Elegance, taste, amenities and views abound in this five star apartment that is a two minute walk to the Spanish Steps.

We have to use superlatives when it comes to the lovely Angelina apartment. The roof top terrace and balcony allow you to enjoy the timeless views of the Eternal City. Everything has been considered for lifetime memories of Rome.

Location

The Spanish Steps location is so popular because it is very central. The graceful steps and the piazza are beautiful albeit usually bustling with visitors. From this location many of the important sites of Rome are within a 15 minute walking radius. Fine shops and restaurants abound in this district. Transportation is also easy from this home base. This street is closed to all but essential traffic; add the top floor location and street noise is not an issue.

Exterior

The handsome marble-lined lobby leads right to a modern elevator that takes you to the top floor. There are no steps to get to the elevator or to the apartment. There is, however, a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop terrace.

Interior

Across the large living and dining area of the apartment are three French doors that open onto a full balcony with views of rooftops and the church across the street and you can look down into the street, too.

The living room is big enough for entertaining. It offers a sofa, a love seat and three arm chairs. The colors are quiet and rich. An oriental carpet echoes the reds in a large antique tapestry framed on the wall. Antique end tables, desk and chairs are upstaged by an impressive art deco cabinet. There are many fine pieces of art to appreciate. A corner cabinet hides a television set that has Satellite reception for English-language news. It also has a DVD player and a small selection of first-run movies (in Italian, but just put on English sub-titles). The dining table seats four and is just outside the small but complete kitchen. In the kitchen modern cabinetry holds everything you need for cooking and serving. There is a large refrigerator/freezer, drip and Italian coffee makers, microwave, gas stove top and oven.

The balcony has a table and a series of terra cotta planters all along the outside of the rail. You can enjoy a view of the facade of S. Andrea delle Frate church across the street, the little piazza below with a newsstand and the parade of people traveling to and from Piazza di Spagna.

From the entryway, a narrow, spiral stair case rises sixteen steps to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace has a rush mat cover to reduce the heat of the sun and terra cotta pots with green and flowering plants depending on the season. It is open on three sides, the fourth being painted with a unobtrusive fresco of the Roman skyline. Why focus on the fresco, when the real thing is just beyond? You can see St Peter's dome, the Pantheon, the presidential palace, and the top of the spires on nearby Trinita di Monti church at the top of the Spanish Steps and more. A cafe table and four chairs are enough for all guests. Also, there is a stone sink and a small refrigerator. Keep your cocktail items where you need them!

The bedroom is well-sized, holding a queen sized bed, night stands, a television set and two closets. The en-suite bathroom is very nicely done offering a shower, toilet, bidet and a sink in marble. Next to the bathroom is a small room with more wonderful views. It houses the washing machine hidden inside a cabinet. It also contains a comfortable chair for a quiet place to read.

The sleeping loft is accessed by a pretty staircase that rises from the living room. There is just room for a French twin bed and cabinet on top of which is another television set. There is room to stand up and walk from one end of the bed to the other (i.e. the loft is larger than the bed itself).

Everything about Angelina was as expected or better Apr 2012

We returned from Rome last evening.  I wanted to let you know how great the place was.  As mentioned by the many comments, Elvi is just a fantastic person.  She got us settled in to the apt, and took us on a walk before we had a chance to let jet lag settle in.  Everything about Angelina was as we expected or better.  We walked all over Rome all week and saw everything we wanted to see, and then some! We really appreciated the restaurant recommendations.  A few times we went away from the list, we had some bad experiences.  A few places to add:  Pizza Forum is near the Colosseum (serves wood fired true Neopolitan style pizza...the best!!), and Gelateria Della Palma (150 flavors made daily...we went 5 times, it was that good). We'll look forward to our next trip with you!

Angelina Jan 2012

Second stay at this apartment and fourth with Italy Perfect. Everything was fine, as always. The apartment has been freshly painted. Ate so much (as usual) could not possibly do much justice to the enormous chocolate covered creme-filled panettone that was left for me. Appreciated the various beverages in the fridge. Used the washer again-- very easy to use, if you follow the instructions. The bedroom is very quiet. From the terrace watched an increasingly frustrated young man let the air out of someone's tires-- car had been parked in his spot. The newsagent by the church has an amusing poem posted in Roman dialect warning evening revelers not to use his kiosk as a bathroom. Area is convenient, plenty of places to eat, a supermarket two minutes away. Plenty of everything-- except time.

Fond memories of breakfast and pre dinner drinks on the balcony Oct 2011

Angelina did not disappoint.  We will over winter on fond memories of breakfast and pre dinner drinks on the balcony admiring Sant’Andrea and leisurely lunches on the roof top terrace. We have some feedback which I hope will be helpful to you and future clients.  We do think you need to manage clients’ expectations about the effectiveness of the air conditioning which did not cope with the continuing high temperatures during our stay.  Your literature describes this [the weather] as ‘wonderful’. I guess you are aware of the limitations of this installation hence the welcome provision of fans, so our observation is only about managing expectations. I think clients would appreciate better provision of ‘everyday’ crockery, we are sure others would share our reservations about using the china! Our thanks to Elvi who was very helpful coming to collect us from San Silvestro on our arrival which was the closest Stefano’s driver could get to the apartment due to road closure for a Vogue fashion show on the Spanish Steps.  She also ensured that two lift breakdowns were sorted in very quick time despite one of these requiring a Sunday engineer visit. Thanks to all for a delightful holiday. We have promised ourselves a return visit, so expect to hear from us again!

