15th century apartment building in historic center with sites at your doorstep.

The Strozzi Florence apartment is located in the most upscale area of the historic center of Florence, an easy walk to Piazza della Repubblica, the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. Step out the door of the apartment building and find “miracle mile” Via Tornabuoni just half-a-block away, lined with wonderful shops, luxury hotels and designer boutiques. The apartment gets its name from Palazzo Strozzi, one block away, which is widely regarded as the finest example of Renaissance architecture in Florence. This comfortable and conveniently located apartment offers an excellent historic location, modern conveniences, hard-to-find center of town quiet for sleeping, and a bevy of wonderful museums, tempting take-away gourmet food purveyors, restaurants, and shopping all within steps of the apartment. In the morning stop in at the bakery that is next door to the apartment building and pick out your morning bread and pastries. In the afternoon you might find yourself tempted by the delicious array of delicate cookies for tea time or dessert. Only a few blocks away is a large news agent that has newspapers and magazines in every language. At night, enjoy a glass of wine and relax a bit before you head out to one of the many excellent neighborhood restaurants. On the same block as the apartment are several good cafes and restaurants, making it so convenient if your feet are crying for mercy after a busy day filled with sightseeing.

Location

Neighborhood abounds with historic sites, restaurants, shops. The apartment building is located at the intersection of Via della Spada and Via della Vigna Nuova where they form a triangle off Via Tornabuoni. Around 1740 (recent by Italian standards!) Pietro Leopoldo, Grand Duke of Tuscany, decided to rename the streets of Florence. At that time the name Spada, meaning "sword" was chosen for this street. Some city historians believe that the name was selected since the straight direction of the street somewhat resembles "una spada" -- that is, a sword. Via Spada is located where the first circle of Roman walls surrounded the city, as the ancient walls ran along what is now Via Tornabuoni. Historians believe that Via Spada was the continuation, from east to west, of the ancient Roman road which includes Borgo degli Albizi, Via del Corso and Via Strozzi.

The Gucci store is directly behind the apartment building, the Robert Cavalli boutique is right outside your front door, the Gianfranco Ferre store is at the end of the block, the Tod & Hogan store is around the corner, Salvatore Ferragamo's flagship store and shoe museum are only a 2-minute walk away.

Exterior

This Florence apartment complements our popular Prisco and Michaela Florence vacation apartments which are located in the same building. It is located on the third floor of a Reniassance building with elevator, off a gracious private hallway. It’s a nice retreat from the bustling streets of central Florence and gives you a glimpse into the daily lives of Florentines who live and work in the historic center.

For larger parties in need of multiple apartments it can be booked, if desired, in conjunction with our Florence Prisco and Michaela vacation apartments, making it convenient so that familes and friends can be together yet each have their own private apartment.

Interior

The apartment was remodeled in late 2006. It has a mixture of new furniture and some antiques. The apartment faces the internal courtyard of the building and has an internal-facing terrace off the living room. The small terrace doesn’t provide any scenic views since it faces the backs of the neighboring apartments, other service terraces and laundry lines. On the other hand, it provides a sunny, peaceful retreat in the midst of a busy small city and expands the living room when the French doors are open.

The living room has a sofabed that converts to two twin beds.  There is an efficiency kitchen for preparing simple meals. When the doors to the kitchenette are closed it looks like an antique armoire in the corner of the living room. The kitchen is adequate for light meal preparation. In addition to the under-counter refrigerator a second, larger refrigerator is located in the closet area that leads to the bathroom.

The bedroom is small but comfortable with two twin beds which can be made up as a queen bed, upon request, and a set of double windows overlooking the internal courtyard. The dressing room area that leads from the bedroom to the bathroom has large, floor-to-ceiling storage closets and a full-length mirror.

The white-tiled bathroom has a good-sized shower, washing machine and French doors that open to a second small internal terrace which is perfect for hanging laundry.

GREAT LOCATION!! Dec 2009

We loved our visit to Florence and it was made even more enjoyable because the Strozzi was in the middle of everything. We could walk to everything and the nearby restaurants were great! The owners were so sweet and helpful and made us feel right at home. Would stay there again!

A wonderful stay in Florence Nov 2009

My daughter and I spent a wonderful week in Florence and our stay in the Strozzi apartment made is a comfortable one. It was nice to have a living area and separate bedroom with spacious bathroom and even a dressing area. Strozzi faces an inner courtyard which is quieter than facing the street. There were a couple of evenings, when people staying across the courtyard from us played their music very loudly but it really didn't bother us since we liked that kind of music!

