Italy Perfect Classification Campo de Fiori Magic

Campo de` Fiori is one of Rome`s best-loved locations. Soak up the morning sunshine and enjoy an espresso at Caffe Farnese just around the corner from the La Giulia apartment. Or stop off at the end of a full day and enjoy an afternoon gelato or an early evening aperitif along Campo` de Fiori. It can be hard to choose from the many excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. The Campo de` Fiori morning market has a wonderful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Stop into Roscioli for prosciutto, mortadella, salami, cheese and olives.

The darling Rome vacation apartment is located on a charming, small street just off Via Giulia in a 17th century building. Perfect for people who want the conveniences of an apartment in the "centro storico" (historic center) of Rome with all major sites within walking distance.

The Campo de` Fiori is the neighborhood of Renaissance Rome where the power mongers built their palaces, such as Palazzo Farnese and Palazzo Spada. We know the importance of staying in a great location, and this part of Rome qualifies as one of the best due to its proximity to the major sites and the everyday conveniences of local restaurants, pizzerias, cafes and the Campo de` Fiori market.

Step out the door and choose between elegant antique shopping to your right half a block away on Via Giulia, or walk 2 blocks to Rome`s most famous open air market, the Campo de` Fiori, meaning "field of flowers".

Via Giulia is a beautiful street for strolling, window-shopping and people watching, as are Piazza Farnese and Campo de` Fiori. Many of the streets are named for the merchants that once populated the area: Via del Giubbonari -- the jacket makers, Via della Barchetta -- the boat builders, Via degli Specchi -- street of mirrors.

Only a few minutes walk and you`re at Piazza Navona or the Pantheon. Cross the Tiber and you`re in scenic Trastevere where some of the people look like characters from a Fellini film.

The Vatican, the Colosseum, the Forum, the Spanish Steps are reasonable walk if you want to work off that pasta and wine from the night before, or if your feet are crying for mercy, are an easy bus or cab ride.

Just a few blocks away is Largo Argentina, one of the major bus stops where there is bus transportation available all over the city.

It is on the second floor North American/first floor European, and is entered directly off the lobby of the building. Enter the apartment`s front door at lobby level and go up a steep and narrow spiral staircase, approximately 15 steps, to reach the apartment. It is a large studio-style apartment that is a comfortable pied-a-terre right in the center of this exciting neighborhood.

Step into the apartment from the staircase, the living room seating area is to your left, in front of the left set of windows facing over the street. Behind the living area, to your left, is the sleeping alcove. Another set of windows is directly in front of you, just opposite the top of the stairs. To your right is the dining area with designer lighting over the table. Just behind you, to the right, is the efficiency kitchen and the bathroom. The kitchen is best for light meal preparation, there is a two-burner electric hot plate, small refrigerator and microwave.

The apartment has two sets of windows, complete with planted flower boxes and look out onto the charming street letting light and air into the apartment. The windows are set into dramatic arched niches adding an historic architectural element to the apartment. The floors are polished terracotta tiles.

The apartment has a large, dramatic stone fireplace mantle surrounding a (non-working) fireplace between the dining area and the bathroom. The apartment furnishings mix modern furniture set against an antique backdrop, that keep the feel fresh and comfortable.

The living room area has a love seat sized sofa. Please note that it does not open up into a sofa bed and is not long enough for sleeping on. The queen bed is the only place to sleep.

The queen-sized bed in the sleeping alcove has suspended lamps on either side of the bed for reading. Cheerful linens and a soft duvet beckon for an afternoon siesta after a busy day of exploring the sites of Rome. The ceiling above the bed has beautiful exposed beams and stucco. At the foot of the bed against the wall is a closet.

The kitchen is a small efficiency-style hidden where you can fix breakfast or toss together a simple dinner from the fresh ingredients obtained that morning at the Campo de` Fiori market only a stone`s throw away. It has a 2 electric burner hotplate, an under-the-counter refrigerator, sink and microwave. The kitchen has pots, pans and dishes.