[Note from Italy Perfect to all guests: No Italian air conditioning system works well enough for visitors accustomed to cooler climates or American A/C, thus the supplemental fans. We do encourage guests to check the historical weather temperatures provided under the green Locale tab for every property location before booking so that they know what to expect. Thank you too for the crockery feedback, the owner likes to treat guests to the luxury of fine china, a small pleasure that most guests enjoy! Unfortunately there isn't sufficient cupboard space to provide both china and everyday crockery.  Lisa - Italy Perfect]

Angelina is a Dream! Jul 2011

This apartment was amazing: centrally located between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, exquisitely appointed, even more beautiful in person than the website pictures indicated, with every possible need taken care of. We were greeted by Elvie, the house keeper, who made us "Italian" coffee and stocked the kitchen with snacks to get us started. She also took us on a thorough tour of the neighborhood, showing us the grocery store down the street and recommending economical shopping and restaurant options. We loved the rooftop garden and the efficient air conditioner. In the heat of July it was a perfect, romantic retreat! We would return to Angelina in a minute. We would definitely recommend Italy Perfect to friends, and have in fact done so already.

Incredibly Charming apartment Jul 2011

The angelina apartment is charming in so many ways! The apartment was absolutely perfect for our party of three, in so many ways. The location was simply tremendous. A few streets to the Spanish Steps in one direction, a few more to the Trevi Fountain in the other, and so much else within walking distance I don't know where to begin. It made roaming around and then finding your way home a very easy task. Comfortably decorated, with a fabulous rooftop deck as well as lovely terrace (wave hi to the people across the way, they are very nice). The rooftop deck is so wonderfully peaceful, it is quite an oasis amidst the hustle of bustle of Rome. It was a hundred times better than any hotel. Instructions on how to play a DVD didn't work, and a note to American travelers -- our DVDs don't usually work in foreign DVD players so bring a portable if you have younger children. We ate tremendously well everywhere, and people were incredibly gracious. If you are shopping at the grocery store around the corner be sure to bring your own grocery bags or they charge you. Overall, would most definitely recommend it very highly. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We had used Paris Perfect in the past and were extremely pleased with our experience. We were surprised to learn that the owners of Paris Perfect and Italy Perfect are sisters. We stayed in the Angelina, which was in a fabulous location a few blocks from the Spanish Steps. It is a great area in itself and is readily accessible to most parts of the city. If you haven't stayed in luxury apartments in the past, you should carefully consider this option. There is so much more room to relax than a typical hotel and it is so nice to have breakfast in the apartment than going to a hotel dining room. The local foods and wines are great for consuming at the apartment prior to going to dinner. The price is comparable to a nice hotel. I would definitely recommend you staying at one of the wonderful apartments represented or owned by Italy Perfect.

The 'Angelina' made our vacation!! May 2011

My husband and I loved the 'Angelina" it was everything the pictures and video promised. I can not stress enough...location, location, location. We were a few blocks from the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, and steps away from cafes, restuarants, shops, and a local market. We could have gone no more than a few blocks in any direction and been satisfied. The apartment was literally turn-key, too. It was stocked with everything we needed including umbrella's, AC adapters, extra linens and towels, coffee filters, etc, etc.

Elvi greeted us when we arrived, and though we were completely jet-lagged you couldn't help but be touched by her kindness. She went to the market before our arrival and stocked our fridge with milk, fruit and bottled water. And our cupboard with a few local treats. What a sweetheart, Thank you Elvi.

After a day of sightseeing my husband and I looked forward to heading back to the apartment, first we stopped at our local market to pick up a bottle of wine and whatever snacks looked good at the time, we spent hours relaxing on the balcony and roof top terrace.

Thank you to Pat and the Italy Perfect team.

To those of you considering the Angelina...book it with with confidence, it is a jewel!

This is the only apartment I want to stay in Roma. Apr 2011

This is the only apartment I want to stay in Roma. It is central location. Close to the Piazza Di Spana.  This kitchen is very small but you can cook. The living room is noisy in the evenings if the window is open. It Rome and the central so you get used to it. The location it is worth it. The patio up stairs is very small but great for having coffee or a glass of wine at night.

