Florence Apartment Michaela Tour

Michaela is great little studio if you
want more then a hotel room can offer. Comfy seating area for
relaxing.
There is a large built-in closet
beyond the sofa. Just beyond the closet is the bathroom.
The sofa opens out into a large queen
size bed (3 inches wider then a U.S. queen).
Modern dining table and chairs are
convenient for meals at home or as a work surface. The large window
fills the apartment with light.
Behind the dining table is a buffet
that holds dishes and serving pieces. To the left behind the closed
white cabinets is the kitchenette.
Breakfast at home is easy as there is
an excellent bakery on the same block.
The efficiency kitchen has a
two-burner stove and an under-the-counter refrigerator.
If your feet are too tired to venture
out for dinner at night, enjoy dinner at home.
The bathroom has halogen lighting,
heated towel racks in winter, good storage space, hairdryer and a
large mirror.
The bathroom has ample proportions,
with plenty of space to move around.
Fully enclosed shower and plenty of
hot water and water pressure. Infinite water heater system provides
instant hot water.
Window overlooks the quiet inner
courtyard where neighbors hang their clothes to dry on internal
terraces. Practical but not scenic.
Second building on left is home to
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartments on Via della Spada, off
fashion mecca Via Tornabuoni.
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela
apartments are on 3rd floor. Restaurant just downstairs where you
see the white awning.
The chic Roberto Cavalli boutique is
just a few blocks away as is the Ferragamo store and museum.
Neighborhood bakery, Forno Top, a few
doors down from the apartment. Feast your eyes on rich pastries,
artisan breads, delicate cookies.
Around the corner is Procacci
established in 1885, famous for truffle sandwiches, many other food
specialities and wine.
Colorful fruits, nuts and homemade
jams at the Mercato Centrale.
Profumeria Inglese, established in
1843, where chemist Henry Roberts invented talcum powder! Now it's
a Hogan and Tod store.
MaxMara store a few blocks away is
best known for fabulous cashmere coats, and has a large selection
of beautiful women's fashions.
The Gucci shop directly behind the
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartment building. Quite handy if
you need a little retail therapy!
The apartment building is just two
doors beyond this corner. The fashionable Via Tornabuoni is the
place to "see and be seen".
Enjoy people-watching at the outdoor
cafe that adjoins the Roberto Cavalli boutique. The cafe is well
known for excellent chocolate candy.
Palazzo Strozzi one block from Prisco,
Srozzi & Michaela apartments, regarded as most beautiful
Renaissance building in Florence.
Florentines use bikes to get around
the city as the streets are closed to through traffic except
delivery vehicles, taxis and residents.
The beautiful Santa Maria Novella
church is nearby. The main Florence train station is just behind
this famous piazza.
The freshest meats, eggs and salame
from one of the butcher stalls at Florence's Mercato Centrale.
Florence's renowned indoor market, the
Mercato Centrale, is a feast for the eyes. It's about a 15 minute
walk from the apartment.
Popular Il Latini restaurant only a
few blocks from the apartment. At night the crowds are thick
outside awaiting a much-coveted table.
The Museo Marini is directly behind
the Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartment building.
Eye candy at the Furla store
nearby.
Wide private hall leads to the Prisco,
Strozzi Michaela apartments. Antiques passed down through the
family for many generations.
Front door to Prisco on right out of
view. Strozzi entrance opposite Prisco. Michaela apartment is to
left at end of a smaller hallway.
Palm trees line terrace on the second
floor of the Gianfranco Ferre store which is next door to the
Prisco, Strozzi & Michaela apartments.
Designer shops fill the neighborhood.
The Gianfranco Ferre store is directly to the left of the apartment
building entrance.
Pop in for a coffee or a chocolate
treat at Cafe Giacosa across the street and next to the Roberto
Cavalli store.
