We loved the Greci apartment. Location was fantastic, the apartment was lovely.  It WAS perfect!  Thank you for all your help.

I'll tell you that the Rome apartment is quite a unique rental. We really enjoyed the location being so close to Piazza Popolo and on that small  street without autos. The church view was spectacular no matter what time of day. We were entertained by the Rome music academy students but it wasn't always the serene experience of hearing Alessia and her friends who are primary players in the Florence are Opera/Symphony [reference to Medici apartment in Florence where upstairs neighbors are classical musicians - lb]. I would reinforce to guests (as we discussed) that the apartment is a private residence, and filled with antiques. Some guests would not belong there, and may not find it casual enough to 'kick back'.  However, we loved it!

As you know, the Vatican is also a day in itself. As I understood from some people, we were there on a 'light' day, and the crowd of people was insane. I'd suggest getting there early and expecting long waits and long lines for everything. You may want to remind your guests that there is a 'scam' at the Vatican where a "guide" tells people that they had cancellations in their "tours" and they can get them in without the long wait and provide a 'private tour'. We were approached with the offer, and passed, but we did witness several groups of tourists 'breaking the line' and heard they were being chastised by Vatican security after their "guide" had sent them to the front of the lines. I will probably never go back to tour the Vatican, but it was an important place to see simply for its importance and history.

The Galleria Borghese
http://www.galleriaborghese.it/borghese/en/edefault.htm  was my personal favorite place to visit in Rome.  I highly advise the audio tour to know the interesting history of the sculptures. Without our walks up into the Borghese Gardens area several times, we would have become a little weary of 'city' touring. It was refreshing up there. Just near the area of the park where the kids play, there is a restaurant called Casa Valadier. It is excellent with good service, beautiful city-views, and great food. Although it is a little bit high-priced, it is  worth every penny.

Since we had local friends 'in the know', we had some behind the scenes tours also- one included Rome's Teatro dell'Opera. (Now we will have to go back to hear a performance.) It is quite a spectacular place with some
really interesting history and even some ghost stories. I guess a tour requires several levels of permission and a scheduled appointment time.

We had a wonderful time and the keystone of our visit was the apartment. It was superb and exceeded all our expectations! Both the owner and greeter were great to work with, very helpful and accommodating. I will tell you that Jacob is a prize worth capturing. He is a polite, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful young man and was a godsend to us - rookies in Rome! The apt was wonderful. As you know, it was unseasonably hot while we were there and the air conditioning was a much appreciated after being out all day in the city heat. The electricity allocation seemed to be adequate...we went over by about 30 euros which was fine....we were careful but ran it a lot! The apt is beautifully and completely furnished with every convenience. We would rent it again in a minute! Your guides and handouts were exceptionally done. They really helped us with the ins and outs of visiting Rome for the first time. The information was useful, accurate and appropriate. Thank you for taking the time to write them. Your attention to detail was very helpful. I cannot think of one "constructive criticism" I can provide to help you improve your services. Thanks again for helping us have a wonderful vacation!