Perfect stay in Rome Apr 2011

The Angelina apartment in Rome exceeded all of our expectations! The apartment was beautiful, quiet, comfortable and in a perfect location for exploring Rome. We ate in small local trattorias and restaurants all over Rome which were an easy walk from the apartment. We ate at Gino, Antica Hosteria Da Angelina, Al Ragno D'oro Da Marco E Fabio, Fiachetteria Marini just to name a few. All great. Had a drink at the Hassler, explored the museums inside the Borghese Gardens. We had a three hour tour of the Vatican through Presto Tours. Ask for Sarah May. Great guide! She is from San Diego. She is also a Sommelier and we went on a wine tour with her as well. We had our wine from our Vineyard in California and we were able to share! We would highly recommend this apartment for the outstanding views, professional service from Italy Perfect, location and comfort. Thank you Italy Perfect for helping to make our stay in Rome ....What can I say but "Perfect".

ANGELINA Feb 2011

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Angelina. Our host Elvi couldn't have been a more pleasant person to greet us on our first day and on her subsequent visits. The refrigerator was stocked with welcoming foods and beverages. Even though the apartment was in the center of Rome it was very quiet and around the corner from our Language School, ITALIAIDEA. We found a Pastificio shop on Via Della Croce 8 where they cut to order our fresh pasta each night. Italy Perfect was very helpful in suggesting the right size apartment for us depending on the length of our stay. I have already given the website to friends looking to rent in Rome.

Cozy Pied a Terre in Heart of Rome Jan 2011

We spent a week between Christmas and New Year at angelina. The email communication prior to arrival was great. Our greeter was there just when she said she would be, and the apartment was impeccable; also stocked with many unexpected treats. There is a lovely view from the living room and the roof terrace. Beds very comfortable. Living room couches a bit on the small side (love seats) but fine. Kitchen small by american standards but well equipped, certainly fine for making simple meals. Great supermarket just a few doors away. The location was fantastic -- two blocks from Trevi Fountain in one direction and Spanish Steps in the other. Easy to get taxis in the next piazza, also a metro line right there. Despite the very central location the apartment was amazingly quiet; even on New Years Eve we heard almost no street noise. The elevator mechanism is right outside the unit and we did hear that at times, but this was not a major issue. All in all we were very pleased with the apartment and the service. The place is very elegant and really gives you the experience of living in the heart of Rome.

Terraced Rome Dec 2010

My second stay at a Perfect Italy property. Seamless arrival. Elvi, the greeter, was very friendly and helpful. The company really provides you with all the information you need. The apartment is quiet and very comfortable. The view over the rooftops of Rome is enjoyable by day and by night. from the upper terrrace, you can pick out the top of the Quirinale, the clock at Montecitorio (I think) St. Peter's in the distance, Trinita dei Monti and more. Despite being on a narrow street with lots of foot traffic, you really are not disturbed at night at all. The kitchen is small, but even a hapless cook like me managed to cook dinner at home twice-- a welcome thing after a day trip to Florence to see the Bronzino exhibition (you still have time to see it!). The Despar supermarket right around the corner has whatever you need and of course there are plenty of other small alimentari around to buy more. More ambitious cooking is certainly feasible. Internet connection was fine. There is a taxi stand about 5 minutes walk at San Silvestro, plus buses. The subway is about 10 minutes (you do not need it that much anyway). There are more buses on Via Tritone, around the corner. Rome is a walking city anyway, and you really are ideally located. Yes, it is uphill to the Borghese, but you need to burn off all that pasta and pizza and it is downhill on the way back! The washing machine worked perfectly. You do not need to lug your copy of Food Wine Rome-- there is one on top of the washing machine, along with some other guidebooks. I am certain I will use this company again for extended stays in Rome or elsewhere in Italy. They have put a great deal of effort into anticipating the needs of travellers.

Just right! Nov 2010

Your driver Stefano greets you at the airport and wisks you into the heart of the Eternal City.  You arrive at the Angelina and meet your greeter Elvi who provides a detailed tour of the apartment as well as a stroll around the neighborhood for orientation.  Now you’re ready for a great Roman holiday!
The apartment is bright yet quiet. The roomy open-air balcony keeps you in touch with the sights and sounds of the street below.  The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, linens, etc. are all quite nice and comfortable.
Now, down to the streets of Rome!  You’re half way between Fontana di Trevi and Piazza di Spagna, in a district featuring great restaurants and fashion shops.  Most of the noteworthy Roman sites, parks, piazzas and museums are within walking distance.  The Metro stop two blocks away takes you to the further stops (St. Peters, Colosseum, etc.) but you decide to walk back later so as not to miss the fun of the streets!
Via Sant’Andrea della Fratte features a grocery store, several great caffe stops, and the nice Trattoria Sant’Andrea right across the street.
Thanks to Italy Perfect for helping us pull together this great Roman adventure.  Just right!

Italy Perfect was Perfection Nov 2010

We gave our son and his new wife a trip to Rome for their honeymoon. The whole experience of booking through Italy Perfect was amazing.I can't say enough about the service. The arrangements were lovely and detailed. Lots of information was given ahead of time so when the new couple arrived, they knew what to expect.Transportation had been arranged for them from the airport and Elvi the housekeeper met them on arrival. They formed a warm relationship with Elvi and couldn't believe how attentive she was to all their needs.