We felt very secure at Strozzi knowing that we were in a building with an outside locking door, down a hall with its own locking door and on the third floor (U.S.). The elevator came in handy when we came and went with our luggage, but other days we used the stairs and convinced ourselves that we were walking off all of the great food we were eating. The apartment is very centrally located and we walked to everything we wanted to see with no problem. We took advantage of the use of the mobile phone and it worked well for our needs.

There were only a few small problems we encountered. There are three computers in the shared area, however only one was able to get internet access. The other two seemed to need reconfiguring. Also, we could not get the printer to work when we wanted to print out boarding passes. The other small issue was with the kitchenette. Instead of a kitchen, Strozzi has a four-burner stove, sink and small fridge located in the living area in a large armoire-like cabinet. The two back burners didn't work and neither did the fridge. There is however a fridge located in the dressing area that did work. If you intend to do any meal preperation at all, the cooking facilities at Strozzi may not be enough. There was no work surface area and it was a bit tricky to juggle various kitchen chores at once.

Over all, we had a fantastic visit and would definitely use Italy Perfect again. The comfort and convenience of a centrally located apartment beats out a hotel every time.

[Sorry this guest had a problem with the printer in the little computer room, it has been fixed. Our personal review of Strozzi states "Kitchenette is suited to light meal preparation since there is no counter space". Sorry that there was a misunderstanding during the check in process about the stove & fridge, possibly due to a language barrier. The small under-counter fridge can be switched on if guests need more refrigerator space then what is provided in the full refrigerator with freezer in the dressing area. All 4 stove burners work but we advise against switching on all 4 at once since it can cause the circuit breaker to trip. Lisa, Italy Perfect]

The location and apartment itself couldn't have been better. Oct 2009

The location and apartment itself couldn't have been better. The 3 of us were quite comfortable, and the second bathroom down the hall was very handy. We appreciated having the internet and wireless available. The location was great, right in the heart of the city center. The only drawback was the noise. We kept our windows open because it was warm, rather than use the air conditioning. The noise late at night from the other apartments was significant. Bring your earplugs or shut the doors! We were met arrival and well oriented. I had private Italian lessons for a week at Istituto Italiano nearby and it was great. [In addition to the bathroom off the Strozzi bedroom there is an extra bathroom for the exclusive use of Strozzi or Prisco apartment guests down a private hall. You are likely to hear the neighbors when guests & the other building residents have their windows open, as you would anywhere in the world where there is close quarters, an adjustment for travelers who are accustomed to living in private, standalone houses. Strozzi Apartment Florence Aug 2009

This apartment was in an excellent location in Florence. We were extremely grateful to Miki and Franco who helped us out immeasurably with our lost luggage - which required waiting for delivery over three different days and too many phone calls. They were very very sweet, warm, comforting and had a great sense of humour - even when helping us struggle with a phone card problem. They seem to love what they do, and we were lucky to have their help.

Miki and Franco also smoothed our stay with respect to tips re travel- bus to Siena, train to Lucca - and offered lots of helpful information about restaurants. The trattoria we frequented the most was the the Antique Carrosseria which had great pizza for the kids and overall delicious meals. On the other side of the river - a great family friendly pizzeria was Dante's and the best gelato we had in Florence - on the corner , at the river, contemporary design, but can't remember the name. Also have to mention the best meal we had - truly superb - also a short walk from the apartment at Gustovino.

The apartment was certainly big enough for a family of four, the air conditioning not nearly as expensive as we thought and the building, of course, very quiet. The cafe at the ground level two doors down was excellent for your morning macchiato. We did shop for a few things nearby - but favoured a likely all to expensive fruit martket in between the two big piazzas.

All in all a great 7 days, and without Miki and Franco we would have not been able to enjoy most of it, nor see nearly as much art! Thanks again.

Wonderful apartment in Florence Jul 2009

The Strozzi apartment was a great place to stay in Florence. Conveniently located near the train and bus stations, we found it to be a good location from which to make our daily excursions. The accommodations were comfortable and met our needs for a place to collapse after a day of touring Florence. Our hosts were quite accommodating and even arranged for our cab on the day of our departure.

Now the bad news. When we arrived we had no idea of where we could find a grocery store to purchase food. This information was not provided, but would have been very helpful if it had been. After walking around a few days, we eventually located one, where we purchased some water. However, this is one vital piece of information Italy Perfect should provide to future guests.