The bathroom is small but up-to-date with a fully enclosed narrow shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The shower stall is small, a limitation of the available space.

Reviews and Customer Testimonials for Italy Vacation Rental

Our Review

• One of the best locations in Rome

• Good value for such comfort and extreme convenience

• Cute romantic hideaway for couples

• Efficiency kitchen is best for light meal preparation

• This is a small apartment accessed up a narrow, spiral staircase. If you are a big person or have trouble carrying your suitcase yourself up the stairs, or like a lot of space, this is not the apartment for you. Greeter is not able to assist you with your luggage up the stairs, due to back problems. If this is an issue, either pack light or ask us to recommend a different apartment.

• Shower stall is small by North American standards, normal for Europe.

Guest Book Testimonials
The space is bright, clean and very cozy. Jul 2014

My husband and I stayed 5 days in Rome in the La Giulia apartment. This was by far the best stop on our travels simply because of the location and cleanliness of this amazing little space. We walked everywhere. It is right in the middle of everything. We went to the open market every morning and watched it transform into a restaurant and bar night spot at sun down. The apartment has a tight circular staircase to enter it, so getting large bags in would be a challenge. Pack light. The space is bright, clean and very cozy. Italy Perfect was great in making sure all my needs were met and my questions answered. We will definitely stay there the next time we're in Roma.

Perfect, Perfect Location Jul 2014

This small apartment is in a perfect location for a visit to Rome. It is close to the Vatican, Trastevere, Campo di Fiori, and shops and markets. It is meticulously clean and stylishly decorated. I would return again to stay as it provided a convenient base for my daily walks in all directions. It's proximity to Piazza Farnese made locating a cab when needed simple. If you are a medium to light packer, you will have no problem with the narrow spiral staircase. Heavy packers with big bags should be capable of carrying the bag up the stairs. I did not have a big bag, so I was fine. I stayed alone for five days and loved it. My experience with Italy Perfect was flawless. Every contact was timely and professional.

Charming apartment in a wonderful location May 2014

The apartment was ideally situated for touring Rome. It was cosy (but exactly as portrayed in the video and pictures) yet perfectly functional, and we would definitely stay again on a future visit. A gem.

Perfect Stay Feb 2014

We had a very enjoyable stay in Rome. The La Giuilia apartment was nice, clean, and in the best location we could imagine. The greeter was very polite and helpful. The apartment met our needs perfectly. We would definitely stay here again.

La Giulia Jan 2014

Our accommodations were as advertised. The apartment was wonderfully located and quiet. The materials provided by Italy Perfect were informative and most helpful. We particularly liked the list of restaurants which we used daily. Having the use of an Italian cell phone was most helpful. I had an issue with reaching the driver to take us to the airport at the end of the trip, called Lisa, and she solved the problem quickly. I would DEFINITELY use Italy Perfect again and would recommend the service to a friend. I was astonished, however, that our greeter (I think she was the owner), made no offer to help us with our bags up the difficult stairs. Though fit, we are 70 and 77. She walked behind us as we struggled with our bags and seemed oblivious to any need for a hand. The apartment was clean and adequate, but not conducive to "hanging out." There was really nowhere to sit in order to read and relax other than an uncomfortable futon-type couch. I would choose another apartment in the future.

We are pleased you found the apartment as advertised and enjoyed the wonderful location, cleanliness, Lisa's responsiveness and your recommendation to use Italy Perfect again in the future, thank you. We're sorry you overlooked the website information that is very clear that there is the just the love seat for sitting, as accurately depicted in the description, the photos and the video too, and that you anticipated that owner-greeter would help carry your luggage upstairs, even thought we explain on the La Giulia webpage that you need be prepared to carry your own luggage. Neat Place Jul 2013

My wife and I were very pleased with this property. It's not as close to Piazza Navona as I expected [8-minute walk], but all and all was an excellent choice. As walkers, we found the location quite convenient, and there are a zillion restaurants within a few blocks. We would also be happy to recommend Italy Perfect, as all arrangements were handled quite professionally.