They told me that the apartment was roomy and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. They loved the balcony and rooftop terrace! Had their meals outside most days. From the apartment, they were able to walk to all major attractions and they also told me that the neighbourhood was just lovely where the apartment was located.

We are already thinking of a trip back, perhaps for the whole family, and I would definitely book through Italy Perfect again! It was a 6 star experience!

Wonderful Accomodations Nov 2010

We found Angelina apartment to be everything we were hoping. The pictures accurately show the apartment. It is very clean. We absolutely loved the balcony and french doors off the main living room. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. We walked everywhere - the Colosseum, the Vatican, Campo de Fiori, Pantheon, Piazza Novona and obviously the Spanish Steps. The apartment is very well located. We also enjoyed the neighborhood and got to know the owners of the Trattoria across the street. We would (and will) gladly stay here again. We also want to add that Pat at Italy Perfect is very, very helpful and a delight to work with. AND our greeter, Elvi, was so friendly, so accomodating and really helped us feel right at home immediately. Thank you, Italy Perfect!

ANGELINA Nov 2010

I thought the location and the Apartment were wonderful. 1 minute from the Spanish Steps, 5 minutes to the Trevia Fountain. Near many great restaurants and shops all within a 5 minute walking distance. Elvie the housekeeper was sweet.

Only drawback was Italy Perfect's recommendation for the driver, he tried to rip us off every time we used him, raised his quoted prices after dropping us off, refused to give change, even tried to rip our college daughter out of 20 Euro, good thing she is smart!! However from the management service to the location, this Apartment is great and we would definitely use it again!

[We are so glad you enjoyed the apartment and our service. We checked with the driver and think there was a misunderstanding as to charges. He will try to be more clear about those in the future. I know that if the change is small such as a Euro or less, Italians usually let the driver keep it as a small tip. For your daughter, in particular, he waited from 11:30pm to 1:20am for her and there is a charge for waiting as well as a charge for night transportation, that she was obviously not aware of. If you love culture, shopping, and gelato, this is the best location in Rome for you. Aug 2010

My friend and I (two professional women) enjoyed our thirteen-day stay at the Angelina in every way.  Perfect location, perfect apartment--everything worked perfectly, and we never had a single problem with any thing in the apartment.  We never encountered another person in our time there (except for Elvi, the housekeeper, when she met us and when she came to clean the second week).  The apartment was absolutely quiet (and safe) at all times and absolutely spotless.  The elevator and air conditioning were both blessings in the Roman heat.

We reveled in the rooftop terrace--watching the sun set over St. Peter's dome on the horizon to the west and the moon rise over the Quirinale in the east.

Being able to walk everywhere in the centro storico from the apartment is a joy. We were able to have a caffe latte and a cornneto for breakfast at the friendly bar several doors down the street and the barristas knew our order by the second day and would begin preparing the latte as soon as we stepped inside.  Then a museum, a leisurely lunch, a gelato, a nap, shopping for shoes, a Campari and soda, a leisurely dinner watching the sun set and the moon rise and a restful and quiet night's sleep.

If you love culture, shopping, and gelato, this is the best location in Rome for you.

Pat at Italy Perfect was a pleasure to work with--knowledgeable, experienced and professional--with a wry sense of humor.

Rome with a view Aug 2010

My stay at the angelina apartment in Rome was perfect! It was beatifully furnished with all amenities including housekeeper who came once a week and on call if needed. The location was great - could walk to most places. It was wonderful to have a balcony overlooking the lovely church of San andrea della Frate plus a roof top terrace to watch the sunsets over Rome. Renting through Perfect Italy also made a difference - they provided so much helpful information already counting the days when I can return!

Angelina Apartment Jul 2010

We liked the Angelina apartment and the location very much. I liked the light in the apartment and the balcony. The furnishings were lovely and with a comfortable bed. Our son liked the little alcove sleeping area. (the television did not work up there however).

We enjoyed having the upper patio to watch the City at night. Your service was great in terms of our greeter and having some milk and fruit provided was a nice touch that we appreciated very much.

A problem for us was that in all of the information about the apartment it was stated that there was a working computer. As a result, we did not bring our laptop computer which we would have done had we known that there was no longer a computer provided. This was a drawback as my husband needed to check in with his work, and we had planned to look up restaurants, maps, etc. while staying in Rome for our week's visit. It really would have been helpful to know this as we would have brought our own computer. Another drawback for us was that the World Cup was going on, and we did not seem to have cable or did we receive that channel. My son was crazy about the World Cup, and it was disappointing to not have good television service. Although we did not desire to watch much TV as were seeing Roma all day and night, when we did want to see it, we wanted it to work.

[So sorry. The computer was removed over a year ago because it died and we failed to notify these guests who booked very far ahead. The World Cup was not available on standard channels or even basic satellite, but they should have called their greeter for help anyway.]

