"Wonderful roof top terrace." |
| Exquisite Terraced Apartment by the Spanish Steps |

Elegance, taste, amenities and views abound in this five star apartment that is a two minute walk to the Spanish Steps.
See the Angelina video.
We have to use superlatives when it comes to the lovely Angelina apartment. The roof top terrace and balcony allow you to enjoy the wonderful weather of Rome and timeless views of the Eternal City. Everything has been considered for lifetime memories of Rome.
The Spanish Steps location is so popular because it is very central. The graceful steps and the piazza are beautiful albeit usually bustling with visitors. From this location many of the important sites of Rome are within a 15 minute walking radius. Fine shops and restaurants abound in this district. Transportation is also easy from this home ba
The handsome marble-lined lobby leads right to a modern elevator that takes you to the top floor. There are no steps to get to the elevator or to the apartment. There is, however, a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop terrace.
Across the large living and dining area of the apartment are three French doors that open onto a full balcony with views of rooftops and the church across the street and you can look down into the street, too.
If you need to keep connected, you will find a landline telephone as well as a high speed internet connection.
The living room is big enough for entertaining. It offers a sofa, a love seat and three arm chairs. The colors are quiet and rich. An oriental carpet echoes the reds in a large antique tapestry fr
The balcony has a table and a series of terra cotta planters all along the outside of the rail. You can enjoy a view of the facade of S. Andrea delle Frate church across the street, the little piazza below with a newsstand and the parade of people traveling to and from Piazza di Spagna.
From the entryway, a narrow, spiral stair case rises sixteen steps to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace has a rush mat cover to reduce the heat of the sun and terra cotta pots with green and flowering plants depending on the season. It is open on three sides, the fourth being painted with a unobtrusive fresco of the Roman skyline. Why focus on the fresco, when the real thing is just beyond? You can see St Peter's dome, the Pantheon, the presidential palace, and the top of the spires on nearby Trinita di Monti church at the top of the Spanish Steps and more. A cafe table and four chairs are enough for all guests. Also, there is a stone sink and a small refrigerator. Keep your cocktail items where you need them!
The bedroom is well-sized, holding a queen sized bed, night stands, a television set and two closets. The en-suite bathroom is very nicely done offering a shower, toilet, bidet and a sink in marble. Next to the bathroom is a small room with more wonderful views. It houses the washing machine hidden inside a cabinet. It also contains a comfortable chair for a quiet place to read.
The sleeping loft is accessed by a pretty staircase that rises from the living room. There is just room for a French twin bed and cabinet on top of which is another television set. There is room to stand up and walk from one end of the bed to the other (i.e. the loft is larger than the bed itself).

| If you love culture, shopping, and gelato, this is the best location in Rome for you. | Aug 2010 |
My friend and I (two professional women) enjoyed our thirteen-day stay at the Angelina in every way. Perfect location, perfect apartment--everything worked perfectly, and we never had a single problem with any thing in the apartment. We never encountered another person in our time there (except for Elvi, the housekeeper, when she met us and when she came to clean the second week). The apartment was absolutely quiet (and safe) at all times and absolutely spotless. The elevator and air conditioning were both blessings in the Roman heat. |

My stay at the angelina apartment in Rome was perfect! It was beatifully furnished with all amenities including housekeeper who came once a week and on call if needed. The location was great - could walk to most places. It was wonderful to have a balcony overlooking the lovely church of San andrea della Frate plus a roof top terrace to watch the sunsets over Rome. Renting through Perfect Italy also made a difference - they provided so much helpful information already counting the days when I can return! |