Great apartment, terrific location, recommended Jun 2013

Great apartment for 2, terrific location. I note that a couple of concerns we noted when we stayed here 2 years ago were addressed. We recommend this property to others.

The only concern I have is the required practice of dumping our garbage in a street side trash bin outside the apartment. I find this offensive and just plain wrong.

Thank you for your repeat stays at the La Giulia apartment. Unfortunately the Rome trash system is beyond our control which requires one to walk to a dumpster to dispose of trash since trash service within the building is not provided by the government trash service. Italy Perfect

We had a wonderful stay! Jun 2013

La Giulia was perfectly situated for everything we wanted to see and do; just across the Tiber from the heart of Trastevere with Piazza Farnese and Campo Fiori around the corner, the Piazza Navona a further five minute stroll and Castle St. Angelo and the Vatican a mere 20 minutes away. The apartment itself was comfortable and cosy, a perfect place to return for a late afternoon nap before going out to choose a restaurant for dinner. If you go, you must have the cheesecake at Ar Galletto on the Piazza Farnese. It seems that Romans do not go out for breakfast, for it is difficult to find a place for coffee and a pastry before 9:00 AM. We recommend laying in tea &/or coffee, sugar, milk and cookies or pastry and eating in in the morning before hitting the cobbles.

Highly recommended!

Exceptional Experience Apr 2013

Amazing experience. Great location within walking distance of the Forum, Vatican, Piazza Navona, Trastevere, and most major sites. Close to Campo do Fior with daily vegetable and fruit market but on a quite side street in an elegant neighborhood a block from the Tiber. Many excellent restaurants nearby off the tourist beat. Small and cozy but much larger than a hotel room. Well appointed. Italy Perfect did a great job with logistics, arrangements and advice regarding car service, restaurants and guides.

The apartment was perfect for us. Nov 2012

The apartment was perfect for us. Clean, orderly and just as presented on the Italy Perfect website. Loved the location, couldn't be any better. We would definitely stay in the La Giulia apartment again and will be happy to recommend it to others. Thank you for everything.

Review of La Giulia Nov 2012

I am very happy to review the property. Overall the acommodations were okay, but did not have any charm. The location was wonderful, but the apartment was on a very busy cross street and being on the second floor was quite noisy. My friend and I loved the location and neighborhood. We walked everywhere and at the end of a busy day walked over to Campo De Fiori for dinner at a different place each evening. During the morning we would get fruit for the apt and the local grocery was near bye. Mass at St. Brigett on the corner was a treat. Pier Luigi was within walking distance, a bit pricy, but wonderful, terrific food. Recommend advance reservations for a Vatican tour and the purchase of Roma Passes. The passes really offer a lot with admissions to sites and using public transportaion. Every day was an adventure. Yes, we would recomment Italy Perfect to friends and already have. It is a shame our first choice in Rome was not available. Thank you for everything.

Great location for exploring Rome Jul 2012

The La Giulia apartment was great and my wife and I had a great time. It was nice to be able to cook our own meals from time to time and relax over some home made ice tea after an afternoon of exploring the city.

The apartment is right in the middle of Rome and we were able to easily walk to the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, or the Vatican. The nearby Campo de' Fiori and the surrounding area is filled with great restaurants and the city is magical.

There are a number of guidebooks at the apartment but we found the cards of City Walks: Rome: 50 Adventures on Foot to be really nice and helpful exploring the city for the first time. I recommend tucking a few in your pocket for whichever area of the city you are visiting that day.

Jason Martinez, Benicia, California

Excellent stay Jun 2012

A very lovely apartment, right in the middle of the medieval part of Rome. Walking distance to all the principal sights.

