Conveniently located in the heart of the historical center of Florence, in Piazza Santa Croce, the palazzo is a landmark Renaissance Palazzo, and one of the few left in the historic center of Florence with a dramatic frescoed facade.

Piazza Santa Croce is a traffic free square but the people going through the square in the evenings may be noisy. Piazza Santa Croce is the site of occasional events. Watching the Calcio Storico in June (soccer in costumes, see photos) from the Palazzo is an exciting privilege. The Christmas Market is fun, too. Other events can include theater, music concerts and ceremonies that you may enjoy or find noisy or both! Many people passing through Piazza Santa Croce notice Giovanni di Ser Giovanni's 1620 frescoes on the overhanging facade this handsome building, but few realize they can actually stay here. The 16th-century palazzo is owned by the gracious Contessa Piccolomini, who rents out truly spacious apartments to anyone who has ever dreamed of lying in bed near a roaring fire under a 17th-century frescoed ceiling or sipping tea in a living room surrounded by trompe d'oeil Roman ruins with a 16th-century wood ceiling above.

On fourth floor (American designation) of of the building adjoining Palazzo Santa Croce. It is also an ancient building but because it doesn't have the historic denomination of the neighboring building, a few more things could be done in the remodeling to increase comfort.

This warm, bright two-bedroom apartment has a master bedroom with queen size bed and windows overlooking the Piazza, views of the hills.

Antellesi Santa Croce Apartments: A cash deposit is payable on arrival, refundable at check out less utilities, phone and internet charges as well as damages and lost keys, if any. 1% tax applied to stays of 30 or more days.
