Trasteve Luce in Rome - Bright Value

People love the central Roman neighborhood of Trastevere because it is so much of a little village with neighbors greeting each other in the street, laundry hanging above. It is also know for its many reasonably priced restaurants and lively night life. A guest said, "Trastevere is the Little Italy of Rome!" We are careful about apartments here because they can be noisy, also because Trastevere stretches quite a distance away from the river, so for convenience it is preferable to be closer to the Tiber river as this apartment is. The Trastevere Luce apartment is just a few minutes walk from Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere where it is happening, yet isn't in the thick of the crowds. The view out the window is neat. Two freshly rennovated bathrooms makes this work well for a couple as well as for four people with two on the really comfortable sofa bed.

We approached the apartment with real concerns about the street noise and are happy to report that there isn't a lot of traffic, the curvy street makes other thoroughfares more efficient, the nearby curve slows things down AND the super duper, brand new windows block exterior sounds almost completely. Jacopo Apartment in Florence - Memorable

One of our Florentine friends had been searching for several years for a vacation rental apartment to buy, asking for our input to help him find just the right one. We gave him our wish list and after several years of searching, and many rejects that did not meet our criteria, he finally found the cute Jacopo apartment. We first inspected it last August, see Pat in the "Before" photos below doing our Italy Perfect walk through to check on features, location, comfort, amenities. Once the purchase was complete and the apartment was ready we returned to take the photos in February. Take the Jacopo tour. We had a fun time getting the apartment ready and had an especially memorable lunch one day of Tuscan Ribbolita just down the block at a favorite homestyle neighborhood restaurant. The kitchen is especially nice and the sleeping loft is cute. The sofa is new together with the clever ottoman which opens up to become a single bed. This is a nice feature for two friends or mother-daughter parties who want to be in a great location but don't want to share a bed. The historic towers next door are something to behold. The little supermarket just down the block is so convenient and one of our favorite bakeries is just a three minute walk away. This neighborhood abounds with great restaurants too!

Here are some before and after photos that depict the Jacopo evolution. Removed odd planter filled with dead plants under the stairs & added a desk. Recovered sofa, removed extra table in the living room area and replaced it with new folding ottoman bed. In the bedroom added hand-painted Florence dresser.
