"Perfect location, cute apartment...it really made our holiday memorable." |
| Affordable Apartment near Popular Campo de' Fiori |

Campo de' Fiori is one of Rome's best-loved locations. Soak up the morning sunshine and enjoy an espresso at Caffe Farnese just around the corner from the La Giulia apartment. Or stop off at the end of a full day and enjoy an afternoon gelato or an early evening aperitif along Campo' de Fiori. It can be hard to choose from the many excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. If you would rather cook at the apartment, go to Campo de' Fiori in the morning and enjoy the array of fresh fruits and vegetables or a special seasoning mix to enhance your pasta sauce from one of the colorful stalls. Stop into Roscioli for prosciutto, mortadella, salami, cheese and olives.
One of Rome's most sought-after locations, just steps from enchanting Campo de' Fiori and majestic Piazza Navona.
The darling Rome vacation apartment is located on a charming, small street just off Via Giulia in a 17th century building. Perfect for people who want the conveniences of an apartment in the "centro storico" (historic center) of Rome with all major sites within walking distance.
The Campo de' Fiori is the neighborhood of Renaissance Rome where the power mongers built their palaces, such as Palazzo Farnese and Palazzo Spada. We know the importance of staying in a great location, and this part of Rome qualifies as one of the best due to its proximity to the major sites and the everyday conveniences of local restaurants, pizzerias, cafes and the Campo de' Fiori market.
Step out the door and choose between elegant antique shopping to your right half a block away on Via Giulia, or walk 2 blocks to your left and select from the freshest produce for tonight's dinner at Rome's most famous open air market, the Campo de' Fiori, meaning "field of flowers".
Via Giulia is a beautiful street for strolling, window-shopping and people watching, as are Piazza Farnese and Campo de' Fiori. Many of the streets are named for the merchants that once populated the area: Via del Giubbonari -- the jacket makers, Via della Barchetta -- the boat builders, Via degli Specchi -- street of mirrors.
Only a few minutes walk and you're at Piazza Navona or the Pantheon. Cross the Tiber and you're in scenic Trastevere where some of the people look like characters from a Fellini film.
The Vatican, the Colosseum, the Forum, the Spanish Steps are reasonable walk if you want to work off that pasta and wine from the night before, or if your feet are crying for mercy, are an easy bus or cab ride.
Just a few blocks away is Largo Argentina, one of the major bus stops where there is bus transportation available all over the city. It easy to catch bus lines 23, 46, 56, 60, 62, 64, 74, 280 so transportation options abound. The convenient Tram 8 goes across the river to Trastevere.
It is on the second floor U.S./first floor European, and is entered directly off the lobby of the building. Once inside the apartment's front door you walk up a beautiful wrought iron spiral staircase one flight and you are now in the apartment. It is a large studio-style apartment that is a comfortable pied-a-terre right in the center of this exciting neighborhood.
Step into the apartment from the staircase, the living room seating area is to your left, in front of the left set of beautiful windows facing over the street. Behind the living area, to your left, is the sleeping alcove. Another set of windows is directly in front of you, just opposite the top of the stairs. To your right is the dining area with designer lighting over the table. Just behind you, to the right, is the efficiency kitchen and the bathroom.
The apartment has two sets of windows, complete with planted flower boxes and look out onto the charming street letting light and air into the apartment. The windows are set into dramatic arched niches adding an historic architectural element to the apartment. The floors are beautiful polished terracotta tiles.
It is tastefully furnished with a palette of whites, creams and reds in the living room area and a modern dining table with seating for four people.
The apartment has a large, dramatic stone fireplace mantle surrounding a (non-working) fireplace between the dining area and the bathroom.
The living room area has a comfortable sofa upholstered in white. The apartment furnishings mix modern furniture set against an antique backdrop, that keep the feel fresh and comfortable.
The queen-sized bed in the sleeping alcove has suspended lamps on either side of the bed for reading. Cheerful linens and a soft duvet beckon for an afternoon siesta after a busy day of exploring the sites of Rome. The ceiling above the bed has beautiful exposed beams and stucco. At the foot of the bed against the wall is a closet.
The kitchen is a small efficiency-style hidden behind folding louvered doors where you can fix breakfast or toss together a simple dinner from the fresh ingredients obtained that morning at the Campo de' Fiori market only a stone's throw away. It has a three-burner gas cook top, an under-the-counter refrigerator, a sink and a microwave. The kitchen comes with pots, pans and dishes. Along the wall just outside the kitchen area is a sleek buffet-style cabinet that holds serving pieces.
The small bathroom is one of the most dramatic aspects of the apartment with ruby-red tiles and lighting that will make you feel as glamorous as the well-heeled Italians strolling in the streets below. It is small but up-to-date with the latest fixtures and brass taps. When you enter the bathroom the shower is immediately in front of you and has a shower curtain enclosure attached to the wall that forms the enclosure. When not in use the shower curtain is gathered against the wall to provide access to the sink. The sink, with a large mirror over it, is on the facing wall directly opposite the bathroom entrance. The toilet is to your right.