| Angelina Apartment | Jul 2010 |
We liked the Angelina apartment and the location very much. I liked the light in the apartment and the balcony. The furnishings were lovely and with a comfortable bed. Our son liked the little alcove sleeping area. (the television did not work up there however). We enjoyed having the upper patio to watch the City at night. Your service was great in terms of our greeter and having some milk and fruit provided was a nice touch that we appreciated very much. A problem for us was that in all of the information about the apartment it was stated that there was a working computer. As a result, we did not bring our laptop computer which we would have done had we known that there was no longer a computer provided. This was a drawback as my husband needed to check in with his work, and we had planned to look up restaurants, maps, etc. while staying in Rome for our week's visit. It really would have been helpful to know this as we would have brought our own computer. Another drawback for us was that the World Cup was going on, and we did not seem to have cable or did we receive that channel. My son was crazy about the World Cup, and it was disappointing to not have good television service. Although we did not desire to watch much TV as were seeing Roma all day and night, when we did want to see it, we wanted it to work. [So sorry. The computer was removed over a year ago because it died and we failed to notify these guests who booked very far ahead. The World Cup was not available on standard channels or even basic satellite, but they should have called their greeter for help anyway.] We would still definitely return as it is a great apartment in a superb location. We walked everywhere. To other guests traveling in summer, I recommend getting out early no matter how jet lagged you think that you are. Take a tour of the Colliseum and the Forum and same yourself the long lines. We also had a private guide for the Vatican which was a good investment. It is tough to recommend restaurants as we had many good meals that we often came upon because we could not find the original place we were looking for. I would hate to rob anyone of their "discovery" a as that was a lot of fun. I would also say to look and see what the locals are eating. One funny story is that on our first day we stopped and a little sidewalk place and ordered pizza and salad and something else that was actually too bad to eat,a fritto misto that was laded in thick, greasy batter and when we got up to use the restroom, everyone...and I mean everyone and all locals were slurping down the same dish which was mussels over a big bowl of pasta!!! Next time! Lastly, while it was good to have the big detailed print out of the apartment, it seemed that is was out of date and needs to be revised. Many things were incorrect, for example how to use the elevator. We managed however and again, the good things outweigh the challenges. [I will review the apartment information to ensure it is current, although the elevator hasn't changed. Pat] We love Italy and are already planning our next trip! |

| "Wonderful" | Jul 2010 |
Our stay in the angelina apartment made our week in Rome even more special. We were greeted by Elvi who is the sweetest woman. She was very thorough, showing us around the apt and how everything worked. She then gave us a much appreciated tour of the surrounding area. There is a terrific grocery store right around the corner. The angelina is a beautiful, comfortable apartment that felt more like a home than a rental. The balcony off the living room and the roof top terrace were wonderful and we enjoyed quite a few meals on both. We could not believe the views from the roof top terrace. We also loved the location of the apt, being so close to the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens, Trevi Fountain and great shopping. We waked to all the sights in Rome from the angelina. At night, we slept like babies. It is a very quiet apartment with a terrific air conditioning system and a very comfortable bed. We have already recommended this apartment to friends and would definitely stay in the angelina again the next time we are in Rome. |

| Great Find | Jun 2010 |
Thank you for all your help for what turned out to be a very special holiday. Angelina was a lovely flat, so very central that we could pretend to be Romans! Its siting could not have been better. In fact it allowed me to wander all over Rome relatively easily with a few gelato stops and so the trip turned out to be the best physiotherapy I could ever have prescribed for myself. The two small balconies were a delight, morming, noon and night. Elvi was a charming and reliable contact and an immensely reassuring background presence. We will never use a hotel for Rome again. I have already recommnended the flat and you at Italy Perfect to several people. |

| Angelina is the best | Apr 2010 |
This location is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Whenever I was lost I could simply look for the Trevi Fountain signs which are everywhere and know that I was 3 blocks away. The location is between Trevi Fountain and spanish steps, seconds away from the metro/subway, everything was walking distance. (Except the Vatican which the metro takes you easily to). Now for the property. We absolutely loved the place. It was so quaint, peaceful and scenic. It helped us feel the essence of life in Rome without feeling as much tourist like at a hotel. We made our own breakfasts, and snacks. Catching up on laundry helped to pack lighter too. This place is romantic, fabulous and decorated for comfort and the feel of Rome. There are two balconies with great views. LOVED this place and will return someday. I will use Italy Perfect often in the future, every detail was completely worked out. The housekeeper Elvi is dependable waiting at your arrival, accesible with various numbers to reach her. Internet, be sure to just look for the wire by the desk to connect directly to your computer (don't plan on WIFI wireless working), but with direct connection it worked out well and was running the entire time. Having an internet connection was helpful. Hint: if you are visiting Vatican go to their website even the day before and pay ahead of time a ticket will be emailed to you within seconds. This will save you hours waiting in line, you simply take pass to front of line and wonder why the people in line(at least 2 hours worth of waiting) didn't simply buy online. You will not be disappointed with this apartment. For 3 people is perfect size and still plenty of privacy for my daughter to get away from her parents. Several sliding doors to close off bedroom from hallway and family room. The kitchen level balcony is perfect for dining outside even though plenty of room inside too. |

