a vacation, so we also slept in, read books and gazed at the sea and cliffs above while the clouds made art in the sky. Go in November.