One of Rome's most sought-after locations, just steps from enchanting Campo de' Fiori and majestic Piazza Navona.
• One of the best locations in Rome
• Good value for such comfort and extreme convenience
• Cute romantic hideway for couples
• Shower set-up is awkward but all that can fit in such a small space. 360 degree curtain is challenging and items left out in bathroom when showering will get wet.
• Did we say this is one of the best locations in Rome? It bears repeating!

The La Giulia apartment was a charming "home away from home"! I was very comfortable there and really appreciated the character of the neighborhood and the apartment's location--right in the heart of Rome. I loved having a space to call my own, to make meals, to spend a quiet evening reading... I felt comfortable knowing that, if a problem arose (which didn't happen), the apartment owners were more than willing to help me out. The Italy Perfect folk were also very helpful. The apartment was situated a couple blocks away from a super market (Campo dei Fiore--great fresh fruit in the mornings!) and a short walk away from Trastevere (neighborhood with lots of charm) and Giolitti's (best gelato ever!) I would definitely recommend La Giulia and Italy Perfect to anyone looking for accomodations in Rome. |

| When we return, we will seek out La Guilia again, without hesitation. | Nov 2008 |
We loved La Giulia. We loved the ruby-tiled bathroom. We loved the winding wrought-iron staircase. We loved the deep window wells. We loved the location. You prepared us well. We appreciated having our train ticket in hand to Florence in advance. We appreciated the guidebooks in the flat. The only drawback, if I must list one, would be the European-style bathroom with the shower right in with the sink, but I've lived in Italy and I know that's how they mostly are. The water pressure was great and we had lots of hot water so, really, wiping off the mirror now and then is nothing to speak of. Thank you for running such a delightful flat. When we return, we will seek out La Guilia again, without hesitation. Many thanks. |

| Cozy, comfortable and perfectly located | May 2008 |
Thank you for the excellent service you provided. We had a wonderful time in Rome. We loved the apartment; it was cozy and comfortable and perfectly located. It was an easy walk to most of the major sights or we could just hop on a bus without any problems. It was great going "home" to our "own apartment" and started to feel like the locals. Francesca was very nice and we are looking forward to returning next year. |

| Wonderful "little home" | Apr 2008 |
Haven't had the chance to thank you and Francesca for the wonderful "little home" we stayed in for the week of Mar. 22-30. You're right the location was/is perfect. We walked all over (a total of 75+ miles) between our week in Paris and our week in Rome. I must say Rome was much warmer. Paris was VERY COLD & WINDY. Again, thank you for making our stay absolutely wonderful. Hopefully we'll be able to visit you next year. |

| Great location, elegant, and clean | Mar 2008 |
Just a quick note to say that our recent trip to Rome was a great experience (despite mostly cloudy, drizzly skies) and the La Guilia apartment was an important part of it. It exceeded our expectations in every way -- great location, elegant, and clean. It was also nice to meet Francesca (as well as Gabriella). They were both very helpful in answering our questions and making suggestions. We look forward to our July trip to northern areas, ending with a week in your Michaela apartment in Florence. |

