One of the most characteristic neighborhoods of central Rome in a high quality, well furnished and maintained apartment. A special association with a nearby hotel provides daily cold continental breakfast and the ability to leave luggage there when guests arrive early in the morning before the apartment is cleaned and ready.
Most famous sights in Rome are within easy walking distance. The glorious Piazza Navona is half a minute walk away. Just below is the famous Pasquino statue where, for centuries, Romans have posted political lampoons. This is one of the few remaining "Talking Statues of Rome" which history is an interesting digression.
This is a popular area so you may hear some noise from pedestrians at night, typical for such a sought after, central location in Rome.
The building is one apartment wide and is accessed from Via dei Leutari. Built in the 1800s as a family's private palazzo, it was renovated in the last century to form three apartments, one per floor. The Pasquino apartment is on the top floor for maximum light.
This most central Roman apartment is laid out wonderfully for use by vacationers. The "day" rooms, which comprise the living/dining room and kitchen, and "night" rooms are well separated by doorways so variations in guest schedules don't disturb others.
The apartment sleeps up to six people with a master bedroom, 3 twins second bedroom and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room.
The apartment overall is about 1000 square feet. One enters into a hallway lined with historic prints. On the right is the large eat-in kitchen and the next doorway leads to a spacious and light-filled living room. The beautiful dining table seats six. A grouping of sofa and love seat are placed close to the window overlooking Piazza Pasquino. Looking down into the piazza you'll get a snapshot of Roman life. A beautiful young Italian mamma pushing a baby stroller. Two regal Roman matrons, arm-in-arm, out for a stroll. A family on their way to a birthday dinner celebration. Lighthearted young men chatting and joking around standing in the piazza.
The living room has a small television with basic satellite TV reception that receives a few English language stations. There is WiFi Internet throughout the apartment. An independently controlled air conditioning system serves the living and dining room.
The master bedroom also overlooks Piazza Pasquino. It is nicely done with golden colored fabric lined walls. The bed has a leather, padded headboard and a firm queen-sized mattress. Very pretty French antique bedside tables have reading lamps. A flat screen television is mounted facing the bed. This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. Closets for this room are in an entry space just before you enter the bedroom. This outer area also opens onto the master bathroom that has a tub, sink, toilet and bidet. The hand-held shower head in the tub can be placed in a bracket on the wall. The bathrooms are older but functional. Lots of good light from the large window.
The second bedroom is the former library and has a warm glow of wood. It can sleep three in 3 single beds. One twin bed is tucked between the cabinets and feels a bit like a ship captain's bunk. The other twin bed is a trundle bed with a second bed that pulls out from underneath. This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. The bedroom overlooks Via dei Leutari, a very small side street. This bedroom has very ample closet space with many cupboards and space for storage. The second bathroom has a fully enclosed shower, sink, toilet, bidet and washing machine.
The kitchen is remarkably large for a city apartment; it has three large windows that overlook an internal courtyard. A really nice feature is the dining nook that has an L-shaped bench and a table that can seat four or five. Ideal for breakfast or for familes. The kitchen is older but clean and totally functional with refrigerator, gas range, gas oven, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils and dishes.
An important distinguishing benefit of the Pasquino apartment is its association with a nearby hotel (3 minute walk) with a friendly, helpful staff. Guests who arrive early in the day can go to the hotel and leave their luggage there. When they return in the afternoon, after the apartment is clean and ready, they will be escorted to the apartment with assistance with their luggage, too. Guests are invited to partake in the complimentary cold continental breakfast at the hotel during its regular times. If your party extends beyond the number that can be accommodated in the apartment, the hotel offers good rates to apartment guests.

| Our stay in the apartment was wonderful. | May 2012 |
Our stay in the apartment was wonderful. The area was a little noisy at night, but we can't complain about anything else. The area has a good selection of wonderful restaurants and shops. The daily open-air market is just a short walk from the apartment. The hotel buffet breakfast and staff was a real treat. This was our third trip to Rome and this was by far our favorite accommodation and neighborhood. |

| Pasquino Apartment - Great Location! | Apr 2012 |
We stayed at the Pasquino apartment March 15-18, 2012.The best thing about the apartment is it's great location. From the apartment we were able to walk to almost every attraction on our list, including Vatican City, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navonna, and the Colosseum. We took a bus from the Colosseum to the Spanish Steps and walked back to the apt. from there stopping at our favorite attractions a second time along the way. We really liked the Piazza Navonna and it is literally a one minute walk away, just around the corner. We enjoyed the free breakfast each morning at the hotel but wished it were a little closer to the apartment. We booked a Vatican tour with Cristina and it worked out great walking right in and seeing the highlights. We also returned on Sunday morning and saw the Pope from his apt window giving his 15 minute blessing in various languages to the crowd in Vatican square. We bought and printed out tickets to the Colosseum in advance at home and walked right by the long line and entered right in with no problem. We had also booked Stephano in advance to pick us up at the airport and this too was a great time saver. The apartment itself was also great for our family of 6. Lots of space, nicely decorated and overall good accomodations. The hotel was very helpful when we had questions. The only problem we had was that the mattress in the main bedroom was way too hard. The noise outside on the street at night was loud but muffled enough but we tossed and turned on the hard mattress getting very little sleep. One of the grocery stores on the apt list (the closest one) we found out is no longer a grocery store. We had a great time in Rome and saw many attractions by foot thanks to the great location of the apartment. One thing we really liked was that around almost every corner you come across another piazza, fountain, or beautiful attraction! I have a bad knee but was able to walk to almost everything. We would recomend this apartment and Italy Perfect to a friend. |

Pasquino accommodation was great and location perfect. All the restaurants nearby were good and we will definitely recommend Italy Perfect to others. We also recommend you use a private tour for the Vatican. Well worth the extra money as they give a much better insight into what's there. |

| The apartment is large, good light, good beds, comfortable and had plenty of closet space. | Mar 2012 |
Our family spent the Christmas Holidays in Rome and stayed in the Pasquino Apartment. We have two children in their late twenties. The accommdations were excellent and definitely made the trip. The apartment is large, good light, good beds, comfortable and had plenty of closet space. An added plus is the association with a hotel only one block away. The hotel was wonderful to us and Maximo gave us valuable information. Breakfast at the hotel comes with the apartment and they offer a good selection of food. The apartment is centrally located and we could walk everywhere. You are just steps away from a taxi waiting area or a bus stop. Be sure not to miss The Abbey, an Irish Pub that serves excellent food and everyone speaks English. Definitely a comfort place and it just up Via Del Governo Vecchio(maybe 1 block). Campo de fior is across the street and has a pastry shop(scelto di pane scelta)that has wonderful sandwiches. The shop is on your way into the market area.Very popular with the locals. Leave your cell phone at home. Buy a Samsung phone at Bros S.R.L. for 29Euros, it comes with 5Euros of time. We made calls to each other for 3 cents a minute and could call the USA for 8 cents a minute. The store is across the street from the hotel but there are many stores thru out Rome. You can add time as you go. We had the Blue Car Service pick us up at the Fiumicino Airport for 37 Euros, luggage included, a real bargin! We had a wonderful trip and staying at the Pasquino made the difference. My family definitely would recommend Italy Perfect. |
