Conveniently located in the heart of the historical center of Florence, in Piazza Santa Croce, the palazzo is a landmark Renaissance Palazzo, and one of the few left in the historic center of Florence with a dramatic frescoed facade.

Piazza Santa Croce is a traffic free square but the people going through the square in the evenings may be noisy. Piazza Santa Croce is the site of occasional events. Watching the Calcio Storico in June (soccer in costumes, see photos) from the Palazzo is an exciting privilege. The Christmas Market is fun, too. Other events can include theater, music concerts and ceremonies that you may enjoy or find noisy or both! Many people passing through Piazza Santa Croce notice Giovanni di Ser Giovanni's 1620 frescoes on the overhanging facade this handsome building, but few realize they can actually stay here. Tosca is a really charming three bedroom, two bath apartment on the fourth floor (American designation) of the Palazzo. There is an elevator.

The entire front of the apartment, master bedroom, living room and kitchen overlook Piazza Santa Croce, a pleasure in itself as you can observe the daily life of this Florentine neighborhood.

The luminous living room is spacious and comfortable and features two sofas, one a sofa bed for one, satellite TV, stereo hi-fi, CD and DVD players. A large, working fireplace separates the dining area from the living room. The décor is a blend of Tuscan and English country cottage.

To keep in touch, there is a loaner telephone, answering machine, and wifi Internet.

The separate eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and American-style drip coffee maker. There is also a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.

The master bedroom has a divisible queen sized bed with ensuite bathroom with shower over tub. The second bedroom has twin beds and the third has a single. They share a bathroom with a step in shower.

The office is open for check-in between 2-7pm Monday-Friday, weekend arrivals are by appointment only. If you would like a guaranteed early check in before 2pm you will need to reserve the night before. If you don't pay for an early arrival (before 2pm) and wish to get in before 2pm, even to just drop off your luggage, then call your greeter from your point of arrival and if you can get in earlier, s/he will let you know if you can come earlier. Early luggage drop off is sometimes, but not always, possible depending on staff available outside of office hours.

Santa Croce Apartments: A cash deposit is payable on arrival, refundable at check out less utilities, and internet charges as well as damages and lost keys, if any. 1% tax applied to stays of 30 or more days. Florence city tax of €2/pp/day payable to your greeter.