[We will try harder to point out to guests to read the information we provide in every guests' confirmation which lists two alimentari (small mom-and-pop style grocers) which are located within one block of the Strozzi apartment. Also, in the Italy Perfect Florence Information guide that was included with their confirmation there is a listing for a larger supermarket nearby. We recommend guests contact their greeter with this type of question as it would have been readily answered. Lisa, Italy Perfect]

The apartment was clean, organized and beautiful Apr 2009

Our vacation to Florence was wonderful. Just like in the movies. Everything was just as you had written in your packet. The apartment was clean, organized and beautiful. What fun we had! I know our travel plans in the future will include your services.

Fantastic Stay Apr 2009

We had the opportunity to stay at the Strozzi last month. What a wonderful apartment in a wonderful location. I can't think of a single thing that I would change about the accommodations. The restaurant suggestions by Italy Perfect were very helpful, I would recommend you try any of those on the list. We were never disappointed. The service at the Strozzi was excellent, very professional and very helpful. What a fantastic stay in Florence!

Wonderful accommodation! Mar 2009

Italy Perfect made planning our trip to Italy much easier! I always got prompt answers to questions, the info sent to us was very helpful and both accommodations worked out great for us! We also stayed in a pensione, a 5 star hotel and a 2 star hotel in various Italian cities. By far our favorite places to stay were the two apts. we rented ; the Strozzi in Florence and the Via Veneto in Rome.Having quiet, peaceful, but pretty, places to stay where we could spread out and relax after long days of walking, eating and sightseeing was great. Having windows you could open at night was wonderful for me. The washer in both places cut down on clothes we needed to bring (leaving much more room in our suitcases for gifts we brought back).I read the other reviews and went to several places they recommended. Our recommendations in Florence include: For dinner: Trattoria Sostanza, Via del Porcellana 25/r, 39-055-212-691. Reservations needed- order the chicken, beef and artichoke omelet. Also Trattoria 4 Leoni, Via del Vellutini 1/r, Piazza della Passera, 39-055-218-562, reservations recommended. Order the gnocchi. Find Grom for gelato and anywhere in Florence for the best cappuccino in the world!

The accommodations were amazing. Feb 2009

The accommodations were amazing. Great location and setting. My brother and I probably enjoyed sightseeing and sleeping in the most (we are university students). As previously stated, the location and neighborhood were wonderful and there were really no problems or drawbacks whatsoever. The landlord/owner was very nice and helpful with all of our questions and had great patience and understanding despite our lack of ability to speak or understand most of the Italian language. Thank you very much.

Strozzi Apartment in Firenze is Wonderful Jan 2009

We are two middle aged ladies who are dedicated art lovers and museum goers. We spent a week in the Strozzi apartment in late October, 2008 and loved every minute. The location is in a safe, upscale, conveniently situated neighborhood, with every needed service nearby. Our expectations were exceeded, and we plan to stay in Strozzi again within a year or two.Our dealings with Italy Perfect were exceptional. Every detail was handled professionally and to our satisfaction. We plan to use this company whenever possible, and recommend Italy Perfect without hesitation to all travelers.

Loved it! Jan 2009

My mom and I were returning to Firenze to visit my little sister in the last few weeks of her semester abroad. I too had lived in Firenze over 10 years ago, so I knew the area that apartment would be located in. As the taxi pulled up I was very excited to see that the apartment was not only wonderfully located but it was right down the street from one of my favorite places to eat (La Spada=astounding food!) Miki and Franco were waiting for us with open arms, and a bottle of Vin Santo. They explained were everything was located and left us feeling cared for and well taken care of. The computer room was a huge plus as well as the loaner cell phone. The apartment itself was wonderfully laid out and had an abundance of cooking supplies. Though it would have been nice to have a DVD player in the unit. We did enjoy flipping through the satellite TV channels. It was great being able to wake up make a cup of coffee and just relax in the living room. My mom enjoyed meeting our neighbors and exchanging stories of their travels. The location of the apartment was great as well seeing that it is just a 5 minute walk to the bus or train station. I plan on returning to Italy later this year and I will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you for an marvelous time!

Wonderful 2 weeks in Florence Dec 2008

We spent the first 2 weeks of November in the Strozzi apartment and loved it. Miki and Franco were delightful and very helpful. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable, and we liked that it is part of a private corridor with computer room and other amenities. The location is very central--we walked everywhere. We did cook simple meals, although since there is no counter space it required some juggling. The Mercato Centrale is a fabulous source of food and shopping there was a highlight of our trip. Thank you, Lisa, for answering all of my questions so quickly, and thanks to Miki and Franco for being perfect hosts.