| The Best Vacation. | Dec 2009 |
Well this was the best apartment that I have rented in over 20 years of going to Italy. the Elfie lady meet me and made sure that there was even food in the refrigrator and milk and jusce and even a small bottle of wine. She had a pizza which she was going to eat for dinner and she left for me. So sweet. There was everything that you needed in the aparmtnet. I did find out the mystery of the door bell ringing at 7 am in the morning the trash men. Well I never let them in but saw on my last day there that they pushed all the door bells so someone whould let time in. I would say this to anyone that wants a dream vacation this is the apartment for you. |

| The location was perfect and the apartment was just right! | Nov 2009 |
Elvie was so helpful. She was able to meet us early and give us the orientation. She even let us tag along to Despar and helped us pick up some meats, cheese, and wine for snacking etc. We had breakfast on the rooftop every day which was a real treat….the weather was perfect for it. We know we need to go back to Rome (someday) because there was still so much we didn’t get to do….so, when it happens we’ll be hoping to get back into the Angelina. The location was perfect and the apartment was just right! Thanks again for everything. |

We loved our stay @ the Angelina apartment. Though in the middle of everything, it was quiet and a great resting place from the hustle of Rome. Walking was a breeze from here, nearly every top location only a mile away, with plenty of restaurant options, a market for supplies and even 2 Bernini Angels right across the cobbled street. Eva, the house keeper was very helpful and had the kitchen set up with some essentials when we arrived which was so thoughtful. Our only downside was the lack of the promised computer and no one knowing the password for the WiFi as a go around. That would be helpful to have in the manual for future guests. There was also the washing machine with a mind of its own. We ended up using it a bit as it was much warmer than we had packed for so the light clothes got extra use, but the model had changed since the manual and even though Eva showed us and left the manual (in Italian) it seemed to never do the same thing twice, so we had to keep tricking it to work. Ah, Italy. We would definately stay here again, or another of the Italy Perfect locations. Loved having our own space and having coffee on the veranda in the morning and wine at sunset. |

| We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Italy Perfect to all. | Aug 2009 |
The location is excellent, we used the market down the street several times and we enjoyed our morning cappuccio at the cafe two doors down. The terrace was awesome too, we really had a great stay, there are so many nice features like beautiful lines, Elvie's gifts and neighborhood tour and umbrellas if needed. We went on three different tours with Through Eterinity which were all very good. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Italy Perfect to all. See our review of the Medici apartment in Florence too. Lisa was very attentive to our requests, including train reservations and currency information. Our first apartment was in Venice through a different company, the difference in service was dramatic. We regretted not using Italy Perfect for all our apartments but we now know better for the next time. |

| A perfect experience | Aug 2009 |
This was our first experience renting an appartment and we can tell you that we are adopting the concept for quite a few years to come. There were no deception between Italy Perfect web site, the communication with Lisa and Pat and the actual site. This is truly a 5 star accomodation. The Angelina appartment was vast in spite of the so called 'european standard', well furnished and well equiped. Safe, lovely and quiet hence located in the heart of historical Roma. Lots of sunshine through the many windows, lovely in the morning for breakfast. We did appreciated the fact that there was a phone and a computer available to us. The arrangement for transportation from airport to the city was perfect and very efficient and the welcome at the apartment well done and thourough. We are adopting ItalyPerfect. |

| Thrilled Again! | Jul 2009 |
After a hectic drive into Rome and trying to find our way we were met by the greeter at our Angelina apartment. What a lovely lady, warm, generous and made us laugh. The apartment was beautiful, well situated for our needs and air-conditioned. The package provided by Italy Perfect provided us with all the information to make our stay comfortable. We had stayed with Italy Perfect (Frattina) in 2006 and thought it was terrific, this years trip was great too! Our only annoyance was that someone would ring the doorbell at 7:30 every morning. Thanks for everything,