The only thing we didn't like was your recommendation to pay cash. Since this is the main problem of Europe today (the black economy) people should pay by card to get the money into the banking system.

The booking and contact with Italy Perfect was perfect, we definitely would recommend you to our friends.

Thank you for your nice feedback, pleased you enjoyed your stay. The recommendation to pay cash when shopping in Rome if trying to negotiate the price on a major purchase, such as expensive clothing or antiques, is so that merchants can pass along small savings in credit card fees, not to avoid taxes. Regards, Lisa

A Rave Review Mar 2012

I am just back (very reluctantly) from Rome, and wanted you to know that La Giulia more than fulfilled my expectations - it was, simply put, ideal.  This was my third visit to the city, and by far the most satisfying.  I can't wait to go back, and I will plan my dates around the availability of "my" studio.  Stupendo!

Deborah, Toronto, Canada

This is a great location to just savor Rome and to be part of the experience, rather than just a tourist. Oct 2011

This was our third stay in La Guilia. It really feels like home. With the improvements, the new shower and air conditioner it was even better. The location is just perfect, we walked to all the sites from here. Campo diFiore is just wonderful for fresh fruits and veggies every day. DaBufetto is great for pizza.

Alfredo e Ada is the best Restaurant we have been to. Via Banchi Nuovi 14, closed weekends. it is near S Angelo Bridge. Trastevere is a five minute walk, lot's of sights and good food. Piazza Navona, 10 minute walk for nightly entertainment and gelotto. This is a great location to just savor Rome and to be part of the experience, rather than just a tourist.

Bourne and Carol Rigano, Saratoga Springs, NY

Very satisfied Jul 2011

This apartment is very cute, and its air conditioning is a must in July. It's close to tourist areas, but quiet at night. The cell phone provided to avoid roaming rates also came in handy.

A few warnings: there is no laundry, and no nearby laundrymats that we could find. There is a laundry service very close, but it is expensive - about 20Eu a load - either that, or they were ripping us off, which is not uncommon for Rome. The apartment itself is very beautiful compared to other vacation rentals by owners, though a little bit low on amenities - no internet, no laundry, satellite television only has a few channels. None of these things are a problem if you are only staying a few days, but if you plan on staying longer it may be an issue. There's also no way to track your energy consumption, which may or may not be an issue if you're charged for overages.

Other issues mostly have to do with it being a vacation rental rather than a hotel - no extra towels or bedding, little to no supplies in the bathroom or kitchen. Be prepared to go shopping on your first day to get what you need.

Other than that, the service was great, location is great, Italy Perfect provides tons of useful information and recommendations (their restaurant guide is fun and useful), and the apartment is very nice. We've used several vacation rentals, and I'd recommend this apartment, especially for short stays.

Loved La Guilia Jul 2011

Italy Perfect's customer service is amazing. Lisa and team are the ideal company to rent an apartment from. They were prompt, clear and focused on providing me with excellent service. They have a nice inventory of apartments to choose from no matter your travel budget. I loved La Guilia because of the location (centrally located, safe, clean, quiet neighborhood). It is one of their smaller apartments but it was perfect for my 11 year old and I. We met several of our neighbors and local business people who were always cordial. Within a 5 minute walk, you have the most amazing restaurants to choose from (Pierluigi was our favorite, recommended by many locals and is only a 1 minute walk). Staying in the La Guilia apartment added to the charm of our Rome adventure.

Highly recommended Jun 2011

We enjoyed the super location, cozy studio/one bedroom, many inexpensive restaurants nearby (good food cheap). We'd stay there again when we return and recommend it highly.

Unbeatable location May 2011

This is an excellent studio apartment. The best aspect is the location - 2 minutes stroll to Campo del Fiori with its daytime market and its restaurants and bars. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

I would definitely recommend La Giulia to a friend Apr 2011

La Giulia is a comfortable little nest located in a charming 15-16th century part of Rome. I loved the neighborhood with Campo de Fiori so close by, and made the Campo a part of every day, whether it be for coffee, wine in the evening, or shopping for fresh produce and pasta.