We would still definitely return as it is a great apartment in a superb location. We walked everywhere. To other guests traveling in summer, I recommend getting out early no matter how jet lagged you think that you are. Take a tour of the Colliseum and the Forum and same yourself the long lines. We also had a private guide for the Vatican which was a good investment. It is tough to recommend restaurants as we had many good meals that we often came upon because we could not find the original place we were looking for. I would hate to rob anyone of their "discovery" a as that was a lot of fun. I would also say to look and see what the locals are eating. One funny story is that on our first day we stopped and a little sidewalk place and ordered pizza and salad and something else that was actually too bad to eat,a fritto misto that was laded in thick, greasy batter and when we got up to use the restroom, everyone...and I mean everyone and all locals were slurping down the same dish which was mussels over a big bowl of pasta!!! Next time!

Lastly, while it was good to have the big detailed print out of the apartment, it seemed that is was out of date and needs to be revised. Many things were incorrect, for example how to use the elevator. We managed however and again, the good things outweigh the challenges.

[I will review the apartment information to ensure it is current, although the elevator hasn't changed. Pat]

We love Italy and are already planning our next trip!

"Wonderful" Jul 2010

Our stay in the angelina apartment made our week in Rome even more special. We were greeted by Elvi who is the sweetest woman. She was very thorough, showing us around the apt and how everything worked. She then gave us a much appreciated tour of the surrounding area. There is a terrific grocery store right around the corner. The angelina is a beautiful, comfortable apartment that felt more like a home than a rental. The balcony off the living room and the roof top terrace were wonderful and we enjoyed quite a few meals on both. We could not believe the views from the roof top terrace. We also loved the location of the apt, being so close to the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens, Trevi Fountain and great shopping. We waked to all the sights in Rome from the angelina. At night, we slept like babies. It is a very quiet apartment with a terrific air conditioning system and a very comfortable bed. We have already recommended this apartment to friends and would definitely stay in the angelina again the next time we are in Rome.

Great Find Jun 2010

Thank you for all your help for what turned out to be a very special holiday. Angelina was a lovely flat, so very central that we could pretend to be Romans! Its siting could not have been better. In fact it allowed me to wander all over Rome relatively easily with a few gelato stops and so the trip turned out to be the best physiotherapy I could ever have prescribed for myself.

The two small balconies were a delight, morming, noon and night.

Elvi was a charming and reliable contact and an immensely reassuring background presence.

We will never use a hotel for Rome again. I have already recommnended the flat and you at Italy Perfect to several people.

Terrific Jun 2010

Just wanted to tell you that "Angelina" in Rome was fabulous and Elvi who cares for the place was terrific. Thx. And we will recommend you to everyone. Kathleen

Extremely Comfortable Apr 2010

I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how pleased we were with the Angelina apartment in Rome.
It was extremely comfortable, well furnished and quiet and we especially loved the roof deck.

Angelina is the best Apr 2010

This location is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Whenever I was lost I could simply look for the Trevi Fountain signs which are everywhere and know that I was 3 blocks away. The location is between Trevi Fountain and spanish steps, seconds away from the metro/subway, everything was walking distance. (Except the Vatican which the metro takes you easily to).

Now for the property. We absolutely loved the place. It was so quaint, peaceful and scenic. It helped us feel the essence of life in Rome without feeling as much tourist like at a hotel. We made our own breakfasts, and snacks. Catching up on laundry helped to pack lighter too. This place is romantic, fabulous and decorated for comfort and the feel of Rome. There are two balconies with great views. LOVED this place and will return someday. I will use Italy Perfect often in the future, every detail was completely worked out. The housekeeper Elvi is dependable waiting at your arrival, accesible with various numbers to reach her.

Internet, be sure to just look for the wire by the desk to connect directly to your computer (don't plan on WIFI wireless working), but with direct connection it worked out well and was running the entire time. Having an internet connection was helpful.

Hint: if you are visiting Vatican go to their website even the day before and pay ahead of time a ticket will be emailed to you within seconds. This will save you hours waiting in line, you simply take pass to front of line and wonder why the people in line(at least 2 hours worth of waiting) didn't simply buy online.

You will not be disappointed with this apartment. For 3 people is perfect size and still plenty of privacy for my daughter to get away from her parents. Several sliding doors to close off bedroom from hallway and family room. The kitchen level balcony is perfect for dining outside even though plenty of room inside too.

The Best Vacation. Dec 2009

Well this was the best apartment that I have rented in over 20 years of going to Italy. the Elfie lady meet me and made sure that there was even food in the refrigrator and milk and jusce and even a small bottle of wine. She had a pizza which she was going to eat for dinner and she left for me. So sweet. There was everything that you needed in the aparmtnet. I did find out the mystery of the door bell ringing at 7 am in the morning the trash men. Well I never let them in but saw on my last day there that they pushed all the door bells so someone whould let time in.

I would say this to anyone that wants a dream vacation this is the apartment for you.

The location was perfect and the apartment was just right! Nov 2009

Elvie was so helpful.   She was able to meet us early and give us the orientation.  She even let us tag along to Despar and helped us pick up some meats, cheese, and wine for snacking etc.  We had breakfast on the rooftop every day which was a real treat….the weather was perfect for it.