Stozzi Perfect Nov 2008

Overall we were very pleased with Strozzi. The location was great; we loved the neighborhood. The use of the computer, internet, and printer was a bonus that made the trip so much easier. All the recommendations for nearby restaurants and shops were right on. Service was very good. No complaints at all. Appreciated having a lift, washing machine and bidet, TV, lots of room. And the welcome basket with a bottle of wine that we drank out on the terrace was a very nice touch.

The apartment was perfect in every way. Sep 2008

We had a WONDERFUL time in Florence. The apartment was perfect in every way-very comfortable, cozy, clean, and well located. Miki and Franco were very gracious and informative. Mary and I toured the city for all 5 days and wish we would have been able to stay another week or two. You and Italy Perfect are to be congratulated on how well you prepare your guests for their upcoming vacations. We will definitely use you and properties when we head to Rome and Paris in the future. Thank you for everything.

Thank you for facilitating our accomodations Jun 2008

We just want to thank you for facilitating our accomodation rentals in Rome [Veneto] and Florence [Strozzi]. Thank you also for the reccomendation for Venice. The apartments were great as were their hosts. We found that the best way to see Rome, Florence and Venice; like many others before us, is to simply get lost walking (but carry a good map, just in case). We figured if you just walk in the general direction of where you want to go, you'll eventually end up at your destination. Plus, you find so many interesting things along the way!

Helen Leung, San Francisco

We will definitely want to stay there again May 2008

We had a fabulous time in Florence and the apartment was perfect! We couldn't have asked for better hosts - Miki and Franco were delightful! We will definitely want to stay there again on future trips to Italy and will spread the word about your service to our friends and family. Thank you so much for all the information and advice - it was very helpful and helped quell some of our jitters about traveling to Italy for the first time.

Shower was large and had good water flow Apr 2008

Our stay at the Strozzi apartment was most enjoyable. We stayed 8 nights but reserved an extra night at the beginning to ensure we could get in and take a nap after arriving from the States early in the morning. Calling from the Florence airport was easy and communicating with Franco on the phone was not a problem as his English was fine for telling him we had arrived and would be taking a taxi to the apartment shortly. Both Miki and Franco were extremely nice and showed us the whole apartment on our arrival. The apartment was extremely clean and well maintained. We didn't do any cooking but we were shown a good selection of equipment for cooking in the small kitchen armoire. The bed was comfortable (something I find rare in Italy) and the extra pillows available were a big bonus. The shower was large and had good water flow with plenty of hot water. Laundry detergent, hand soap, bath gel and shampoo were available. A complementary bottle of Chianti and water were also provided. The location is great - just two blocks from the Piazza della Repubblica and within walking distance from all major sights in Florence. The apartment was quiet with the exception of a neighbor who watched TV past midnight several nights. You could hear the sound in the bathroom. I didn't notice it at all in the bedroom but my husband who's more sensitive to sound at night did. Still, we would stay here again. Having internet access in the shared computer room was great as we could check the weather forecasts daily. We also took advantage of the loaner cell phone multiple times. Thanks Lisa for accurately describing the apartment and responding so quickly to all of our questions. The extra information you provided on Florence and general travel in Italy was also very good. We hope to have the opportunity to stay in the Stozzi again.

Like we were living in Florence Apr 2008

Just want to send a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit to Florence. The apartment made us feel , if only briefly, like we were living in Florence and not merely visitors. Miki and her husband could not have been kinder to us upon arrival and were so thoughtful remembering to call for a cab for our early morning departure. Please send our regards to Miki and family and tell her how much we enjoyed staying at the Strozzi and I would most certainly return and recommend it to my family and friends. Thanks so much. Arrevederci!

Had a wonderful stay at the Strozzi apartment Mar 2008

Thank you Lisa! We had a wonderful stay at the Strozzi apartment. Miki was delightful to deal with. Having the computer room available was a big plus! Of course, the location is fantastic and we loved having our morning espresso at the beautiful Caffe Giacosa right across the street. Thank you so much for all your help and the great info provided to us before our trip! We'll definitely stay there again if we ever get back to Florence.