I would definitely recommend La Giulia to a friend. It is quite small, and very cozy, but perhaps too small for two large people. Absolutely perfect for one person. I hope to stay there again.

A wonderful place to see historic Rome from Dec 2010

Walking distance to all the major historic sites. I highly reccomend La Giulia. We ate several meals in during our 9 day stay. Near by market and shopping had all we needed. Very comfortable. We will return to stay there again. I have reccomended it to friends. It made for a fabulous trip to ROME. Owner was available and helpful

Charming and convenient Jul 2010

My weeklong stay at La Giulia couldn't have been better. The apartment is cozy and quiet, and is a relaxing retreat from a busy day out and about beautiful Rome. The location couldn't be better, just steps away from lovely Piazza Farnese and Campo dei Fiori, both perfect for people watching over a coffee or glass of wine. Italy Perfect staff were helpful and professional. I especially appreciated the materials they sent prior to departure.

Greg, S. Korea

Great location May 2010

La Giulia is in the best location -- 2 blocks from Campo de Fiori and close to old Rome, etc. Buses are only a few blocks away. The apartment is so quiet we didn't wake up until noon one day. Check the steps carefully. We didn't have a problem, but it is a small area and a small climb up to the apartment.

Unbeatable combination of charm and location, location, location! May 2010

Fabulous gem located just two blocks from the Piazza Farnese. We did not want to be isolated in a hotel with other tourists. We pretended we lived in the Navona neighborhood for four wonderful days. The apartment was super comfortable with many modern conveniences and yet retained an old world ambience. Very romantic! The location was beyond perfect. We strolled every day over cobblestone streets surrounded by antiquity and local charm. "Our" coffee bistro was literally 10 steps away from our front door. We were also steps away from boutique shops, antiques, and several piazzas. I never wanted to leave the neighborhood. The bakeries, restaurants, music, flowers and fresh produce markets beckoned us back time and again. This apartment was an unbeatable combination of charm and location, location, location!

A Perfect Spot Jan 2010

The accommodations looked exactly like the photos on line. We loved coming "home" to our own place after a vigorous day of being out and about in Rome. We shopped each day for fresh produce, fruits and meat at the Compo di Fiori outdoor market and spent our cozy winter evenings cooking and enjoying this great apartment. The location was ideal for walking to sights, and bus and tram transportation. We would definitely stay at La Giulia again and would also recommend our friends to do so, if staying in Rome. Thank you for making it available to us.

My Husband's First Trip to Rome Dec 2009

Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world. This was my third trip to Rome so I knew the area where I wanted to stay. The little La Giulia apartment was in a perfect location, near the Tiber River and also very near the Chiesa Nuova bus stop on Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II. It was easy to hop on bus #40 to Termini and take a train to another town for a day trip, or hop on bus #64 to easily go to many attractions in Rome. Of course, walking in Rome is the best, and La Giulia provides an excellent starting point. As for the apartment itself, the extremely hot water from the hot water faucets (Do water heaters in Rome have temperature settings?) had to be regulated carefully. But generally, the apartment was fine for my husband and me, and we enjoyed our stay there. I certainly plan to call on Italy Perfect and Paris Perfect again in the future. We appreciate the great service.

Loved the bed and real coffee pot May 2009
We really enjoyed it, most of all dealing with you because of your experience. Loved the location, the bathroom not the best, but having a [loaner cell] phone was great and all your tips. Loved Rome. We hired a guide through Rick Steves. Loved the bed and real coffee pot. We will always try to go through you and your service.

Great Time May 2009
We really enjoyed our time at the La Guilia apartment. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for easy breakfast. We loved the location and walked everywhere. Wonderful greeters and lovely people. I would reccomend this apartment and the service of Italy Perfect and use them both again!

