We have to use superlatives when it comes to the lovely Angelina apartment. The roof top terrace and balcony allow you to enjoy the wonderful weather of Rome and timeless views of the Eternal City. Everything has been considered for lifetime memories of Rome.
The Spanish Steps location is so popular because it is very central. The graceful steps and the piazza are beautiful albeit usually bustling with visitors. From this location many of the important sites of Rome are within a 15 minute walking radius. Fine shops and restaurants abound in this district. Transportation is also easy from this home ba
The handsome marble-lined lobby leads right to a modern elevator that takes you to the top floor. There are no steps to get to the elevator or to the apartment. There is, however, a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop terrace.
Across the large living and dining area of the apartment are three French doors that open onto a full balcony with views of rooftops and the church across the street and you can look down into the street, too.
If you need to keep connected, you will find a landline telephone as well as a high speed internet connection.
The living room is big enough for entertaining. It offers a sofa, a love seat and three arm chairs. The colors are quiet and rich. An oriental carpet echoes the reds in a large antique tapestry fr
The balcony has a table and a series of terra cotta planters all along the outside of the rail. You can enjoy a view of the facade of S. Andrea delle Frate church across the street, the little piazza below with a newsstand and the parade of people traveling to and from Piazza di Spagna.
From the entryway, a narrow, spiral stair case rises sixteen steps to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace has a rush mat cover to reduce the heat of the sun and terra cotta pots with green and flowering plants depending on the season. It is open on three sides, the fourth being painted with a unobtrusive fresco of the Roman skyline. Why focus on the fresco, when the real thing is just beyond? You can see St Peter's dome, the Pantheon, the presidential palace, and the top of the spires on nearby Trinita di Monti church at the top of the Spanish Steps and more. A cafe table and four chairs are enough for all guests. Also, there is a stone sink and a small refrigerator. Keep your cocktail items where you need them!
The bedroom is well-sized, holding a queen sized bed, night stands, a television set and two closets. The en-suite bathroom is very nicely done offering a shower, toilet, bidet and a sink in marble. Next to the bathroom is a small room with more wonderful views. It houses the washing machine hidden inside a cabinet. It also contains a comfortable chair for a quiet place to read.
The sleeping loft is accessed by a pretty staircase that rises from the living room. There is just room for a French twin bed and cabinet on top of which is another television set. There is room to stand up and walk from one end of the bed to the other (i.e. the loft is larger than the bed itself).