We know we need to go back to Rome (someday) because there was still so much we didn’t get to do….so, when it happens we’ll be hoping to get back into the Angelina.  The location was perfect and the apartment was just right!

Thanks again for everything.

Bella Angelina Oct 2009

We loved our stay @ the Angelina apartment. Though in the middle of everything, it was quiet and a great resting place from the hustle of Rome. Walking was a breeze from here, nearly every top location only a mile away, with plenty of restaurant options, a market for supplies and even 2 Bernini Angels right across the cobbled street.

Eva, the house keeper was very helpful and had the kitchen set up with some essentials when we arrived which was so thoughtful.

Our only downside was the lack of the promised computer and no one knowing the password for the WiFi as a go around. That would be helpful to have in the manual for future guests.

There was also the washing machine with a mind of its own. We ended up using it a bit as it was much warmer than we had packed for so the light clothes got extra use, but the model had changed since the manual and even though Eva showed us and left the manual (in Italian) it seemed to never do the same thing twice, so we had to keep tricking it to work. Ah, Italy.

We would definately stay here again, or another of the Italy Perfect locations. Loved having our own space and having coffee on the veranda in the morning and wine at sunset.

Dallas C, Laguna Beach, CA

We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Italy Perfect to all. Aug 2009

The location is excellent, we used the market down the street several times and we enjoyed our morning cappuccio at the cafe two doors down. The terrace was awesome too, we really had a great stay, there are so many nice features like beautiful lines, Elvie's gifts and neighborhood tour and umbrellas if needed.

We went on three different tours with Through Eterinity which were all very good.

We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Italy Perfect to all. See our review of the Medici apartment in Florence too. Lisa was very attentive to our requests, including train reservations and currency information. Our first apartment was in Venice through a different company, the difference in service was dramatic. We regretted not using Italy Perfect for all our apartments but we now know better for the next time.

A perfect experience Aug 2009

This was our first experience renting an appartment and we can tell you that we are adopting the concept for quite a few years to come. There were no deception between Italy Perfect web site, the communication with Lisa and Pat and the actual site. This is truly a 5 star accomodation. The Angelina appartment was vast in spite of the so called 'european standard', well furnished and well equiped. Safe, lovely and quiet hence located in the heart of historical Roma. Lots of sunshine through the many windows, lovely in the morning for breakfast. We did appreciated the fact that there was a phone and a computer available to us. The arrangement for transportation from airport to the city was perfect and very efficient and the welcome at the apartment well done and thourough. We are adopting ItalyPerfect.

Thrilled Again! Jul 2009

After a hectic drive into Rome and trying to find our way we were met by the greeter at our Angelina apartment. What a lovely lady, warm, generous and made us laugh. The apartment was beautiful, well situated for our needs and air-conditioned. The package provided by Italy Perfect provided us with all the information to make our stay comfortable. We had stayed with Italy Perfect (Frattina) in 2006 and thought it was terrific, this years trip was great too! Our only annoyance was that someone would ring the doorbell at 7:30 every morning. Thanks for everything,

Awesome, apartment was great!! Jun 2009
Awesome, apartment was great!! Location, amenities, roof top private terrace is so great. The views of the city were fantastic. We felt very safe in the building and walking around the surrounding area. The greeter was great and very accessible during our stay with minor questions we had. Pat Byrne was great in helping me prepare for the trip, and Italy perfect's information about Rome helped us plan our trip!! Thanks! We'll be back.

Romance in Rome! Jun 2009
We travel to Europe at least once a year and stay at vacation rentals. The Angelina Apartment was by far one of the nicest we have experienced. The linens, dishes, and furniture are all excellent and enhance your stay. The photos on the website exactly represent the property. Elvi, the greeter, is quite charming and helpful. We also used the car service recommended by Pat for transportation to/from the airport. They were perfect. The location is incredible. It is a great neighborhood that is close to so many sites you want to see and feels very safe. There are many restaurants and shops to make life as a 'local' easy and exciting. You do not hear sounds from the street below. And the balcony and rooftop terrace are a wonderful addition. We stayed during a very hot period - so we adjusted our lifestyle to match the locals - breakfast on the balcony early in the morning. Get to the sites by 8:30 and then ready for lunch at 1:00. Back to the apartment, turn on the air conditioning, and sleep till 5pm. Then it is out for dinner and activities in the evening. This worked perfectly for us.The only challenge we had was internet connection. The owner came by once to fix it, but it never worked except sporadically. That was disappointing.Pat provided wonderful documentation to read prior to the trip to understand the culture/charm/quirks/challenges of visiting Rome. They were very comprehensive and helpful. Working with ItalyPerfect was easy. We will definitely do it again. We would stay in Angelina again as well. One nice surprise was the closeness of the Borghese gardens. Wonderful place to visit just to get out of the heat and enjoy the beauty of nature. We did the typical things from the Forum, the Colosseum, Vatican, Parthenon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Jewish Ghetto, Travestere, St. Peter's Basilica, and countless churches. Rome is truly magnificent.