Quiet corner in perfect location Apr 2009
La Guilia was a wonderful little spot, away from the noise but a few moments to be in the wonderfully upbeat area of Piazza Farnese and Campo dei Fiori. Great people-watching. So many good pizza places. Traveling solo, it was good to feel safe, comfortable and in such close access to terrific eating spots. Piazza Navone was a neighbor and it, along with other nearly all the other sites were so easy to visit twice on foot. Never used a bus or taxi because the walking to nearly every interest was just the exercise needed after a steady diet of pizza, pasta and gelato! Apartment was comfortable and felt like home right away. The terrific Pierluigi, and Hosteria del Pesce were moments from the door.

Beautiful Apartment!! Great Location!! Mar 2009
This apartment was a dream come true. It was our first time in Rome and the location and size was just perfect for the two of us. It was very clean and we had no issues whatsoever. We were in the center of everything in the city. We walked everywhere, the Vatican, Imperial Rome, Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, etc. Everything was a short walk from this apartment. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Rome. I can't recommend ItalyPerfect and La Guilia enough!!

La Giulia - Highly Recommended Feb 2009
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay in La Giulia. The location is exceptional. The apartment was actually larger than I had anticipated. The small bathroom and shower arrangement was not an issue. Working with Lisa at Italy Perfect was a pure joy. It is a first class service. Thank You!

Nov 2008
The La Giulia apartment was a charming "home away from home"! I was very comfortable there and really appreciated the character of the neighborhood and the apartment's location--right in the heart of Rome. I loved having a space to call my own, to make meals, to spend a quiet evening reading... I felt comfortable knowing that, if a problem arose (which didn't happen), the apartment owners were more than willing to help me out. The Italy Perfect folk were also very helpful. The apartment was situated a couple blocks away from a super market (Campo dei Fiore--great fresh fruit in the mornings!) and a short walk away from Trastevere (neighborhood with lots of charm) and Giolitti's (best gelato ever!) I would definitely recommend La Giulia and Italy Perfect to anyone looking for accomodations in Rome.

When we return, we will seek out La Guilia again, without hesitation. Oct 2008
We loved La Giulia. We loved the ruby-tiled bathroom. We loved the winding wrought-iron staircase. We loved the deep window wells. We loved the location. You prepared us well. We appreciated having our train ticket in hand to Florence in advance. We appreciated the guidebooks in the flat. The only drawback, if I must list one, would be the European-style bathroom with the shower right in with the sink, but I've lived in Italy and I know that's how they mostly are. The water pressure was great and we had lots of hot water so, really, wiping off the mirror now and then is nothing to speak of. Thank you for running such a delightful flat. When we return, we will seek out La Guilia again, without hesitation. Many thanks.

Cozy, comfortable and perfectly located Apr 2008

Thank you for the excellent service you provided. We had a wonderful time in Rome. We loved the apartment; it was cozy and comfortable and perfectly located. It was an easy walk to most of the major sights or we could just hop on a bus without any problems. It was great going "home" to our "own apartment" and started to feel like the locals. Francesca was very nice and we are looking forward to returning next year.

Wonderful "little home" Mar 2008

Haven't had the chance to thank you and Francesca for the wonderful "little home" we stayed in for the week of Mar. 22-30. You're right the location was/is perfect. We walked all over (a total of 75+ miles) between our week in Paris and our week in Rome. I must say Rome was much warmer. Paris was VERY COLD & WINDY. Again, thank you for making our stay absolutely wonderful. Hopefully we'll be able to visit you next year.

Great location, elegant, and clean Feb 2008

Just a quick note to say that our recent trip to Rome was a great experience (despite mostly cloudy, drizzly skies) and the La Guilia apartment was an important part of it. It exceeded our expectations in every way -- great location, elegant, and clean. It was also nice to meet Francesca (as well as Gabriella). They were both very helpful in answering our questions and making suggestions. We look forward to our July trip to northern areas, ending with a week in your Michaela apartment in Florence.

