The location is excellent, right on Piazza Antinori. There is bound to be some traffic noise in this bustling district, but your 4th floor (American) location will mitigate that. And, after all, you are in a city. This also means that there is a shop for each and everything you need or want in the neighborhood. This quarter of Florence has been home to important Florentine families since the mid 1600s.

The building has retained the clean and simple architecture of the Renaissance period when it was first built. Renovated over the centuries, the building acquired its present appearance in the mid 1700s. The building has a doorman during business hours.

The entry hall opens into the dining room and then an open Tuscan brick archway leads into the living room that is beatifully decorated with rust and gold on a foundation of green. There are two sofas and four armchairs, so room for all guests and company. Over the largest sofa is a pretty trompe l'oeil Tuscan landscape. Guests can't wait to enjoy the large (270 square feet) private terrace where you can enjoy eating al fresco a joy of Italy. The view is of adjoining rooftops. There is an awning that can be cranked out to shade warm days.

The master-bedroom has a king-size bed, period furniture and a large walk-in closet; adjacent to the bedroom is the bathroom with tub and separate shower.

The two further bedrooms both have twin beds that can be combined, on request, to form a king sized bed. Each room has a spacious wardrobe and pretty painted furniture as well as handsome fabrics. There are two more bathrooms one with tub and another with shower.

The kitchen is spacious and complete with all modern appliances.

7 night minimum booking period. Weekend and holiday arrivals extra fee.

The prices include booking fee, credit card fees, wire fees, keyholder fee, wifi, final cleaning and taxes. Not included are utilities charged for amount used. Giovanna Apartment: These terms supersede all other terms. Guest pays for electricity, gas, telephone. Final cleaning is included, more frequent cleaning is at extra charge of €35 for first two hours, each add’l hour €15. Cleaning the entire Giovanna apartment will probably take more than 2 hours. Not included is a flat fee for water €42 as well as utilities and phone charges that will depend on your usage. Cancellation: upon payment of the deposit, 35% is non refundable, for cancellations within 90 days of arrival, above terms apply. Arrivals can be at any time, but outside of office hours M-F 9-5 and Italian national holidays, there is a €50 charge payable to the greeter. Advance arrangements must be made for greetings outside of office hours. Security deposit of €500 should be settled on arrival by cash or credit card. From that will be deducted utilities and other charges.