Also, I was impressed with the location. It was nice to see we were so close to all the great piazzas, Campo dei Fiori, and the Vatican. We will certainly be back. Thanks again! |

| Great to come back to our own little nest | Oct 2007 |
We enjoyed the apartment! It was cozy, and a great neighborhood. It was great to come back to our own little nest after dinner in Campo de'Fiori or Piazza Farnese. The many guidebooks and maps in the apartment were helpful too. |

| I especially loved the tile in the bathroom | Jul 2007 |
I enjoyed everything about the apartment. Red being my favourite colour, I especially loved the tile in the bathroom! And of course the location couldn't have been better. We walked everywhere, and it was wonderful to be just around the corner from Piazza Farnese, the Campo de' Fiori. I'll certainly recommend "La Giulia" to friends. |

| Thank you for the wonderful insight | Jul 2007 |
We just got back last night and after 34 nights, 4 countries, 6 cities, 3 apartments, amazing museums, culture, people, food, and the list goes on and on made it home safe & sound with memories for a at least a life time. Thank you again for all your help and the wonderful insight and information. I'll visit the web site to leave comments and send you a couple photos as well. We loved both La Giulia Apartment (very cute & great location) and Medici felt like something out of a book (a Tuscan beauty). |

| It was very clean and well provisioned. | Apr 2007 |
We loved the apartment! It was perfect for us. It was very clean and well provisioned. Francesca was very heplful and friendly. We could not have expected more. I was a little worried about having only 13 gallons of hot water, but we never once ran out and it was a good experience to be reminded of how well one can get by with less! The location could not have been better and we came to love wandering the streets around the apartment. I would happily stay there again. |

| Easy access to just about everywhere | Mar 2007 |
La Giulia made our stay in Rome feel like we lived there. Its location is an easy access to just about everywhere in the historic center and since we love to walk it was perfect. I would highly recommend La Giulia to anyone wanting to stay in a 2 person apartment in Rome. |

The apartment was very nice indeed, thank you. The location is excellent, of course, and it's very clean and tidy and cosy - we had a great time and our accommodation and travel arrangements (and Francesca's efficiency) were commendable. Rome is certainly a city I could return to again and again. |

We just got home from our Italy tour and we just loved it all, but the crowning jewel was La Giulia. We had an amazing ten days in Rome and the location was fantastic. We walked all over Rome and saw so many of the beautiful sights and ate so much of the fantastic food it's hard to remember it all. Fortunately we took lots of pictures and kept a journal. Thanks for helping to make our stay so enjoyable. Francesca was very helpful and everything about the apartment was great. We have already referred many people to your website and we are already thinking about our next trip to Italy |

Rome was wonderful and your friend Francesca was a delight. We found the apartment to be superbly located and we walked everywhere with no trouble. It took awhile to get used to all the Vespas but they grew on you. Thank you so much for helping make our visit so enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Italy, and the apartments had a lot to do with it. We loved all three places [Medici, La Giulia, Casetta Bonsi] and would enthusiastically recommend them to our friends - and have! Your thoroughness really made everything very easy on us. Thanks again for all of your help. We'll be in touch the next time we go to Italy. |

Everything was amazing-- from the first moment we arrived at La Guilia and what a welcome site and warm welcome from Francesca. That apartment is so adorable and well-situated. Kudos to you for having her turn on the heat as Roma was quite chilly in the wee hours and late at night. I loved the touches of a bottle of wine, juice, digestives, crostini, etc. And that staircase is a one-of-a-kind. We LOVED Campo di Fiori area so much it seemed to take us hours to get out! |

Just wanted to write a note of thanks. We truly enjoyed your apartment. It truly was our home away from home, and we spent ample time relaxing there during the week when we were not sightseeing. The place truly was charming and it always felt like we were coming home. The location was the biggest surprise for us. We could not have asked to be in a better place. Just 5 minutes to walk to Campo De' Fiori and Piazza Navona, a few minutes more to the Pantheon, and only about 20 minutes or less to the Vatican! And whenever we didn't want to walk, the major bus routes were very, very close! What a great stay we had! Francesca was truly great! We only met her on the first day (in which she let us in even earlier than our already-early scheduled 1 PM), but she helped out extraordinarily when my luggage didn't make it to Rome with me. The man who called me from the airport didn't speak any English! And to this day, I only know a few key words in Italian. Thank God for Francesca! Again, thanks again! I'm recommending the place to whomever wants to travel to Rome. |
