meals "at home". Little door in the radiator was originally for
keeping food warm during meals.
Sip a cup of espresso when you awake
in the romantic bedroom. High ceilings and moudlings give the
bedroom a palatial feel.
Spacious bedroom includes a chaise
longe that converts into twin bed as an additional sleeping
space.
Buona notte...and sweet dreams in the
canopied queen size bed, good reading lamps and fluffy duvet.
The versatile chaise longue in the
bedroom made up as a twin bed is a cozy spot.
The chaise longue in the corner of the
bedroom can be made into a fifth bed.
The large bedroom has a beautiful
antique writing table in front of the windows and a small seating
area as well.
The sofa opens out into a queen size
bed. Bathroom door is to right.
Glossy modern blue glass countertop in
bathroom. Marble floors, heated towel racks, halogen lighting and
tub with shower.
Ingenious shower enclosure fold back
when not in use. Magnetic shower doors latch together when
showering.

apartments.
Wide private hall leads to the Prisco,
Strozzi Michaela apartments. Antiques passed down through the
family for many generations.

view. Strozzi entrance opposite Prisco. Michaela apartment is to
left at end of a smaller hallway.

apartments are on 3rd floor. Restaurant just downstairs where you
see the white awning.

living room, kitchen. Wires across photo are put up in December for
Christmas sparkle.
Second building on left is home to
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartments on Via della Spada, off
fashion mecca Via Tornabuoni.
Neighborhood bakery, Forno Top, a few
doors down from the apartment. Feast your eyes on rich pastries,
artisan breads, delicate cookies.
Colorful fruits, nuts and homemade
jams at the Mercato Centrale.
Street below is part of original Roman
road that traversed Florence from east to west. Niche was a
religious shrine for pilgrims.
Creative car parking in the
neighborhood where space is at a premium!
Designer shops fill the neighborhood.
The Gianfranco Ferre store is directly to the left of the apartment
building entrance.
Palm trees line terrace on the second
floor of the Gianfranco Ferre store which is next door to the
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartments.
Enjoy people-watching at the outdoor
cafe that adjoins the Roberto Cavalli boutique. The cafe is well
known for excellent chocolate candy.
Around the corner is Procacci
established in 1885, famous for truffle sandwiches, many other food
specialities and wine.
Eye candy at the Furla store
nearby.
Florentines use bikes to get around
the city as the streets are closed to through traffic except
delivery vehicles, taxis and residents.
The chic Roberto Cavalli boutique is
just a few blocks away as is the Ferragamo store and museum.
MaxMara store a few blocks away is
best known for fabulous cashmere coats, and has a large selection
of beautiful women's fashions.
Profumeria Inglese, established in
1843, where chemist Henry Roberts invented talcum powder! Now it's
a Hogan and Tod store.
Palazzo Strozzi one block from Prisco,
Srozzi & Michaela apartments, regarded as most beautiful
Renaissance building in Florence.
Pop in for a coffee or a chocolate
treat at Cafe Giacosa across the street and next to the Roberto
Cavalli store.
Popular Il Latini restaurant only a
few blocks from the apartment. At night the crowds are thick
outside awaiting a much-coveted table.
Taken at street level, this is the
corner you can see when you look down from the windows of the
apartment.
The Gucci shop directly behind the
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartment building. Quite handy if
you need a little retail therapy!
The Museo Marini is directly behind
the Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartment building.
The apartment building is just two
doors beyond this corner. The fashionable Via Tornabuoni is the
place to "see and be seen".
The beautiful Santa Maria Novella
church is nearby. The main Florence train station is just behind
this famous piazza.
Florence's renowned indoor market, the
Mercato Centrale, is a feast for the eyes. It's about a 15 minute
walk from the apartment.