We were only women and we felt very safe Jan 2008

We had a nice time, despite 7 days of rain each morning. The accomodations were as you described and the location was tremendous. Miki's family history was fun to learn about. She was adorable and wanted to speak English and with my little knowledge of Italian we communicated pretty well. Franco did a great job of describing how to use everything and does have a decent command of the English language. They truly know what hospitality is. The accommodations were superb. The location was tremendous as you descibe on your website. We were able to walk everywhere and did not need to take a cab anywhere. We walked so much, even though there was quite a bit of rain, but the location made the weather not interrupt our visit. It was truly a comfort to have the doors and system of entering and exiting the apartments be so secure. We were only women and we felt very safe. When we did have the rain it was so convenient to have the Osteria de Bella Donna, Trattoria Trebbie and La Spada within a block or so. Each one had excellent food. The location of the little market just outside the door helped us when we wanted to just stay in. I appreciate your instruction sheet so much and it really helped us in so many ways. The selection of books that are in the apartment are also very helpful, I added a couple for the library for other guests use. The driver you recommened was excellent and communicates well in English and is very internet savy. Upon our arrival, as you instructed, we called Miki from the drivers phone. When we were walking in the door, they were there and Franco help us with our luggage. They showed us into the apartment. We entered the hallway/ foyer and were moved by the appointments and beautifully painted walls and cabinets. The Strozzi apartment was perfect for my daughter and I...it was amazingly quiet. The first day we arrived my daughter and I slept thru until 1pm without even knowing it. Truthfully, have never done that in Europe, but it help us adjust to the time change very quickly. The large bathroom was very updated and adequate. The towel warmers are tied into the radiator somehow and are truly a delight as they dry the towels when the heat comes on.

Coffee, milk, & all the flatware we could need Nov 2007

We had a wonderful time! The apartment is in an excellent location. We also loved being able to check in with friends and family online without having to find and pay for Internet cafes. We were very appreciative of all of the items available for use - a hairdryer, washing machine and drying racks, coffee and milk, and all the flatware and silverware we could need. Even a small library of books for our reading pleasure! We were delighted with the accommodations, and particularly considering that the weekly cost came in considerably below what we had paid for relatively small hotels in Venice and Palermo. We will definitely be recommending your business to friends who may be traveling abroad.

It was more spacious than i had expected Sep 2007

I was very pleased with the Strozzi apartment. It was more spacious than I had expected, and while occasionally there was noise during the day (from what I took to be a restaurant or bar, which could be heard in the courtyard below), it was quite peaceful. The longest hike I had was to the Standa supermarket, but that was only about ten minutes' walk. Everything else was deceptively close--so close that sometimes I'd pass the street I wanted to turn on to because I guessed it to be further away than it was. There certainly was no need to take a bus at all. I look forward to returning to the apartment on a future visit.

Loved having everyone in the same building Sep 2007

All three apartments in Florence (Prisco, Michaela and Strozzi) worked out great. We loved having everyone in the same building (and hallway). That was perfect. The units were exactly as advertised and they were in a GREAT location in Florence. We liked it a lot and would definitely stay there again if we came back to Florence in the future. Two of our favorite restaurants were a stone's throw away -- Il Latini and Osteria Bella Donne.

Franco, Miki and Marco are so lovely! Sep 2007

Easy to stop back for an hour and just rest Sep 2007

We had a great time in Florence, partly because of the advantage of having the apartment to come back to. It was in such a great location it was easy to stop back for an hour and just rest before going back out. We would definitely book again next time we are in Florence. Thank Miki for us for greeting us on our arrival and thank you for your services.

Within walking distance to many amazing sites Aug 2007

We felt 'at home' in Italy with the spacious apartments [Strozzi in Florence, Tiberio in Rome] and gracious greeters. We were very fortunate to be within walking distance to many of the amazing sites that Italy has to offer. Italy Perfect also provided many helpful tips (nearby markets, restaurants, shopping, etc). We had a wonderful experience and look forward to our next trip to Italy.

Very clean & spacious enough for the 4 of us Jul 2007

The apartments were wonderful [Rome Veneto & Florence Strozzi]. We loved the Veneto neighborhood. Lotti at the Lotti cafe became very near to us. Both apartments were very clean and spacious enough for the four of us. I would recommend your agency to anyone seeking apartments in Italy. We will miss many of the wonderful people we met, including Miki. She was a doll. Thank you for such wonderful service.

It felt like i was in my grandma's house Jun 2007

I can't put into words how wonderful our stay was. The accommodations were beautiful, BUT my most favorite part was interacting with Franco and Miki. It felt like I was in my Grandma's house and that was my absolute favorite place when I was growing up; the only thing missing was the smell of garlic gliding through the air. I really want to go back to Firenze and bring my husband and daughter and the first place I will look is the Strozzi apartment. Usually when I go on my vacation, I'm ready to go home as the end of the vacation approaches, but, as the end of my stay neared, my heart grew heavier and still today I find myself lonely for the Strozzi, Franco, Miki, and the sounds of Firenze. I hope to return soon.

