Florence Apartment Prisco Tour

converts to a queen size bed. Large windows overlook the charming
Via Spada three floors below.

Buon giorno Firenze! Throw open the
windows and linger over breakfast as you plan the day ahead. Fresh
bread is right down the street at the neighborhood bakery.
Sparkling new kitchen with
top-of-the-line cabinets, a beautiful gas English-style range with
grill, large oven, full size refrigerator, dishwasher.
The dining table expands for
entertaining "at home". See the little door in the radiator? It was
originally for keeping food warm during meals.
Sip a cup of espresso when you awake
in the romantic bedroom. The beautiful high ceilings and warm peach
accent colors give the bedroom a palatial feel.
The spacious bedroom has many nice
antiques and a seating area by the window that includes a chaise
longe that converts into twin bed as an additional sleeping
space.
Buona notte...and sweet dreams in the
queen size bed with a brand new mattress, good reading lamps and
fluffy duvet.

bedroom made up as a twin bed is a cozy spot.
The chaise longue in the corner of the
bedroom can be made into a fifth bed.
The large bedroom has a beautiful
antique writing table in front of the windows and a small seating
area as well.
The sofa opens out into a queen size
bed. The sofabed is from a top quality Milan furniture
manufacturer.
Glossy modern blue glass countertop in
the brand new bathroom that features marble floors, heated towel
racks, halogen lighting and tub with shower.
Ingenious shower enclosure lets you
fold the shower doors flush to the wall when not in use. Magnetic
shower doors latch together when showering.

welcome to guests of the Prisco & Michaela apartments.
The large private third floor entrance
hall leads to the Prisco & Michaela apartments. The antique
furnishings have been passed down through the family for many
generations.
The hallway continues, lined with
choice pieces of antique furniture. The front door to the Prisco
apartment is to the right of the small two-drawer end table. The
Michaela apartment is to the left at the end of a smaller
hallway.
This is the Prisco & Michaela
apartment building. The apartments are on the 3rd floor. There is a
handy restaurant just downstairs where you see the white awning -
in the summer they have shaded tables outside. A bookstore is next
door.
The three arched windows with the open
shutters are the Prisco apartment's living roon and kitchen. The
wires you see across the photo are Christmas lights that twinkle
above the street in December.
The second building on the left is
where the Prisco & Michaela Florence apartments are located.
It's on Via della Spada, a narrow one-way street off the fashion
mecca, Via Tornabuoni.
The neighborhood bakery, Forno Top, is
only a few doors down from the apartment building. Feast your eyes
on rich pastries, artisan breads and delicate cookies.
Colorful fruits, nuts and homemade
jams at the Mercato Centrale.
People-watching out the Prisco
Florence apartment windows. The street is part of the original
Roman road that traversed Florence from east to west. The niche at
the fork in the road was a religious shrine for pilgrims.
Creative car parking in the
neighborhood where space is at a premium!
Designer shops fill the neighborhood.
The Gianfranco Ferre store is directly to the left of the apartment
building entrance.
Palm trees line the terrace on the
second floor of the Gianfranco Ferre store which is next door to
the Prisco & Michaela apartments.
Enjoy people-watching at the outdoor
cafe that adjoins the Roberto Cavalli boutique. The cafe is well
known for excellent chocolate candy.
Around the corner is Procacci
established in 1885, famous for truffle sandwiches, many other food
specialities and wine.
Eye candy at the Furla store near the
apartment.
Florentines use bikes to get around
the city as the streets are closed to through traffic except
delivery vehicles, taxis and residents.
The chic Roberto Cavalli boutique is
across the street.
MaxMara store is 1 block away on Via
Tornabuoni. MaxMara is best known for fabulous cashmere coats, and
has a large selection of beautiful women's fashions.
Nearby is the original Profumeria
Inglese, established in 1843, is where chemist Henry Roberts
invented talcum powder! Now it's a Hogan and Tod shoe and handbag
store.
Palazzo Strozzi is considered to be
the most beautiful Renaissance building in Florence. It is one
block from the Prisco & Michaela apartments.
Pop in for a coffee or a chocolate
treat at Cafe Giacosa across the street and next to the Roberto
Cavalli store.
Popular Il Latini restaurant only a
few blocks from the apartment. At night the crowds are thick
outside awaiting a much-coveted table.
Taken at street level, this is the
corner you can see when you look down from the windows of the
apartment. Locals use bicycles to get around.
The Gucci shop is directly behind the
Prisco & Michaela Florence apartment building. Quite handy if
you need a little retail therapy!
The Museo Marini is directly behind
the Prisco & Michaela apartment building.
The apartment building is just two
doors beyond this corner. The fashionable Via Tornabuoni is the
place to "see and be seen".
The beautiful Santa Maria Novella
church is nearby. The main Florence train station is just behind
this famous piazza.
Florence's renowned indoor market, the
Mercato Centrale, is a feast for the eyes. It's about a 15 minute
walk from the apartment.