Awesome, apartment was great!! Location, amenities, roof top private terrace is so great. The views of the city were fantastic. We felt very safe in the building and walking around the surrounding area. The greeter was great and very accessible during our stay with minor questions we had. Pat Byrne was great in helping me prepare for the trip, and Italy perfect's information about Rome helped us plan our trip!! Thanks! We'll be back. |

| Romance in Rome! | Jun 2009 |
We travel to Europe at least once a year and stay at vacation rentals. The Angelina Apartment was by far one of the nicest we have experienced. The linens, dishes, and furniture are all excellent and enhance your stay. The photos on the website exactly represent the property. Elvi, the greeter, is quite charming and helpful. We also used the car service recommended by Pat for transportation to/from the airport. They were perfect. The location is incredible. It is a great neighborhood that is close to so many sites you want to see and feels very safe. There are many restaurants and shops to make life as a 'local' easy and exciting. You do not hear sounds from the street below. And the balcony and rooftop terrace are a wonderful addition. We stayed during a very hot period - so we adjusted our lifestyle to match the locals - breakfast on the balcony early in the morning. Get to the sites by 8:30 and then ready for lunch at 1:00. Back to the apartment, turn on the air conditioning, and sleep till 5pm. Then it is out for dinner and activities in the evening. This worked perfectly for us.The only challenge we had was internet connection. The owner came by once to fix it, but it never worked except sporadically. That was disappointing.Pat provided wonderful documentation to read prior to the trip to understand the culture/charm/quirks/challenges of visiting Rome. They were very comprehensive and helpful. Working with ItalyPerfect was easy. We will definitely do it again. We would stay in Angelina again as well. One nice surprise was the closeness of the Borghese gardens. Wonderful place to visit just to get out of the heat and enjoy the beauty of nature. We did the typical things from the Forum, the Colosseum, Vatican, Parthenon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Jewish Ghetto, Travestere, St. Peter's Basilica, and countless churches. Rome is truly magnificent. |

Just to let you know that all went well in Rome. Your help and guidance was appreciated. The apartment was great and very convenient in terms of location and comfort. Even the soccer tixs eventually worked out [delivered to apt]. If your clients want them in future, I would recommend the agency www.romalazio.co.uk. They did everything they said they would do and even refunded money, as the seats were not where we specified [we never would have known, as seats were great}.apartment was accurately advertised. extremely clean, well furnished and in a "to die for" location. no surprises. Italy Perfect, the rental agent was easy to work with and most helpful with all aspects of our trip. You can rely on and trust their recommendations! Arrival at the apartment was seamless and our rome hostess was gracious and always available.I can not imagine anyone being disappointed with this rental. Hope to return to Italy- now hooked- and if so, will be in touch |

| Angelina is a great apartment! | Dec 2008 |
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Angelina apartment. The location is central, with most of things we wanted to see first being within a short walk. The apartment itself is charming. It feels like you are borrowing someone's personal apartment, not like a rental at all. Everything works. Yes, the view in the photo is really the view from the terrace. The service was as good as you could hope for. There were no surprises, no hidden fees. We arrived late on a Saturday. Despite the fact that our flight was delayed, Elvi was waiting to give us a warm welcome and show us everything. When we return to Rome we will certainly rent an apartment through Italy Perfect and may well rent Angelina again. |