met and exceeded expectaions Apr 2009
Just to let you know that all went well in Rome. Your help and guidance was appreciated. The apartment was great and very convenient in terms of location and comfort. Even the soccer tixs eventually worked out [delivered to apt]. If your clients want them in future, I would recommend the agency www.romalazio.co.uk. They did everything they said they would do and even refunded money, as the seats were not where we specified [we never would have known, as seats were great}.apartment was accurately advertised. extremely clean, well furnished and in a "to die for" location. no surprises. Italy Perfect, the rental agent was easy to work with and most helpful with all aspects of our trip. You can rely on and trust their recommendations! Arrival at the apartment was seamless and our rome hostess was gracious and always available.I can not imagine anyone being disappointed with this rental. Hope to return to Italy- now hooked- and if so, will be in touch

Angelina is a great apartment! Dec 2008
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Angelina apartment. The location is central, with most of things we wanted to see first being within a short walk. The apartment itself is charming. It feels like you are borrowing someone's personal apartment, not like a rental at all. Everything works. Yes, the view in the photo is really the view from the terrace. The service was as good as you could hope for. There were no surprises, no hidden fees. We arrived late on a Saturday. Despite the fact that our flight was delayed, Elvi was waiting to give us a warm welcome and show us everything. When we return to Rome we will certainly rent an apartment through Italy Perfect and may well rent Angelina again.

Great Apartment Nov 2008
We can't imagine staying in this beautiful, exciting, crowded, noisy area anywhere but in this wonderful apartment. It is high enough to be above it all and yet right where you want to be when you go out. Right in the middle! The apartment is big and light, the livingroom all windows on one side, and the bedroom big and restful, no windows at night if you close all the doors. A perfect nest in which to sleep. The bathroom is modern and lovely, and there is a divine patio at the top of a spiral staircase, where you will want to have wine in the evening while you enjoy the view of St Peter's and the birds over the skyline, or coffee in the early morning. And Elvi gave us a perfect welcome to the apartment, the neighborhood and the city. She was at the street door when we arrived, took us up to the apartment, showed us where everything was and how it worked, then gave us short tour of the immediate neighborhood, which included directions to the supermarket. There are Rome books in the cabinet on the sun porch, a small computer on the desk in the livingroom and an espresso maker in the kitchen. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Rome!

You will NOT be disappointed with the services Aug 2008

Our accommodations were excellent - great location and everything that we needed for our stay was available. Someone greeted us (as was noted) and our stay was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the location above all. Very well organized and was exactly what we expected. The location was the highlight of the trip. Most surrounding restaurants were great - Mirabelle was exceptiolly great, but pricey. Only tip is "you will NOT be disappointed with the services".

The Angelina apartment was wonderful Jul 2008

The Angelina apartment was wonderful, and the greeter is a delight. We had a great time in Rome, and only encountered one bus strike. We really enjoyed the Alla Rampa restaurant just near the Spanish Steps. We will be happy to refer Italy Perfect and the properties we stayed in. Perhaps we will use Paris Perfect next....

It was exactly as described. Jun 2008

We had a great time. Thank-you very much. We will DEFINITELY use your services again. The apartment was terrific. It was exactly as described. Perhaps better. The cleaning lady was cheerful, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Rome is great. I think I'm going to move. As for drawbacks, the computer was in pretty bad shape and really not useful for getting onto the internet. [Needed a virus cleanup that has been done, but it is still an older machine. Pat] The location is as central as you can get. The neighborhood is basically the 57th Street of Rome. Every high fashion store on the planet is within a block or two. I'd recommend a wonderful, neighborhood place on the square in Testaccio - It's the only sidewalk cafe there, and the food is great, the prices reasonable, and NO tourists. The most interesting shops were on the streets immediately around the Piazza Fiori. Tips for future guests: Rome's expensive. Bring lots of money. Also go on a diet first so you can fit into the great clothes they have all over the place. You were great. The only thing I'd recommend is that you suggest how much to leave the cleaning lady for a tip. We left 50 euro, but weren't sure if that was right.

4+ on a scale of 1 to 5. Apr 2008

Overall, I would give Angelina a 4+ on a scale of 1 to 5. I enjoyed the most the spaciousness, the marble bath, and the terraces. Elvi was so sweet and did several things to help us out. When the toilet didn't work, we were very worried. [The entire toilet was replaced. Pat] The location is central, convenient.  Crowded, but we didn't care. You were very responsive!  I was impressed that you were so reachable.

The apartment was great, Dec 2007

The apartment was great, and extremely well located. We were very pleased and would certainly consider it for another stay. Your service is terrific--we are glad we found you.

We loved the Angelina apartment Oct 2007

We were so touched by the incredibly warm response from Elvi at the Angelina apartment.  She was amazing - invited us to go for a walk to see the neighbourhood so we saw the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps and had a gelato within two hours of arriving in Rome! We loved the Angelina apartment and appreciated the addition of milk, coffee, tea,  fresh fruit, some pasta, tomato sauce, cookies, etc.   The bed was incredibly comfortable (loved the linen sheets) and there was not a sound through the night! The location could not be beat. But honestly, it was Elvi's warm welcome that set the tone for our stay there.

