apartment in the heart of Rome. Borghese museums, Via Veneto cafes,
Spanish Steps nearby.
Living room is nicely furnished.
Attractive decorative touches make it a comfy, quiet retreat from
the bustle of Rome.

The sofabed makes into two twins beds.
Window faces inner courtyard, providing quiet for sleeping.
Imagine having a cup of tea while
writing postcards to friends and family back home.
Queen bed in quiet bedroom is
comfortable. Nightstands with good lighting, large closet make this
bedroom very functional.
Fully equipped kitchen gets good
natural light from the large window. Table has seating for
four.
Prepare savory meals at home. Two
grocery stores are within two blocks of the Veneto apartment.
The hallway off the living room leads
to the kitchen and then onto the bathroom and the bedroom is at the
end.
Layout works well since living room
can be closed off from hallway for privacy.
Bathroom with washer and dryer, fully
enclosed shower, sink and toilet. Few Rome vacation apartments have
a clothes dryer!

of the hall on the right.

just steps away.

Around the corner is a favorite
buffet-style restaurant perfect for tired travelers and families
children since service is quick.
Ancient Roman walls around the corner,
just beyond is the Borghese Garden.
Roman bust decorates the walls of the
Porta Pinciano.
This is the top of the famous Via
Veneto two blocks from the apartment. n the background are the
green Borghese Gardens.
Top of the Via Veneto is aptly named
Largo Federico Fellini after the director who memorialized Via
Veneto in "La Dolce Vita".
Famous Harry's Bar at the top of Via
Veneto is just one of the many outdoor cafes that line the Via
Veneto. Good for celebrity-spotting.
Luisa Spagnoli flashhip store is a
well known line of women's fashion, just two blocks from the Veneto
apartment.

Cafes line the wide sidewalks of Via
Veneto.
Luxury hotels line the Via Veneto. The
American Embassy is just a few blocks down the street.
Ancient Porta Pinciana became
prominent when Via Veneto was built to give access to Villa
Borghese, royal Borghese family estate.
Nearly same perspective as the
previous photo, this is etching is from the 1700's. Road is now a
busy traffic thoroughfare.
An oasis in the busy center of Rome,
the tree lined paths of the Borghese Gardens are tranquil and
beautiful.
To the left are the buildings of the
Via Veneto. Just two blocks from the apartment you can walk or jog
in the Borghese Gardens.
Borghese Gardens stroll towards the
famous Villa Giulia museum.
Shady streets it the peaceful Borghese
Gardens provide a perspective on Rome that many visitors miss
unless they explore the gardens.
The Villa Borghese, once the home of
the ruling Borghese family, is now one of Rome's best-loved small
museums.
Top of the Via Veneto, just two blocks
from the apartment is the famous Roman walls of Porta Pinciana.
Doney Cafe was THE place to be seen in
"Dolce Vita" 60's. Paparazzi photos of bygone glitterati on display
in the windows.
Escaltors to subway and short cut
tunnel to the Spanish Steps. No more trudging uphill from the
Spanish Steps to the Via Veneto.
Signs direct pedestrians to the
underground walkway to the Spanish Steps and Borghese Gardens.
Newstand near apartment carries a good
assortment of English language newspapers. Convenient for postcards
or a map.