We were so close to all the great piazzas Dec 2007

Thanks again for making our vacation to Italy wonderful. The greeter was so helpful, and words can't describe how grateful I am. La Giulia was so quaint and cosy. We had all the luxuries of hom. Also, I was impressed with the location. It was nice to see we were so close to all the great piazzas, Campo dei Fiori, and the Vatican. We will certainly be back. Thanks again!

I came to think of the area as my neighborhood Nov 2007

I had a wonderful time! I loved the apartment! So quaint and lovely. By the end of the trip, I came to think of the area as my neighborhood. I can't wait to go back!

Thank you for all your help and kind words. It's been wonderful meeting you (online). You made me feel at home.

Great to come back to our own little nest Sep 2007

We enjoyed the apartment! It was cozy, and a great neighborhood. It was great to come back to our own little nest after dinner in Campo de'Fiori or Piazza Farnese. The many guidebooks and maps in the apartment were helpful too.

Perfect location, cute apartment Aug 2007

We had a wonderful time, and especially loved staying at La Giulia. Perfect location, cute really made our holiday memorable. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends/family.

I especially loved the tile in the bathroom Jun 2007

I enjoyed everything about the apartment. Red being my favourite colour, I especially loved the tile in the bathroom! And of course the location couldn't have been better. We walked everywhere, and it was wonderful to be just around the corner from Piazza Farnese, the Campo de' Fiori. I'll certainly recommend "La Giulia" to friends.

Thank you for the wonderful insight Jun 2007

We just got back last night and after 34 nights, 4 countries, 6 cities, 3 apartments, amazing museums, culture, people, food, and the list goes on and on made it home safe & sound with memories for a at least a life time. Thank you again for all your help and the wonderful insight and information. I'll visit the web site to leave comments and send you a couple photos as well. We loved both La Giulia Apartment (very cute & great location) and Medici felt like something out of a book (a Tuscan beauty).

Michael & Cynthia Panah, Bellflower, California

It was very clean and well provisioned. Mar 2007

We loved the apartment! It was perfect for us. It was very clean and well provisioned. Francesca was very heplful and friendly. We could not have expected more. I was a little worried about having only 13 gallons of hot water, but we never once ran out and it was a good experience to be reminded of how well one can get by with less! The location could not have been better and we came to love wandering the streets around the apartment. I would happily stay there again.

Bill Quarre, Palo Alto, California

Easy access to just about everywhere Feb 2007

La Giulia made our stay in Rome feel like we lived there. Its location is an easy access to just about everywhere in the historic center and since we love to walk it was perfect. I would highly recommend La Giulia to anyone wanting to stay in a 2 person apartment in Rome.

S. Cole, San Francisco, California

Our travel arrangements were commendable Jan 2007

The apartment was very nice indeed, thank you. The location is excellent, of course, and it's very clean and tidy and cosy - we had a great time and our accommodation and travel arrangements (and Francesca's efficiency) were commendable. Rome is certainly a city I could return to again and again.

Aug 2006

We just got home from our Italy tour and we just loved it all, but the crowning jewel was La Giulia. We had an amazing ten days in Rome and the location was fantastic. We walked all over Rome and saw so many of the beautiful sights and ate so much of the fantastic food it's hard to remember it all. Fortunately we took lots of pictures and kept a journal. Thanks for helping to make our stay so enjoyable. Francesca was very helpful and everything about the apartment was great. We have already referred many people to your website and we are already thinking about our next trip to Italy

Rome was wonderful and your friend Francesca was a delight. We found the apartment to be superbly located and we walked everywhere with no trouble. It took awhile to get used to all the Vespas but they grew on you. Thank you so much for helping make our visit so enjoyable. We are passing your info on to others so don't be surprised if you have more Edmonton visitors.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Italy, and the apartments had a lot to do with it. We loved all three places [Medici, La Giulia, Casetta Bonsi] and would enthusiastically recommend them to our friends - and have! Your thoroughness really made everything very easy on us. Thanks again for all of your help. We'll be in touch the next time we go to Italy.