The element that made it so wonderful was the roof top nest Sep 2007

We thought the accommodation was very special. The element that made it so wonderful for us was the roof top nest where we could sip our wine, taste our cheese, listen to opera on our ipod and gaze at the at the softly glimmering Roman skyline.

Enjoyed the most: Tasting the food delights of Rome in the privacy of our own apartment.

We were a bit shell shocked when we first arrived into Rome from the Almalfi coast to find that we were contributing to a total tourist invasion (mid Sept). When we walked out of our apartment it was like entering the ground floor of a Department store on the first day of the Sales. However we eventually got used to it and even found some very friendly locals in the nearby supermarket who were genuinely helpful and not at all intolerant of tourists.

If we were to go back we would have a bit of a dilemma because we both loved the apartment but think it was probably a bit of a mistake to position ourselves slap bang between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain during the high tourist season. However I think we might be tempted to book the same apartment but at a time which was less touristy.

We enjoyed a walk to Trastevere where we found a total non-tourist eatery called Saverio which we could highly recommend.

Service was very good. Elvie was very sweet and helpful. Despite my rabbitting on about “tourists” (which includes us) we had a great time and Angelina, bless her, was a big part of why we had a such an enjoyable visit to Roma.

Really enjoyed our stay at Angelina in Rome Sep 2007

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Italy and really enjoyed our stay at Angelina in Rome. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace where we watched many sunsets!  The location was ideal for us and we would definitely stay there again. Having the computer in the apartment was very nice, also. We also appreciated your [restaurant] recommendations and tried several of them. One of our best meals was at al Piccolo arrancio. The only mystery was the dryer setting on the washer/dryer combo unit. I guess we were not patient enough but we maged with the old fashioned, air-dry method. I will certainly recommend you to my network, Lisa.

The location of the apartment was perfect Jun 2007

My husband and I stayed in the Angelina apartment in Rome the last week of June, 2007. The greeting was very hospitable. For a group of three, Angelina was perfect. My mother loved the charming loft, especially because the air conditioning worked so well. In fact, the A/C in the apartment was a luxury during a week Rome experienced record high temperatures. We enjoyed relaxing in the apartment during the warmest part of each day; we made ourselves get up and out early to enjoy as much of the city as we could, and thoroughly enjoyed our quiet time in the apartment in the afternoons. The living room was spacious and offered enough room for the three of us to spread out a bit. The compact kitchen was workable. All in all, it was a very clean apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. But wait!!! I almost forgot the best part! The roof-top terrace! We ate at least one meal a day up there, usually two. The location of the apartment was perfect, within walking distance of almost everything. Well, for hard-core walkers. A few times, our tired feet demanded we take a taxi back. We had a wonderful vacation and much appreciated the efficient service and useful Rome tourism tips and restaurant recommendations from ItalyPerfect.

Always fun to see celebrities! Jun 2007

I wanted to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed the Angelina apartment in Rome...especially the location. The weather in Rome for that week was hot but we had a marvelous, enjoyable time in that wonderful city. We met the greeter the morning of our arrival and she was extremely helpful and pleasant. We also appreciated the bottled water and wine in the refrigerator and fresh fruit on the table...what a nice touch. The weather being so very hot, it was doubly appreciated. The location was wonderful. Also, we got to meet [actor] Owen Wilson several times during the week as he was staying somewhere in the next building..one or two doors down from our entrance. We seemed to be on the same schedule coming and going on many days. Always fun to see celebrities!

Neat flat, great location and warm welcome by Elvira. May 2007

Neat flat, great location and warm welcome by Elvira. The only thing I can think to gripe about are the pigeons on the roof terrace, which I guess tells you that we have nothing to complain about! Thanks.

For joggers, the location is perfect Nov 2006

The apartment was wonderful. We loved it. It was comfortably furnished, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was more than adequately eqipped, the computer (high speed internet) was a great convenience, and the owners even provided a few welcoming groceries and a bottle of wine ( a lovely touch).

We enjoyed having coffee and cereal at home in the morning and being able to eat dinner at home a couple of nights. We also enjoyed relaxing in the pleasant living room with the guidebook and planning the next day, with the computer nearby to make reservations.

The location is wonderfully convenient for shopping, siteseeing and dining. For joggers, the location is perfect--we jogged in the Borghese gardens every morning. The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are just a "stone's throw" away. The church across the street is definitely worth a visit. There is a new shop in the same block as the apartment (I don't recall the name) that sells interesting jewelry made of Murano glass.

Your website was the best that I found when I was looking for an apartment in Rome (although I didn't find it through a web search; rather through Mariann). The site provides excellent detail and a fair assessment of the apartment. There were no surprises. The car service you recommended worked well. Your follow-up e-mail in the middle of our stay was also welcome.

I have been singing your praises to everyone and have recommended your website to several interested people. We will definitely be in touch for our next trip to Italy.