| Great Apartment | Nov 2008 |
We can't imagine staying in this beautiful, exciting, crowded, noisy area anywhere but in this wonderful apartment. It is high enough to be above it all and yet right where you want to be when you go out. Right in the middle! The apartment is big and light, the livingroom all windows on one side, and the bedroom big and restful, no windows at night if you close all the doors. A perfect nest in which to sleep. The bathroom is modern and lovely, and there is a divine patio at the top of a spiral staircase, where you will want to have wine in the evening while you enjoy the view of St Peter's and the birds over the skyline, or coffee in the early morning. And Elvi gave us a perfect welcome to the apartment, the neighborhood and the city. She was at the street door when we arrived, took us up to the apartment, showed us where everything was and how it worked, then gave us short tour of the immediate neighborhood, which included directions to the supermarket. There are Rome books in the cabinet on the sun porch, a small computer on the desk in the livingroom and an espresso maker in the kitchen. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Rome! |

| You will NOT be disappointed with the services | Aug 2008 |
Our accommodations were excellent - great location and everything that we needed for our stay was available. Someone greeted us (as was noted) and our stay was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the location above all. Very well organized and was exactly what we expected. The location was the highlight of the trip. Most surrounding restaurants were great - Mirabelle was exceptiolly great, but pricey. Only tip is "you will NOT be disappointed with the services". |

The Angelina apartment was wonderful, and the greeter is a delight. We had a great time in Rome, and only encountered one bus strike. | It was exactly as described. | Jun 2008 |
We had a great time. Thank-you very much. We will DEFINITELY use your services again. The apartment was terrific. It was exactly as described. Perhaps better. The cleaning lady was cheerful, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Rome is great. I think I'm going to move. As for drawbacks, the computer was in pretty bad shape and really not useful for getting onto the internet. [Needed a virus cleanup that has been done, but it is still an older machine. Pat] The location is as central as you can get. The neighborhood is basically the 57th Street of Rome. Every high fashion store on the planet is within a block or two. I'd recommend a wonderful, neighborhood place on the square in Testaccio - It's the only sidewalk cafe there, and the food is great, the prices reasonable, and NO tourists. The most interesting shops were on the streets immediately around the Piazza Fiori. Tips for future guests: Rome's expensive. Bring lots of money. Also go on a diet first so you can fit into the great clothes they have all over the place. You were great. The only thing I'd recommend is that you suggest how much to leave the cleaning lady for a tip. We left 50 euro, but weren't sure if that was right. |

| 4+ on a scale of 1 to 5. | Apr 2008 |
Overall, I would give Angelina a 4+ on a scale of 1 to 5. I enjoyed the most the spaciousness, the marble bath, and the terraces. Elvi was so sweet and did several things to help us out. When the toilet didn't work, we were very worried. [The entire toilet was replaced. Pat] The location is central, convenient. Crowded, but we didn't care. You were very responsive! I was impressed that you were so reachable. |

| We loved the Angelina apartment | Oct 2007 |
We were so touched by the incredibly warm response from Elvi at the Angelina apartment. She was amazing - invited us to go for a walk to see the neighbourhood so we saw the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps and had a gelato within two hours of arriving in Rome! We loved the Angelina apartment and appreciated the addition of milk, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, some pasta, tomato sauce, cookies, etc. The bed was incredibly comfortable (loved the linen sheets) and there was not a sound through the night! The location could not be beat. But honestly, it was Elvi's warm welcome that set the tone for our stay there. |

| The element that made it so wonderful was the roof top nest | Sep 2007 |
We thought the accommodation was very special. The element that made it so wonderful for us was the roof top nest where we could sip our wine, taste our cheese, listen to opera on our ipod and gaze at the at the softly glimmering Roman skyline. Enjoyed the most: Tasting the food delights of Rome in the privacy of our own apartment. We were a bit shell shocked when we first arrived into Rome from the Almalfi coast to find that we were contributing to a total tourist invasion (mid Sept). When we walked out of our apartment it was like entering the ground floor of a Department store on the first day of the Sales. However we eventually got used to it and even found some very friendly locals in the nearby supermarket who were genuinely helpful and not at all intolerant of tourists. If we were to go back we would have a bit of a dilemma because we both loved the apartment but think it was probably a bit of a mistake to position ourselves slap bang between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain during the high tourist season. However I think we might be tempted to book the same apartment but at a time which was less touristy. We enjoyed a walk to Trastevere where we found a total non-tourist eatery called Saverio which we could highly recommend. Service was very good. Elvie was very sweet and helpful. Despite my rabbitting on about “tourists” (which includes us) we had a great time and Angelina, bless her, was a big part of why we had a such an enjoyable visit to Roma. |