Dec 2005

Everything was amazing-- from the first moment we arrived at La Guilia and what a welcome site and warm welcome from Francesca. That apartment is so adorable and well-situated. Kudos to you for having her turn on the heat as Roma was quite chilly in the wee hours and late at night. I loved the touches of a bottle of wine, juice, digestives, crostini, etc. And that staircase is a one-of-a-kind. We LOVED Campo di Fiori area so much it seemed to take us hours to get out!

Oct 2005

Just wanted to write a note of thanks. We truly enjoyed your apartment. It truly was our home away from home, and we spent ample time relaxing there during the week when we were not sightseeing. The place truly was charming and it always felt like we were coming home. The location was the biggest surprise for us. We could not have asked to be in a better place. Just 5 minutes to walk to Campo De' Fiori and Piazza Navona, a few minutes more to the Pantheon, and only about 20 minutes or less to the Vatican! And whenever we didn't want to walk, the major bus routes were very, very close! What a great stay we had! Francesca was truly great! We only met her on the first day (in which she let us in even earlier than our already-early scheduled 1 PM), but she helped out extraordinarily when my luggage didn't make it to Rome with me. The man who called me from the airport didn't speak any English! And to this day, I only know a few key words in Italian. Thank God for Francesca! Again, thanks again! I'm recommending the place to whomever wants to travel to Rome.

Dec 2004

We wanted to let you know that we had two wonderful stays in the apartments you set up for us in Rome and in Florence [La Gilia & Prisco]. We have stayed in several apartments in Italy and things can sometimes be tenuous. We did not have any difficulties with your apartments and the arrangements went like clockwork. Thank you for all of your assistance and the professional manner in which everything has been handled. Again, thank you for everything and we greatly appreciate all you did to make our trip a success.

Oct 2004

We enjoyed our stay in the via Giulia apartment. The street is very quiet, but also extremely conveniently located. We felt like the elegant Piazza Farnese was our own front yard! It was great to have our own cooking area. While we didn't make any elaborate meals, Francesca had provided everything we needed if we had wanted to. Every morning we walked over to the Campo di Fiore (2 minutes walk at most) and bought fresh bread from one of two wonderful bakeries and cheese, meat and fruit from the vendors in the square and brought them back to the apartment for a leisurely breakfast. There is a grocery store near by for necessities - like water and wine!

A. Paul, Ashland, Virginia

Oct 2004

We had a great time at La Giulia. We particularly enjoyed the brightness and light in the apartment -- not commonplace, as you well know, on those narrow, old Roman vias. The neighborhood feel to the street and the immediate area was a real plus. We look forward to recommending La Giulia to fellow travelers and hope to use your other Italian rentals in the future.

R. Lucier, San Francisco, California

Sep 2004

I spent a wonderful week at La Giulia! The apartment is exactly as it looks on the website and adorable! It's a terrific location. I felt like I was living in Rome! The bed is comfortable and the linens nice. The little touches of decorative pillows, the color scheme, the pretty throw on the bed, the faux flowers, etc. all make it more special. The kitchen works handily for snacks and simple meals. The bath is tiny but so attractive, and you have great towels. The water heater is a bit of a challenge, but one figures out the shower is always a quickie. Having the TV is nice, but having the CD player was fantastic as was having the reading lamps. Thanks for providing guidebooks even though I have my own. Thanks a million for your wonderful place, your professional handling of everything and for helping make a much needed vacation a success! I loved having my little home in Rome.

S. McCreight, New York, New York

La Guilia is a charming little apartment that has been designed with care: the wall hangings, the tiles perched on the fireplace, even the ironwork steps all possess a delightful aesthetic. I especially like the window-seats and could imagine sitting there reading, but with a frenetic Roman schedule there is no time for that!