Marco was very helpful with the computer. May 2007

It has been a month since we have been back from Florence, and I just wanted to let you know that my mom and I really enjoyed the Strozzi apartment. It is beautifully appointed, and we felt like real Florentines living in the heart of the City. Miki is a very wonderful person and her son Marco was very helpful with the computer. You might want to warn your guests that the internal courtyard is not always quiet, but we just considered it part of the fun and atmosphere. I will definitely use you again next time I am in Italy! Thanks again.

We ate on our patio every morning Apr 2007

Our apartment was in the perfect location - close to the S.M.N. train station and within walking distance of the central market, museums and the Duomo. We were welcomed like old friends by Miki and Franco. We would get pastries and juice for breakfast, Don made coffee (after Miki showed him how) and we ate on our patio every morning. We used the internet frequently, it was great to have that available for emailing, checking the weather forecast, etc. If we return to Florence, we would certainly be back to the Strozzi apartment. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends.

Provided us with any information we needed Apr 2007

First of all, I would like to say that we were very impressed with you and the great job you did preparing us for the apartment and Florence. Thematerials you sent were extremely comprehensive and they really helped us in Florence and with our continued travel in Italy. Because you were so professional, I felt really confident about our accommodations and knew the apartment and the surrounding area would be exactly as you described. Miki and her husband were just wonderful; very gracious people with a wonderful sense of humor. They too, were extremely professional, provided us with any and all information we needed to feel right at home in the apartment. The location of the apartment could not have been better if we had spent a full-year researching options. I could not have been more impressed with the VERY central location. I was amazed to find out how close the Uffizi Museum, the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Garden were to our home base. Even though we were very centrally located, the apartment itself was very quiet. Beyond being quiet, the apartment was lovely; not too fancy, but very tasteful and comfortable. The complementary bottle of wine upon arrival was a very nice touch too. I would recommend to Miki that she put a full-size sleep sofa in the living room. The half sofa is only really suitable for a child [Sofa bed makes up into two independent twin beds - lb]. Beyond that, I would have to say that the beds were not really comfortable. But, I quickly learned that this is the trend in Italy and I don't think I had one good night's sleep for the entire trip. [Beds are standard Italian style frame with mattress, no box spring - lb] In my opinion, the beds were a small sacrifice in exchange for the great location and the quality of the accommodations. In a nutshell, I loved our hosts, the apartment, the location of the apartment and Florence overall. Lisa, we had a wonderful time and I really appreciate your help. You did a great job for us.

The washer was especially useful Feb 2007

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay there very much. The apartment was very comfortable -- the washer was especially useful, but the whole place was well appointed -- and the location was perfect, especially with our two children, since we could walk everywhere. Thanks again. We would recommend the Strozzi to anyone.

The apartment made it very hard to return home Feb 2007

Just wanted to say thank you for making all the arrangements. My mother and I had an amazing time in Florence and the apartment made it very hard to return home [to California]! Miki and Franco were both so nice and helpful. We really had a fabulous time and I am glad everything worked out so well. Many thanks.

Dec 2006

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the Strozzi apartment in Florence. The location is in the heartbeat of Florence. We really felt like we were locals. I would not do it any other way from now on. Apartment living while on vacation is the way to go. I also want to mention that some of the best restaurants are right outside the door. Thank you.

Nov 2006

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed the apartment the last week of November of 2006. The accomodations were just perfect and the location was wonderful. We loved our little neighborhood; the laundry lady that knew Miki and Franco, the bar crew downstairs, the staff at La Spada Restaurant, all made us feel very much at home.Thank you for a wonderful assignment. We look forward to future stays.

Oct 2006

We had a really wonderful time in Florence - thank you! Miki and Franco were lovely - one day she made coffee for us and sat outside with us eating little cakes and chatting about her family, then gave us a tour of the big apartment which was between lets. The apartment was great, the books left around on various artists an the city were interesting and to be welcomed with a bottle of wine and water in the fridge...some butter and jam for breakfast - all was a nice touch. We brought loo [toilet] paper with us but it was reassuring to find a couple of rolls there and some laundry soap too and some hand soap - all the things its hard to carry around with you bit irksome if the shops are shut when you arrive in the flat. The internet access was fantastic for us both. The apartment was clean and comfortable.