| Really enjoyed our stay at Angelina in Rome | Sep 2007 |
My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Italy and really enjoyed our stay at Angelina in Rome. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace where we watched many sunsets! The location was ideal for us and we would definitely stay there again. Having the computer in the apartment was very nice, also. We also appreciated your [restaurant] recommendations and tried several of them. One of our best meals was at al Piccolo arrancio. The only mystery was the dryer setting on the washer/dryer combo unit. I guess we were not patient enough but we maged with the old fashioned, air-dry method. I will certainly recommend you to my network, Lisa. |

| The location of the apartment was perfect | Jun 2007 |
My husband and I stayed in the Angelina apartment in Rome the last week of June, 2007. The greeting was very hospitable. For a group of three, Angelina was perfect. My mother loved the charming loft, especially because the air conditioning worked so well. In fact, the A/C in the apartment was a luxury during a week Rome experienced record high temperatures. We enjoyed relaxing in the apartment during the warmest part of each day; we made ourselves get up and out early to enjoy as much of the city as we could, and thoroughly enjoyed our quiet time in the apartment in the afternoons. The living room was spacious and offered enough room for the three of us to spread out a bit. The compact kitchen was workable. All in all, it was a very clean apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. But wait!!! I almost forgot the best part! The roof-top terrace! We ate at least one meal a day up there, usually two. The location of the apartment was perfect, within walking distance of almost everything. Well, for hard-core walkers. A few times, our tired feet demanded we take a taxi back. We had a wonderful vacation and much appreciated the efficient service and useful Rome tourism tips and restaurant recommendations from ItalyPerfect. |

| Always fun to see celebrities! | Jun 2007 |
I wanted to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed the Angelina apartment in Rome...especially the location. The weather in Rome for that week was hot but we had a marvelous, enjoyable time in that wonderful city. We met the greeter the morning of our arrival and she was extremely helpful and pleasant. We also appreciated the bottled water and wine in the refrigerator and fresh fruit on the table...what a nice touch. The weather being so very hot, it was doubly appreciated. The location was wonderful. Also, we got to meet [actor] Owen Wilson several times during the week as he was staying somewhere in the next building..one or two doors down from our entrance. We seemed to be on the same schedule coming and going on many days. Always fun to see celebrities! |

Neat flat, great location and warm welcome by Elvira. The only thing I can think to gripe about are the pigeons on the roof terrace, which I guess tells you that we have nothing to complain about! Thanks. |

| For joggers, the location is perfect | Nov 2006 |
The apartment was wonderful. We loved it. It was comfortably furnished, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was more than adequately eqipped, the computer (high speed internet) was a great convenience, and the owners even provided a few welcoming groceries and a bottle of wine ( a lovely touch). We enjoyed having coffee and cereal at home in the morning and being able to eat dinner at home a couple of nights. We also enjoyed relaxing in the pleasant living room with the guidebook and planning the next day, with the computer nearby to make reservations. The location is wonderfully convenient for shopping, siteseeing and dining. For joggers, the location is perfect--we jogged in the Borghese gardens every morning. The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are just a "stone's throw" away. The church across the street is definitely worth a visit. There is a new shop in the same block as the apartment (I don't recall the name) that sells interesting jewelry made of Murano glass. Your website was the best that I found when I was looking for an apartment in Rome (although I didn't find it through a web search; rather through Mariann). The site provides excellent detail and a fair assessment of the apartment. There were no surprises. The car service you recommended worked well. Your follow-up e-mail in the middle of our stay was also welcome. I have been singing your praises to everyone and have recommended your website to several interested people. We will definitely be in touch for our next trip to Italy. |
